We stopped by this little cheese shop after a quick search on Yelp on our way to Evergreen for Thanksgiving. Since the family is Celiac and we're not, we needed a little glutenous snack before the gluten-free holiday. This spot is located in an unassuming shopping center next to a few specialty shops and a Burger King. We went in and there was a line of people waiting to pick up their cheese boards for the next day. We checked out the menu as we waited, watching the beautiful boards come out one after the other and deciding if we should just order a board to take with us. We went with the Bay of Pigs - their Cubano style sandwich with a side of the southwestern pasta salad. After grabbing a table and drooling over more of the gorgeous cheese trays that walked out, they brought our sandwich over to us. While small, it was still generously stuffed with perfectly slow roasted pork, ham, spicy mustard, pickles, cheese and an interesting addition of cabbage that gave it a fun crunch. The southwestern pasta salad was SPICY and studded with small bits of cheese. We inquired about the boards which ranged from $13 - $150, and learned they average about $10/head. Since we needed to get up the hill, we decided to stop by another time to grab one for a future holiday since they offer gluten-free options. Super friendly and quick staff, delicious food, and just a cute atmosphere overall.

The best spot for lunch and dinner ! I came in to this cute deli and shop around 3pm on a Wednesday and the service was great. The awesome cashier recommended several sandwiches and I ended up ordering the Yeehaw sandwich and best decision ever ! It was soooo good. I got it with their potato salad ... best in town! This is , NOW, my go-to lunch spot when I'm in Golden

Stopped by here for Wisconsin Brick Cheese and of course I ended up going home with an assortment of goodies. Margo, Natalie and Carrie (plus one other person who I missed her name) were so helpful and knowledgeable, it was such a great overall experience. This place is a haven of many specialty items where a lot were local CO (yippie!). The layout and energy were fun and exciting. Here are the deets on the goods I got. Pickled products were from Boulder. I was able to sample the pickled garlic in the store and loved it. The pickled Brussel sprouts were recommended so I couldn't leave without getting them too. My favorite of the 3 pickled items I went home with was the Jalepeno and honey pickles. Such a divine flavor! The fig fruit spread and honey were fabulous as well. I went with the whipped honey and chokecherry from Durango,CO which was super delicious (what is chokeberry anyway?). They had many other flavors to choose from. I thought my mom would like the fig orange fruit spread more, but the honey was the winner. Prosciutto and speck. Both very yum. I learned from Natalie that the difference between the two is that the former is cured where salt and pepper are used and the latter is smoked where salt and bay leaf are used. Got some havarti cheese as well, but this one wasn't our fav havarti since it was a bit drier with less flavor). Finally, I had to try a sandwich. I got the prime rib sandwich to go (PRC ? for Prime Rib Cheddar?). Oh my gosh, such great mix of flavors and textures with delicious cheddar cheese. I really enjoyed it on their multi-grain bread (vs their standard sourdough for this sandwich, only cause I am not a sourdough bread fan). When I got home I cut up the sandwich in small pieces like petite fours; bunched up a couple of pieces of the hams in piles; placed the pickled items in separate small dishes; and folded the havarti four-wise and made a stack of it. The fruit spread and whipped honey were spread on pieces of sea salt crackers. All on a wooden board like a charcuterie. What a really special Cheese Ranch dinner. Mmmm. Everything was pretty amazing.

Really had a bad experience. The food seemed decent, but portions small and overpriced. Very pushy and rude.

Coming from an Italian family, I am well versed in Italian sandwiches. Carmine Lornardo's the real deal! We ordered the 24" Carmine Italian. Every bite was as good as the last. My dad struck up a conversation with Carmine, who was working behind the counter as he does every day, just as his dad (according to him). We sat down at one of the 4 tables to enjoy our sandwich which was pre split for us. As we were finishing up and the lunch crowd was slowing a bit but was still steady, when Carmine stopped at our table to chat with my dad. He told us an amazing story of how their sausage and pepper sandwich was featured in Food & Wine magazine and how he found Put about it. A true Italian man living in his owned world, he was not familiar with the magazine. But that put them on the food seen. He then brought my dad his famous sausage and pepper sandwich, on the house! We came back later that week and ordered pasta with sausage and sauce for dinner which he provided as part of their dinner to go series. If I lived closer, I would never be cooking, I would just be at Carmine's for lunch and dinner! Don't sleep on this authentic Italian restaurant with old world charm.

We were on our way up to red rock and wanted to grab some lunch for the tailgate. We ordered the French dip and the special #5 cutlet sandwich as well as Mac salad and black and white cookie. The sandwiches are expensive but big. The French dip was $13.99 and the special was $18.99 for an 8in. Our meal ended up being around $60 for two sandwiches, a Mac salad, chips and two pastries. The mac salad was very good and tasty but the sandwiches were a total disappointment. The French dip lacked ANY flavor even a bit of salt would've gone a long way. When we dipped it in the au jus, it still lacked any flavor. We ended up only taking a few bites then tossing it and moving onto the #5. Both sandwiches were incredibly soggy and we maybe ate them 20 minutes after getting them. Taste was decent with the cutlet sandwich but oh my heartburn. We both had heartburn the entire duration of the concert. Just a disappointing experience after spending so much money.

The prime rib was for my birthday dinner so my husband left his phone number with them. He received a call later that day asking if the prime rib should be fresh or frozen. They wanted to make sure it did not get frozen if it was being used right away. He advised fresh and commented at what good customer service it was to make the distinction. We went together for pick up. The person who helped us when through the entire smoker bundle to show us the contents and then got the rib roast. Everything was well packaged and arranged. Even though it was the Friday before a religious holiday, and many folks were picking things up, it did not take long for us to get our order, pay and be on our way. The meats we have received both on this order and in the past have always been high quality. Edwards is an excellent butcher shop.
