I have always had wonderful experiences at Cheese Ranch! Their food is always flavorful and fresh, they have great variety, and the decor is cute and inviting. Their outside sign is always updated, and you can tell Rich (the owner) and the employees have a lot of pride in their business and put a lot of work in! The customer service is exceptional! This is a huge disappointment. I just went here for lunch and was extremely unimpressed. The menu doesn't clarify what comes on the sandwich, all the choices are described as "meat, cheese, and stuff." You cant even choose what meat or cheese you want. It's just a surprise. My "natural bird" sandwich came with 2 slices of grocery bought bread, 2 tiny slices of average deli turkey, one small slice of Swiss, and the smallest amount of pesto. That was $8, with no lettuce, tomato, onion, mustard, or anything at all. The only good thing about this place was the selection of cheese behind the counter that you can buy per pound. If you want a cafeteria style sandwich more basic than your mom made you in elementary school, this is your place. Sorry to be so harsh, but I was truly shocked at how bad this was. read more

This deli is amazing! So happy to have a "real" deli in Golden now. We ordered two sandwiches. They both can with fruit or chips and the price was very reasonable. My hubby had the Italian and it was absolutely delicious. I had the turkey and pesto sandwich which was also extremely good but I would have enjoyed more meat and cheese on there. It was slightly sparse. The patio area was very nice as well. Overall, I will definitely return! read more

Lovely little deli with the sweetest most gracious owner and host. Stopped by today after a hike on Lookout Mountain with our two little ones, and they couldn't have been nicer. Yummy sandwiches, great cheese (we got some for tasting-my kids have surprisingly pretentious taste in cheese LOL), and a very nice bathroom with a real changing table (not one of those Koala things!). Colorado Native humble small business owner is the one and only "cheese whiz"around. We had the a killer panini Dago sandwich... Italian meats olive tapenade, cheese, banana peppers and the bread to top it off pleased well. This will have us become regulars in no time! read more

Visiting from Arizona for one night, was in the mood for a soft cheese. Found this shop near our hotel per Yelp. They were so friendly and helpful! They offered many samples of cheese and crackers. Chose the Delice Bourgogne, Gouda, La Panzanella artisan crackers, and Divina fig spread. I loved it all. I highly recommend stopping here! read more

The service is fantastic. I brought my dogs and waited outside with them while my dad ordered, but he forgot to tell them that I'm extremely allergic to onions so I ended up having to take a sandwich back. They remade it for me without onions for no extra charge even though it was our fault for forgetting to ask them to take the onions off. They also brought water for my dogs. And when I showed back up 45 minutes later convinced I'd left my phone there, one of the employees let me use his phone to call it. Great sandwiches! My 2-year old, wife, and I love this place. The grilled cheese and PB&J sandwiches are great for kids (the latter is made with cheese and is delicious). My favorite sandwich so far is the Dago, but everything is done so well that I advise swapping half sandwiches with your dining partner so you can try more. Great place, great food, excellant service. My girlfriend loves cheese. So I figured we go to the cheese ranch for a Sunday brunch date. Rich gave use grade A service. Not only was he super friendly but he has a thorough knowledge of cheese. He made us a sample plate of cheese and meat. Witch was all so very good. Upon picking what two cheese we would buy, he then suggested two of the best sandwiches to use. They where great. After all said and done the girlfriend and I left full and very happy. Unfortunately I was underwhelmed with the sandwich selection & taste, for a place with Deli in it's title I'd expect more sandwich options & meat types. Golden is really lacking in the food department & I was really hoping this would be a home run. My desire to return is low. However, I will be return to check out their cheese selection, although we typically do our grocery shopping on Sunday & this place is closed on Sunday so we've yet to cheese shop here. I hope this place plans to expand their menu & include more diverse sides other than seasonal fruit & plain lays chips. I suggest trying to be more like Salt & Grinder in the Highlands. As this place is now, I fear it won't last long. read more
