    Free Honey Butter Croissants!

Very long wait to be seated most likely due to staffing because there were tons of empty tables everywhere within the restaurant. That is the ONLY negative thing I can say, after being seated, the waitress was great and the food was delicious! The free croissants were flaky warm and wonderful. The spinach dip was awesome. I highly recommend the Monte Cristo, it's sweet and savory! The food came out fast and everything was cooked perfectly. The kitchen was on point that day and deserves 5 stars, as well as our waitress, I left her extra on the tip! Definitely 5 star service.... The experience at the front of the house with the hostess and long wait -1 star, people were walking out, unfortunately they lost many paying customers.

Really delicious lunch here! We've heard great things about Cheddar's and they did not disappoint! The decor is really interesting - very cool paddle fan. Our server was a wonderful girl who attends ECU, we talked about school and she was just so friendly and cheerful. The butter croissants are phenomenal! Then, we chose steak and the monte cristo for our entrees. Both very good. The standout was the Painkiller - look at that drink! Wowza. It about knocked me off my feet. So delicious and potent! :/ Highly recommend stopping in here - friendly service and very good food. Ample parking and convenient in Greenville.

So many good things to say, where do I start?? We were immediately sat down when we got here and the hostess was very nice! Immediately after being sat down at our table a waiter was immediately there introducing herself and taking drink orders, of which she was very patient because we had no idea what we even wanted to drink! Lmbo! After getting drinks and coming to our table a 3rd time because we had no idea what we wanted to eat, of our waiter was extremely patient with a bubbly, cheerful demeanor! After ordering our food, the manager ( Kaci) came to our table to inquire about the experience and to make sure we were being taken care of. I can appreciate when a manager personally comes around to tables. His attitude was so warm, his attention to detail was everything, and his professionalism was astounding. Sooo the food came out and I ordered a 16 Oz T-bone and babbyyy it was giving very much lick your fingers and LICK the plate! I'm extremely picky about my steaks and they nailed it. I had the pleasure of meeting the Chef (Cedric) he was very knowledgeable and pleasant, I will definitely be visiting here when I'm in North Carolina again! The ambiance was very warm and welcoming! The restaurant was decorated nicely!

service can be slow but it beats out all the other chains in town by far. Most items actually taste fresh and homemade.

It just feels stagnant and uninspired. Nothing new, nothing seasonal, nothing exciting. If you've been once, you've basically seen it all. The food itself was bland and boring. Dishes lacked seasoning and creativity, and nothing stood out as memorable. For the prices they charge, you expect at least some depth of flavor, but everything felt flat. Service was also slow, even though it wasn't especially busy. We waited far too long for basic things, and the staff didn't seem particularly attentive or professional. There was a noticeable lack of urgency and overall polish. Overall, it feels like a place that hasn't evolved in years -- same menu, same energy, same issues. Unfortunately, it just doesn't live up to expectations.

We ended our amazing dinner sharing an incredible white chocolate bread pudding. The place is kitschy & cool, taking full advantage of a busy storefront display. The service was perfect, not too invasive or pushy, just the right amount of southern hospitality and menu knowledge (we got the steak sauce on the side and the amazing dessert as suggested!). We look forward to returning.

It was delicious. Would definitely get it again. My only complaint is the potato was not piping hot. Next time I'll send it back, but I was hangry, y'all! That said, I'll get it again. Half and half tea was on point, and the sweet potato roll was delish as normal. The staff is friendly and helpful, and will trade happy smart remarks with you if you're so inclined. The fellow who helped us was kind to my retired schoolteacher mom...and that ALWAYS wins in my book. It's a bit noisy, but to be expected...and we're always glad to see the is place busy and full! About once a year for the last six years, I've gone back hoping things had improved, and unfortunately, they haven't. This visit was no different. I wish I had taken pictures, the seats at our table had dried, crusted food stuck to them, like they hadn't been properly cleaned in a very long time. The menus were also dirty, with dried food stuck on them as well. That alone was pretty off-putting. Our waitress was friendly, which I appreciated, but the food arrived cold, something that's become the norm here. It also feels like since COVID, not only have the sizes of the French toast, pancakes, meatloaf and other menu items gotten smaller, but the overall quality of the ingredients has noticeably declined. The food just doesn't taste the way it used to in not a good way. I know quality of the food isn't always controlled by each location but by centralized distribution centers. Someone dropped the ball when sourcing quality food for these restaurants. Overall, it's disappointing to see how much things have changed, and not for the better.

Think Waffle House energy, but local and without the franchise feel. You could tell people actually come there because they enjoy the food. Now as a coffee enthusiast, I'll be honest, the only hiccup for me was the coffee selection. It's straight black coffee only. Not a deal breaker, just don't walk in expecting a latte menu. I ordered the pork chop breakfast (and if you're judging pork... respectfully keep scrolling ). It came with grits, toast, and eggs. The pork chop was good, eggs were cooked right, toast hit the spot, and the grits just needed a little salt. Overall? It's not where you go for an aesthetic brunch with edible flowers and $18 pancakes. It's where you go when you want a GOOD breakfast that feels familiar, filling, and real. And honestly, there's something refreshing about that. Would definitely go back. Greenville needs places like this.
