Steak with mushrooms and mashed potatoes

What a lovely space! The staff are consistently very friendly. We have been there a few times and seated quickly. My husband always orders steak, but everything we've tried on the menu has been prepared very well. Highly recommend. We will return when we are in town. Looking forward to our next visit.

I ordered the 16 oz filet sirloin with a baked potato and mac & cheese. While the meal wasn't quite what I expected, I wouldn't specifically order the entrée again. The steak was not cooked entirely to my requested preference, and the mac & cheese lacked flavor. However, I would still return to try other items on the menu. The service was excellent, and I really appreciated the restaurant's brickwork and overall interior design, which created a warm and inviting atmosphere.

We had our Book Club meeting here on a Friday night. It wasn't very loud, so we were able to have a good discussion. Our waitress was very nice and accommodating. We all ordered drinks. I had the margarita. I have to say it was pretty good and the price pretty decent. I had the chips the fish and chips for my meal. It was a good size portion. The batter on the fish was good. It came with coleslaw as well. I didn't like the tartar sauce. It was on the sweet side. They don't take reservations. Parking is available on site, but you may have to park behind the restaurant.

We came here for my birthday last Saturday night and were immediately seated. The decor had a log cabin vibe. Our waitress took our drink order and appetizer promptly. Our food came out in a timely manner and was delicious. We ordered the Firecracker shrimp as a starter, I got the 6oz fillet with mushrooms and sweet potato. My husband also got the steak meal but with a loaded baked potato and my son got the ribs. The half rack was a huge portion. Everything was great overall and we had a nice meal. Appreciate the great service!

Ambiance is laid back. Which i appreciate. The hostess seated us right away. The service on the other hand by the waiter was lack luster. We had to wait until he came by to get refills. After we were finished with our order ( fish&chips/ chicken tenders with fries and opinion rings and my 6oz sirloin and loaded baked potato) he was ready to give us our to go boxes and the bill. Didn't even ask if we wanted dessert or anything like that. I kinda had to interrupt him before he said I will get your check. I told him politely we wanted dessert. Didn't ask if we wanted a refill then. So ... yeah .. there's that Over all the food was good and would recommend. Just didnt like the waiter at all

This is our second time here, my suegro loves this place! We started with the Spinach dip (8/10) then ordered the Monte Cristo Sandwich (9/10), Tropical Mahi Mahi (8/10) , Aspen Hawaiian Chicken and lastly Rainbow Trout both (10/10) Our waiter Isabella was very nice and refilled our waters/ teas as she walked around to check on us. Can't wait to come back

We had a big party with separate checks, this did not faze our friendly fabulous waitress one bit! The manager checked in with our book club group and actually told us it was the library area and that we needed to be quiet - we all broke-up laughing and continued having a fun discussion. With 11 women, there were plenty of food options selected. I had a terrific chicken bacon sandwich. The chicken was tender and juicy. The fries were well-seasoned and crispy. My neighbor went for the mile-high meatloaf: mashed potatoes with meatloaf then onion rings all covered with crispy bacon crumbles. Huge portion, plus a side - she had fresh crispy brocholi. Several gals ordered one of the offered soups and all loved their choice. Generous portions so lots of doggie bags! Located just off the intersection of Bandera Road and 1604; plenty of parking.

This is a great place for a solid lunch or dinner. Family friendly. Good food options. Nice bar to grab a bite or drink. Food/drink specials each day of the week day. I'm a BIIIIIG fan of their fish tacos. Comes with elotes and 3 tacos. I get a side of green beans and Jubba gets the sweet potatoes with button mushrooms and we share. If you gave you phone number and are a member, when you check in 3-4 times, you get $10 of $20 so we get that meal for a nice price. Out kids enjoy the kids meals. The burger is nice. It's always our go to when we don't feel like cooking..or want a quick lunch date before heading back to work.

Ambiance: Friendly dining environment perfect for really any occasion or just grabbing a quick bite. Highly recommend the sirloin special on Mondays! One of the best sirloins I've had for the price. The sides were amazing - get the grits! I'll have to come back and try more of their side dishes. Fast & friendly service. Clean & parking onsite. Outlets available at the bar to charge your phone or work on your laptop.

Veterans Day we picked up a free $15 off coupon, which enticed us to come check them out for lunch another day. We were greeted immediately and seated. Alex, our server, was awesome- friendly and accommodating. We ordered: Habanero burger- good and tasty, but beware super messy to eat. Hubby had to eat it real quick, couldn't set it down as the sauces and juices would run and the buns were soaked. Super flavorful though with a nice kick. Chili pork chop with green beans- pork chop seasonings were on point, but the cut and cook were dry. It took me awhile to eat, as it was not pleasing. Alex was nice enough to throw in some applesauce for me. Overall, food was ok, not sure I'd go out of my way to come back, but service was A+

Food was 9/10 service awesome. The Parmesan fried mushrooms are soooo good with ranch dipping sauce. I ordered the mile high meatloaf geez that was so good. Exactly what I needed. Delicious!! My bf ordered the steak and ribs. 10/10

I didn't catch our waitress's name, but she was very attentive and fun. The burger I got was the Hangover, which lots of places have now, but this one was a little different in that it had hash browns, an egg, and bacon. The hash browns were a really nice addition. I added an extra patty and upgraded to the jalapeno cheese bun. It normally comes on TX toast which I think would be equally tasty. Not the absolute best burger I have had, but it was solid! I doubt you'd be disappointed, but not sure you would say this is the new heavyweight champ. The onion rings were very good. Sweet potato fries were a little lacking. Wife for the BLT...awesome with a solid amount of bacon, and my mom got the Rueben and it was as good as any I have had. Cool spot, add it to your list!

From the moment we stepped into 6 Klicks Cafe, the vibe was immediate--warm, welcoming, and real. Not forced, not corporate. Just genuine energy. The kind of place where you already know you're about to eat good before you even see the menu. The Food I ordered the grilled chicken marsala, and they didn't just throw it on a plate--they presented it. Everything looked intentional. * Chicken cooked perfectly * Sauce was on point * Mashed potatoes? Had me wanting the recipe after one bite * Green beans with sausage and onion--straight comfort food I also tried the chicken tenders, fries, and Texas toast--everything was done right. Crispy where it needed to be, flavorful across the board. Portion size? Let's be real, it felt like they made the plate for two people. ________________________________________ ‍ Service Service was top-tier. * Greeted immediately * Server knew the menu and helped us decide * Drinks came fast (shoutout to that blackberry tea ) * Food came out in under 10 minutes No waiting, no confusion, no "let me check on that" energy. Just smooth. ________________________________________ Atmosphere This place has identity. It's not trying to be trendy--it's authentic. You can feel the story behind it. Family vibe all day. ________________________________________ Price vs Value Not the cheapest--but worth it. When the portions are big, the food is made right, and the experience is solid... the price makes sense. ________________________________________ Final Verdict 10/10 (with no real complaints) This isn't just somewhere you eat. We didn't realize this place was a cousin of Shiro and owned by the same guy until we saw some similarities in their style, layout and menu but nevertheless, the food was still absolutely amazing. Even though the ambiance had some similarities, I'm glad their food options were distinguished because otherwise could have just gone downtown. You cannot go wrong with any of their food options. Highly recommend doing family style so you can get a taste of everything and all the different flavors. We started with the gyoza and calamari which were to die for and were not greasy at all. Pork ssam, wagyu, miso pasta and octopus all brought a little bit of their own element and flare to your palate that it's hard to describe unless you try it. Wagyu was just melt in your mouth delicious. Pork ssam and octopus had their crunchy texture and umami flavors. The miso pasta added a light refreshing touch to balance everything out but don't let it fool ya, the noodles will expand in your stomach. We topped it off with their yuzu cake. Our only disappointment was they were out of their other desserts but nevertheless everyone of us left full and happy. Would come here again.

When I first read about Yozora, I honestly thought it sounded a bit pretentious. Fascinating, but…read morepretentious. Because the idea of music being an actual integral part of the dining experience--not just some kind of background noise--felt a little precious for my taste. I'm glad to admit I was wrong. So let's start with the ambiance and the vibe of Yozora. It's in a fairly non-descript kind of center; not bad but not specially memorable. But the space itself is open and has an air of restrained sophistication. And then there's that hi-fi set up. The music at Yozora really is part of the experience, but it's not intrusive in the way that you'd think. Most of what my dining companion and I heard was 50s and 60s jazz, and it was perfect for the occasion. Sushi and Coltrane are a great mix, and even though we were not far from the hi-fi system, I could hear every word of our conversation, without the need for either of us to raise a voice. Somehow, it's like the music operates on a different frequency from regular table chatter. Suffice to say, the music enhanced the mood and really set a scene for Yozora's chefs to tell some stories. And that, they do really well. We started out with seasonal tempura and miso masu ceviche--ocean trout marinated in miso, soy, and lime juice--that was sublime. But funnily enough, the real star small plate was a truffle creamy miso soup that was earthy and slightly sweet at the same time and was silky in texture. From there, we ordered a series of crudo and battera, each unique in its own way. It was wonderful stuff, accompanied by a rice lager. The kitchen at Yozora is not shy about experimenting with non-traditional flavors and ingredients. Sometimes it works really well; sometimes, not as well, but it's never bad, and the servers actually ask for feedback for the kitchen, which is something I rarely see. Yozora honestly seems to be most concerned with creating a great dining experience, and it does that, from the chefs to the line cooks to the servers (who are helpful and attentive without hovering). The music, the mood, and the menu add up to a memorable experience.

Birthdays, random cravings, "we survived the week" dinners & you name it, we've probably celebrated it here. The vibe is casual, fun, and laid-back, which is exactly what you want when you're about to put on a bib and commit to a seafood boil. And yes, that is exactly what you should do here because the boils never miss. The seafood is always fresh, the sauces are flavorful, and the spice levels are not playing around. My recommendation? Stick with level 2 unless you enjoy sweating through your meal and reevaluating your life choices. My go-to combo is mussels, shrimp, crab legs, potatoes, boiled egg, and veggies. And before anybody gets suspicious about the veggies in a seafood boil, hear me out, they absolutely belong there. We started with the 1/2 dozen chargrilled oysters ($19.12) and the Smash'd Margarita Flight ($11 during happy hour). Chargrilled Oysters: 8.5/10 The oysters were cooked in garlic butter and Parmesan and served with crispy toast. The toast was definitely a highlight for me it added such a good texture and paired really well with the oysters. I would absolutely order these again! Smash'd Margarita Flight: (9/10) This was a fun way to get a taste of the different margaritas they offer. The prickly pear was my favorite of the flight! It came with lemon aioli and sweet Thai dipping sauces. It was so good! My husband tried the beer battered cod tacos with sweet potato fries from the chalkboard and I got the crab cake with arugula salad off the appetizer menu. It was all delicious. Only tweaking to recommend is cooking the sweet potato fries a little longer and having a little more flavor in the dressing for the arugula. But it was all so good! It was served with flatbread for dipping, and the lemon butter sauce was absolutely delicious. I followed our server's recommendation and ordered the Chicken Napoletana for my entrée. In all seriousness, it was one of the best chicken dishes I've ever had. The balance of flavors, the sauce, and the overall execution were perfect. I would absolutely come back just to order this dish again. We also had the pizza and spaghetti with meatballs, and both were delicious. The bread deserves a special mention as well- 10/10. I found this restaurant while visiting San Antonio and wanted to avoid dining near the River Walk, so I followed an article that listed it as the best authentic Italian restaurant in the city. After eating here, I completely agree with that assessment. Overall, this was an outstanding meal and a place I would gladly recommend to anyone looking for excellent Italian food in San Antonio.

Food was ok ... my pizza was more soft than im use to... a little on the sweeter side as well ... over all it was descent. The bread was less to be desired. Stopped in for dinner last night. Sat at the bar…read more We shared a meal. I was disappointed in our choice of entrées, but it was cooked exactly as listed on the menu. It was our fault for not interpreting the menu correctly. Absolutely nothing on the restaurant. We thought we were getting fish that had sauce on it - our bad. The drink drinks were good - a little bit too sweet for me. It was called the swamp thing. Sitting at the bar, the service was good. We were right by the oyster station and they were kicking the oysters out! The blue points were excellent.

Thankfully the manager has it removed due to his mistake. When it came to getting sat, at 45 min I went to ask for an update and they had the nerve to tell me it was going to be another 45 min!! I was like heck no! I'm pregnant and there wasn't as many people when we first arrived. There were way more people waiting now. The hostess apologized said they had a large reservation but will make sure we get sat in 10-15 min. Good thing I checked. Then when we got sat (family of 6), we were sat right under the AC and it was freezing cold. Thankfully they turned it down some for us. I was also disappointed that most of their dishes do not come with veggies, you need to order it separately. And they don't allow you to sub broccoli for the green beans with the kids. Also extremely disappointed in their to go boxes being styrofoam! As much as you pay to eat here they can't offer better quality to go boxes. Styrofoam is banned in most other countries bc of the toxicity ‍ and I asked for some parchment paper and look what they gave me! Overall though the food was good minutes the mistakes and cold temperatures.
