This is a tough review to write. I've eaten at other Cheddar locations and usually have a good experience but this time was a complete disaster. I travel and sometimes chain restaurants offer consistency that I can appreciate, but not this time. Sat at the bar and the bartenders were busy but attentive. Ordered a cocktail and steak dinner, medium. The steak came out completely charred to the point of being charcoal on one side and barely touched by a grill on the other yet cooked beyond well done. I didn't even know this was possible and cut it in half just out of curiosity to find it was indeed cooked completely through. Needless to say I sent it back and asked for another complete steak dinner and let them know I was in no hurry, that I didn't hold the bartender accountable for the error and to take their time. The next dinner showed up 5 minutes later and was as bad as the first. How food can come out of a kitchen so far from what was ordered and make it in front of a paying customer is beyond comprehension. I paid for my drinks and left and will not be back to this location ever again. It's a shame as the other Cheddars I have been to have been much better as far as food goes. read more

this is in regard to the take out service, I have utilized this method on more than one occasion, each time I was placed on hold for an extended period of time, was told what time to pick up food only to have to wait for it further, this last time which was last Thursday 05/24/2018 I ordered two items, only to get there and be told that the order was not sent to the kitchen, I had to wait an additional 25 mins for it to be done, and was only given a 25% discount. Disappointing experience at this location. 1. Service was extremely slow. 2. Waited 15-20 minutes for cocktail. Once it arrived, waitress said bar was backed up and hoped the drink was ok and if it wasn't she'd have another one made. Drink was fine but I would think your staff would feel more confident in what they are serving. 3. Waited over 30 minutes for tilapia and burger. Burger was fine but fries were lukewarm at best. Tilapia was served without sides. Person that brought it said she would be back with broccoli. Se never returned and we had to ask waitress for broccoli and coleslaw. She returned with the broccoli and informed my Mother that they were out of coleslaw and offered a replacement. 5 more minutes before the rice was served. 4. Waitress (Rachel) was either extremely tired, uninterested and frustrated or heavily medicated. 4. As we were leaving I stopped by the hostess stand and asked for a comment card and got a blank stare from all 4 hostess/waitresses. I was told they did not have a comment card but I could write something in the phone message log book or even better, post something on Facebook. Clearly, this group of young ladies need training on proper customer service. Correct response if someone is asking how they can make a comment about your place of business is "Please let me get a manager for you". Highly unlikely I will return as there a many choices to dine and the only real thing that separates any business is how you treat your customers and unfortunately, my experience with your staff left a little to be desired and I think it might be the norm based on other comments on Yelp. read more

Got ribs and sirloin and it came with 2 sides for 15.99 which was very good price for the amount of food. The ribs were fall off the bone delicious. Only down side was they were actually over staffed in my opinion. We were asked 3 times how big our party was, "hello it's 2" not that hard. Worst restaurant experience of my life. Went into the restaurant the day after Thanksgiving visiting family in the St. Lucie West area. Sat at the table, and a young server named Cayla was taking our order. My fiancé and I each ordered two soups to start. The soups were never brought out. Our main course arrived and the server Cayla asked if we still wanted the soups? We said yes that we wanted the soup. The soups were finally brought out after we finished our main course. Our drinks were never refilled. We just wanted to leave and gave the server my credit card to get me out. Cayla dropped off the credit card receipt, and I signed and left. When I got home to Tampa I realized Cayla did not put the credit card back in the check holder. Took me 15 minutes just to get a hold of a manger named Chris who said he could help me, I verified all my information from the credit card receipt, and gave him my address to mail the credit card back to me in Tampa. I thought that was the end of it until my credit card never came. Chris never contacted me back to tell me that Cheddars had no intention of sending me my card unless I came back in person. I spoke with another manager named Brian Smith who also blew me off. Finally the area manager Kathleen Jones took the corporate line each time saying that there's nothing they can do. We waited for the first two weeks of the restaurant's just open hype to settle down so we didn't have to wait an hour and deal with kitchen delays. We were seated promptly in a comfortable booth, and were attended to right away for drinks and appetizers. Rachel was our server and she did a wonderful job keeping up considering how busy they were even before the dinner crowd. The ice machine could not keep up with demand, and that's about the only issue I could see during our visit. The kitchen was just a bit slow getting our entree's out but everything arrived piping hot and as a complete order which is worth the wait. As far as the food, the beer battered O-rings (appetizer) were awesome, included two sauces and nicely stacked with enough for four to share. The fried chicken (buffalo style) and shrimp combination platter was tender, and spiced just right. My daughter ordered the Spasagna Dinner, and my wife had the Fried Chicken Dinner. We had plenty of leftovers to take home which we enjoyed the following day for lunch. We enjoyed our visit to Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen and will return as soon as possible. If you're on a family budget, you probably won't be eating there every week, as it's not bargain budget. Keeping that in mind, it is a nice addition to our community that we will enjoy every chance we can. read more

My friend had the grilled chicken pecan salad - with strawberry vinaigrette on the side. She said it was very good and we both enjoyed a relaxed setting in the bar area. My husband and I wanted to try something new since we come every year. The decor is nice and the name intrigued me I was hoping it was more fresh food or farm to table. We found out this a chain restaurant. I was trying to find something healthy to eat but hesitated with the options on the menu. When the waitress took our order I decided on the sweet heat chicken and shrimp. My husband ordered the philly steak sandwich which was ok not great. My meal was the worst ever. I felt kinda bad when the waitress checked on us and I hated my meal and I mean everything on the plate. I told her there was way too much dressing on the salad so she offered and brought me a side salad with dressing. The meal had this disgusting sauce all over the chicken rice and shrimp. I tried to eat the part with the least amount of sauce but it was drenched. The staff was friendly but I won't return because of the food. We went there last night for my husbands birthday 2/25/2020 . This was our first time here. We waited to be seated and hostess walked so fast I didnt know which way she went. We sit down the waiter comes and takes our drink orders ( sodas) .He takes our appetizer order and brings back 4 croissants. They weren't even cooked all the way through. There was a cold lump of dough in the center and they weren't really warm even though the plate was. We finally get our food after 45 mins and my husbands steak is cold, My daughters chicken strips have no flavor and her fries are very salty. My son's burger was not seasoned and his fries were salty as well. I got chicken alfredo and we joked how they gave me so much I could eat it for days. The chicken had a weird texture to it. like it was boiled or something but not cooked enough. It wasent pink though but it was chewy. The alfredo sauce you could tell was from a jar. it had no flavor to it. To say we are disappointed is an understatement especially since it was my husbands birthday. I doubt we will be back. We went around 8 pm and most people were finishing their dinners so it wasent busy. I don't know why it took so long to get our food. Cheddars in PSL is a new restaurant in town and the food is outstanding but the wait staff needs to be better trained! It's a crime to wait 45 minutes for an onion ring appetizer! And then, to add insult to injury, the meal was brought to our table just as the appetizer arrived. We inquired of the waitress regarding our appetizer 4 times and each time she said, "I'll check on it." But it wasn't until a table mate sought the manager and complained that both the onion ring appetizer and all meals were brought to the table. The meal was delightful but we were so aggravated at the service provided that we had a difficult time enjoying the meal. Very disappointed, when out for dinner last night, should have left when the two hostesses seemed to be bothered when I asked about how long of a wait for 2. She mumbled something to the other hostess, and picked up menus and flagged me to follow her. We get seated in the corner booth in the bar area, the floor was sticky, and napkins on the floor, our server came over right away and was semi pleasant, we ordered queso which was watery and tasteless, the chips were salty and greasy. We ordered a burger with a side of fries which consisted of about 12 fries for $2.49, and monte cristo, which the outside was hot and the inside was cold and the turkey was grey and lifeless. Very good value and price point. Food is very fresh and portions are above average in size and quality for midpriced chain. I have eaten in others and it is consistent with previous experiences. Since the place is only a month or so old the wait time can be on the long side. I have visited at least three times and had a variety of dishes, most involving chicken tenders, all very good. I was expecting such a great experience, the staff was awesome and did great. The worst part was corporate influenced borderline insulting. Had to wait 1 hour and 15 minutes for a table so We thought what would pass the time and decided on having some cocktails. Arriving at the high tops waiting for our reservation we ordered and then were guided to our table. After sitting down the general manager arrived with waters announcing that we were cut of from having any more drinks. Apparently this company manages with a big brother mentality standardizing their guest drink consumption and determining when they've had enough instead of gauging a guest like they should. I'm so disappointed and the way they made me and my friends feel after that moment has never happened to anyone I have ever encountered even in some of the worst restaurants I've experience. Listen chedder's executives if you build a full bar and cut guests off based on drink number, which by the way I had three beers, maybe reconsider building the bar at all. If I were the owner I would use it as table space and do beer and wine to expand profitability within my store. Well, the water has a funny taste, even with a lemon wedge. The "NEW" dish SPASAGNA I ORDERED WITH MEAT SAUCE WAS ONE OF THE WORST DISHES I HAVE EVER ORDERED. The meat sauce was great. The layers of spaghetti and cheese had no congruent sense of flavor. A mac&cheese dish would have easily surpassed this menu item that should be dropped as not to induce self dieting. We also ordered the 1/2 rack of ribs and chicken with a baked potato and broccoli. The baked potato was not completely cooked and was served cool. The chicken was great as was the broccoli. I realize this is a new new location but come on. They made good on removing the charge for the spasagna and also for my Caesar I forgot to mention was swimming in very good dressing. The staff was very cheerful, accommodating and concerned to make things right which is why I give them still 5 stars since it's rare to find an establishment that cares enough to listen, request feedback and wants to do better.
