I was in the hunt for sushi grade salmon and found it at Seafood Landing. The staff is very healthful in recommending different salmon options and informed me that if you arrive early they typically have containers of chopped up sushi grade tuna and salmon. I got a 15oz container of sushi grade salmon for poke bowls and hand rolls. It was delicious and lasted me two meals. I will definitely be back to try the tuna. read more

Incredibly fresh seafood! The husband and I went here to get whole red snapper, as there are very few places where you actually find whole red snapper. We were told people Are afraid to see whole fish in the case... We paid dearly for these beloved fish, but it was worth every penny. This place has been on my list ever since I moved to Denver! Finally made it over there and it will be my new spot for grabbing seafood. Clean and neat. As soon as I walked in I was greeted and I asked about making sashimi and got the run down on what they offer! Ended up grabbing A few blocks of Tuna, Yellowtail, and eel. I've had Seafood Landing on my list of places to check out since moving into the highlands last year. And my husband and I finally made it happen in search of sushi grade fish. We came in looking for sushi grade tuna and left with sushi grade salmon (to save a few dollars). We were quickly greeted by one of the employees who talked to us about the 3 ways fish can be considered "grade A or sushi grade." I really appreciated his quick greeting and the knowledge! While we were there several people came in and both employees greeted them as if they were family. One gentleman asked how the customers 2 kids were doing. The fact that he remembered that was awesome and it shows why people keep coming back. Four stars for being in existence in land-locked Denver. Bravo! But when we went in for a peek, the options were limited and prices super high for most items. We definitely prefer wild caught seafood vs farmed and they had both here. Live lobsters, scallops, clams, mussels, an array of seafood specialty items like Old Bay Seasoning, hard shell (eg crab, lobster) eating tools, and even Seafood Landing t-shirts. The other day, I had this notion that I'd very much like to make a batch of keto-friendly clam chowder. If you know anything about the keto diet, it strongly emphasizes the freshest ingredients one can get. So, for the first time in my land-locked life, I began to look for fresh clams. Lucky me, I found this little shop close to me house and popped in on a Saturday afternoon. The store is SO so cute. I love it. It makes me feel like I'm in a little beachside town shopping for my fishies. I don't know what clams cost at Sprouts or Whole Foods, but for enough to make a very hefty batch of chowder it was about $12 and totally worth every single cent. The clams were frozen and I cooked my chowder in the crockpot. The clams came out P E R F E C T. Not too fishy, but enough flavor to make my chowder taste just right. The texture was spot on. When I was in the shop, the counter fellow was very friendly and helpful. My husband is working on our meal plan for this week and we plan on including 2-3 seafood dishes, literally just so we can come back here. It's a must do, guys. A+++ read more

Seafood Landing is not a restaurant, it's a Seafood store. I am a longtime patron and have never been disappointed in any regard. Scottish salmon, Grouper, Cod, Mahi Mahi, Sole, Scallops, live lobsters...you name it they have it. And if they don't, they'll order it for you! The owner, Bruce, and his assistants are friendly and helpful. They will slice the fish off a large fillet just the way you want it. This place and these people are a mainstay of the West Highlands neighborhood. read more

Seafood Landing was incredibly helpful in terms of helping me figure out how many clams I'd need, how best to prep them, and what other types of things I could throw in the steamer. NoLa has a special place in my heart and Seafood Landing sells Camellia brand red beans, cajun spices, as well as Crystal's hot sauce. Those things alone already got my heart racing in a great way. Boy! Was I excited!! I came in on a Tuesday evening and it was not busy at all, there were no one there when I got there and another couple walked in shortly after I was there. The staff was really nice and really helpful. They just started carrying this smoked trout dip that was ah-mazing! I was worried because I have dairy sensitivity and this had smoked trout, capers, lemons, spices, and mayo. I didn't have any issues with it because most mayo only has oil and eggs, but I have been surprised before. I checked with guy who I assumed was the owner and asked about a good pan frying fish that's not salmon nor tuna. He recommended me some cod. I came home, cut the cod smaller to feed 3, sprinkled some flour and pan-fried with some "Slap Yo Mama" white pepper blend of cajun seasoning, a little salt and black pepper. I'm an island girl, originally from Taiwan and lived in Hawaii for many years before moving to Colorado. Boy, I can tell you right now the cod was amazingly fresh. They flown in their seafood from all 3 coasts - Pacific, Atlantic, and Gulf of Mexico, and you can definitely taste it. The cod was fork tender and we ate the smoked trout spread/dip next evening with some crackers and killed it in less than an hour in one sitting. I would say the price is in line with Whole Foods, but I still see Whole Foods having not all fresh products but frozen. It is really hard to not eat frozen in Colorado. But if you get a chance, come to Seafood Landing. Yes, it'll be pricier than your regular seafood from grocery stores. However, the price in my mind is totally worth it. Definitely a nice treat here and there for a seafood lover! read more

This place reminds me of the Fishmongers back home in Maryland, and I have to say Bruce comes as close as it gets in a meat eatin' state like Colorado. We regularly get our fish from him and its always fresh, getting daily shipments of fresh fish. He usually has ginormous prawns (which aren't easy to find), a smattering of different salmon, barramundi, and all the others. Plus, ANYTHING you want Bruce will special order. Oh and Bruce is just such a nice, warm soul to buy fish from, I always look forward to my next visit to Seafood Landing. read more

The new owner has carried the torch from the previous owner, who was awesome. New guy has 2 great things going for him---#1, He is an Eagles FAN! and #2, he has great, fresh fish. I have had his Scottish Salmon, Pacific Salmon, cod, grouper and snapper and all are meticulously great. So glad this place is close by my apt. I decided to make poke bowls and needed sushi grade tuna and salmon. They get delivery of sushi grade fish every morning and they are first come first serve. Came here for the first time last week to get scallops/tuna for the Holiday Week/Weekend. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They advised on how to best care for the fish as we came on Saturday and weren't planning to cook it until Monday. They get there supply in fresh every day! The scallops and tuna we got were delish and not fishy. They are usually not open on Mondays but we later learned that they tend to stay open for special holidays since they have high demand. Pricey of course but I would definitely go back when want a home cooked splurge. read more

Not only is the fish fresh and great quality, the customer service goes over and beyond. I'm traveling and needed fresh fish to maintain the diet I'm on. After discussing this with Jake and the owner, they organized $100 worth of fish into 9 oz plastic bags, labeling each and freezing them for me. Making it easy to travel with. They even gave me some dry ice to insure the fish stay frozen. They know me by name by now I've been there so many times. You need to call ahead to get the steamers and the oysters, but he can get 'em and they are always insanely fresh and delicious. I drive here from Idaho Springs to buy seafood.
