My family of four came to eat here one Saturday afternoon. We sat in the bar area as it was very packed and there was soccer on. There are 2-3 TVs in the bar area to watch. They have a large high top table and a few smaller tables in the bar area. We were promptly greeted waters brought out. My wife and I ordered wine and received very reasonable pours. I ordered an Angry Bison burger and fries , my wife had the classic cheeseburger, my little had the Jambalaya pasta , and oldest order led smoked wings and fries. Both burgers were cooked medium well and were very juicy. Could use a little more seasoning but nothing to be upset about. Thick Patty and cheese melted. The French fries were salted just right and crisp. My oldest enjoyed her wings and fries, just wanted more Buffalo sauce which my they gave her. The pasta was good and noodles cooked al dente as expected. We have been here a few times and it's always a good experience. read more

Pleasantly surprised! I had no idea what to expect but figured it would be along the lines of Chili's or Applebees but must say the food is better than both. I have driven by this place millions of times as my folks live only 10 mins away and never thought to give it a try. After a little local shopping we were hungry and decided to pop in. So glad we did! Service was excellent. Our waitress was attentive, helpful and so sweet. The food was fresh, flavorful and perfectly cooked. Sometimes fried mushrooms can be too salty or overly breaded. Not here. They were perfect. The fish and chips were also fantastic. Not too thick with the batter and perfectly flaky. We had our Book Club meeting here on a Friday night. It wasn't very loud, so we were able to have a good discussion. Our waitress was very nice and accommodating. We all ordered drinks. I had the margarita. I have to say it was pretty good and the price pretty decent. I had the chips the fish and chips for my meal. It was a good size portion. The batter on the fish was good. Two large pieces of fish provided of which I could only eat one. Companion's shrimp was not as plentiful however. Very few shrimp provided with LOTS of fries as a disguise, I suppose. Now we are seated, talking about the thunder roaring outside the restaurant. 10minutes go by, almost 15minutes go by, where is the server? Hello uhhh whatever okay we order our meal and drinks. We ordered two waters and one doctor pepper. We get two straws, my mother doesn't have a straw and the server says I'll be right back with it. It has always been my family's tradition to go to Christmas Eve services followed by a nice dinner wherever we found a suitable place that was open. Over the years, it seems like the services have started earlier and earlier. This year they started at 4:00 PM, so our dinner was at 5:30. This gave us a lot of choices of places that would still be open. In fact, it seems that more and more restaurants were opting to stay open this year. Anyway, my wife gave me three choices, and I picked this one. We got on the waitlist as we left the house after picking up our son. When we arrived, we were led straight to our table, where our server, Gracie, immediately came to take our drink orders. My wife and son both ordered some amazing cocktails. I, since I no longer drink alcohol for health reasons, ordered iced tea. Gracie brought my tea and water for the others right away. I asked her for more Sweet and Low, since there was only one on the table. She came back with a huge stack of them- plenty for me and plenty more to put in the little container for the next customers. Soon, another server delivered the cocktails to the table. Perhaps Gracie was not old enough to serve the alcohol. Maybe, the bar service is always served by others. I don't know. Anyway, those cocktails looked really nice with their fresh fruit decorations. My wife and son said they were very good. Gracie took our food order. My wife ordered some kind of steak with a bleu cheese topping. My son ordered the bison burger. I ordered one of my favorite foods, the Monte Cristo sandwich even though I knew I would only be able to eat one or two pieces of it. Fried foods rarely agree with me, but I love them too much to care much. When the food came, my son got a plain looking cheeseburger by mistake. He told the server who brought it to the table and he took it back to the kitchen. Gracie came over immediately and apologized and made double sure what he wanted. I had barely taken a bite of my food when his corrected order was served to him. All was good, and Gracie handled everything like an expert. My Monte Cristo was really good. It was exactly the kind I like, which is not always easy to find in San Antonio. As expected, I could only manage two pieces ( 1/2 of it) and a few of the plethora of french fries that were on my plate. I asked for a to go box. My wife and son enjoyed every bit of their meals and had nothing to take home. I wanted dessert, but none of the choices appealed to me. I asked Gracie if it was possible to have a scoop of plain vanilla ice cream. She did whatever she had to do to make it happen. In seconds, I had a huge bowl of it in front of me. I really liked this place. I can't wait to go back and try some other items on the menu. The Mile High Meatloaf (or whatever it was called) sounded really great to this boomer. I would love to come back and learn that Gracie was my server again. She did such a nice job for us, that I credit her with making my Christmas Eve dinner a wonderful experience. read more

I couldn't find it after it went under the table and I was paranoid the whole time. I finished my food and it was good. His didn't really come out grilled, just shrimp with the pow wow sauce which lacked a bit of flavor. The steak was good and was cooked to medium how we wanted it. Food was great non the less. Drink: i got the ski bum drink twice! It was so tasty. Such a tropical fruity drink. Service: our waitress was sweet and friendly. It was busy here, which probably added to several of our order mix ups. Missing items when we got our food and wrong order of shrimp. I didn't get my cole slaw, and had to ask for it. It also took a little while before we were finally seen to order. This was the only minor issue on this specific day. Could be better on other days. Party of two arrived on May 15, 2025 at about 5:50 p.m. the parking lot was full but we persisted! Surprisingly, We were seated immediately! Our Server was Ryan, a tall drink of water and a nice young man who provided very good service throughout our stay. Again We ordered the Pan seared Trout on a Bed of very Delicious Rice with Cole Slaw . We also ordered some Mac and Cheese. Unfortunately it had no taste and at best it was luke warm. Salt and Pepper took care of the taste. The Mac got colder as we ate. We asked a server, not Ryan, about "bread"and he got a look on his face! He said "We would have to charge you for it"! At least that is what I heard. The meal was expertly prepared and served in a very timely manner. The presentation remained expertly done and the meal, except for the Mac & Cheese was delicious! We were very pleased with the meal and with Ryan's friendly way! We still Highly recommend Aspen Creek but watch out for the Mac&Cheese and the no bread! I have a College Degree with a BS in Management and have been trained in two Culinary Schools, to include on the job training at other venues. I've managed full service as well as fast food restaurants and have had my own successful Catering business. The food and the service was fantastic and the pricing of the food was awesome for what we received the waitress was unbelievable helpful and helped us out very well. I find myself craving Aspen Creek Grill often. The food is fresh. My favorite dish right now is the pineapple chicken that comes with pineapple salsa on top! They know how to prepare one awesome sweet potato casserole with marshmallows! The Cole slaw is creamy, cool, and crunchy. Now if you're a sweet toothed person like myself, do yourself a favor and try their brownie! I was also able to try my friend's rice. Came here to celebrate one of my birthday dinners and was very happy with the service and the food. We put ourselves on the waitlist via yelp so we didn't wait too long. Jasmine was our server and she was amazing, highly recommend requesting her. She's super attentive and friendly, also made sure we always had refills. When we walked in it was around 70 degrees outside. Inside was very cold and I joked with the waiter I'd like to order a blanket. Waiter came back and said the manager would turn up the temperature. It did not warm up much, so we ended up getting the food to go because my spouse could not stop shivering. It seemed to take a long time to get fish tacos and pasta.
