Salad with Corn & Crab Bisque

My experience here today was top tier! I came in at 11am (right when they opened) after an appointment, they sat me and waited on me promptly! I was in and out within 45 minutes. Food was prepared quickly and it was super fresh! My server, Heather, told me she could heat up my soup again if it gets cool since I was focusing on my other dishes! Heather was on top of it today, checked on me a lot to make sure I was doing okay!! This place never misses for me even with delivery services. This place is on my favorites list!! You will not be disappointed!!

The bag my dessert was in

Unprofessional understaffed outrageous wait times my bag had food all over the outside as well as the inside I unfortunately noticed too late ,after the transfer. I was in my car cleaning the mess and an employee questioned me because they are monitoring the parking spaces when I showed her and explained the circumstances she said oh and walked off no offer to help no apology no napkins just unbelievable I do not have words to describe how I felt although at that point I left and I emailed management but no one responded and the cheesecake was not good at all I had the banana foster cheesecake.

There are very few things holding this up as a 2 star. The main star of the show is their Hot crab claws. I've been here many times in the past and that one was always my favorite. They were still amazing but portion sizes have decreased concerning how much crab claws. Their drinks were nice. My server was very friendly and welcoming. Everything else is a hit or miss. The ambiance itself was just okay. They leave out their weekend buffet supplies all week long just taking up dining space, and overall ruining their aesthetic. Their crab and crawfish bake appetizer is 80% cheese and 20% filling. Not worth the money and way too greasy. Both the entrees were deeply under-seasoned. The steak was very pink on one side and unevenly cooked on the other side. A bug fell from their ceiling into the shrimp and crab cake Alfredo. The manager took a long time to come out and address the situation. Then I was promised OVER half off and the receipt showed a different story. It would be a valid conclusion to question the cleanliness here. I used to frequent here and enjoy it, so I was disappointed with this experience.

    Restaurant week- strawberry parfait?

My first time here and it was good experience all around. Came in during restaurant week and was seated immediately. Started off with a recommendation from our waitress which was a frozen strawberry lemonade. So good! We ordered the artichoke dip, chicken Parmesan, shrimp pasta, Mardi Gras bread pudding and strawberry cheesecake parfait. The appetizer was amazing. The entrees were so much food we had leftovers and it all came out hot. Our server was so sweet and really helpful. It was nice and clean and a really pretty environment. The only thing we wished was that the dessert was better. The bread pudding barely had any sauce and the cheesecake parfait was small and underwhelming.

This is my second time at this location (I miss the one in New Orleans)! My niece and I were out celebrating our birthdays and Mia was ABSOLUTELY amazing. Sooooo attentive, smiling and great energy. I absolutely love the spinach, the penthouse salad, and the spinach dip! This is a cute location. My niece and I definitely felt like it was a vibe for us!

AMAZING!!!! We went for date night on Valentine's Day and this sealed the night. I'm a Copeland's girl so we wanted to try them out. They had a 45 minute wait but we didn't have to wait the full 45 minutes. The food was excellent and the service was great! I'm so glad we decided to try them out. This might be one of my new favorite spots!

My friend and I wanted to stop just to eat dessert. It turned into entrees and dessert. I ordered BBQ Chicken Monty Grilled chicken breast, bbq au jus, monterey jack cheese and diced bacon. Served with red hot potatoes and grilled squash succotash. I was pleasantly surprised by my dish due to the fact, that I don't order chicken when I go out to eat and squash isn't a go to item for me. I actually enjoyed both. I did add a side of broccoli only as a back up. It was yummy my food was tasty. My friend ordered her a fried crab cakes, Maryland style crabcakes, panko crusted and lightly fried served with Copeland's signature sauce. She enjoyed it. We shared a Carmel cheese cake. It was delicious. Our server greeted us in a timely manner and she was very kind. The atmosphere was nice and relaxing. It was my first time eating here and I definitely would go back.

Wonderful food, great service, clean and charming atmosphere! The crawfish ravioli was amazing, and the cocktails spectacular. Chicken and waffles were pretty good too.

We found Parrain's Seafood while searching for authentic Louisiana food and a good po'boy/seafood…read morespot before making our drive back home to Houston. We were in Baton Rouge helping our grandson move into his dorm as an incoming freshman at LSU, and Parrain's kept coming up in our searches and reviews. We decided to give it a try, and I'm SO glad we did! We visited on a Sunday afternoon around 2:30 p.m., and when I tell you EVERYBODY and their family was there... I mean everybody! The parking lot was packed. There is plenty of parking, but there were so many people that we still had to hunt for a spot. Thankfully, we found one under a shade tree because it was HOT! When we walked up, we fully expected a long wait. There is plenty of outdoor seating for people waiting, and I also noticed they have both steps and an accessibility ramp leading to the entrance. My daughter and I sat down while my husband stood in line to put our name on the list. About five minutes later, he was waving for us to come inside! Apparently, many of the people waiting were large groups and families coming from church, but since there were only three of us, they were able to seat us almost immediately. HUGE plus! Once inside, it was BUSY, BUSY, BUSY. It took our server a little while to initially get to us, but considering how packed the restaurant was, it really wasn't bad at all. Our waitress was very nice, and I was actually impressed with how quickly our food came out. Now let's talk about the FOOD!! We first ordered the onion rings for an appetizer... super delicious I ordered the fried shrimp platter, and those shrimp were fried to PERFECTION! Crispy, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. The meal also came with salad, fries, hush puppies, and a side. The hush puppies were SO GOOD! They are shaped almost like little donut holes... crispy on the outside and soft and savory on the inside. Delicious! For my side, I chose the fresh green beans instead of the dirty rice. Unfortunately, those were the one thing I didn't enjoy. They didn't have much flavor to me and seemed a little undercooked. Next time, I'll definitely choose another side. My husband ordered the fried catfish platter with dirty rice, coleslaw, and fries, and he loved everything. I tasted his coleslaw, and OH MY GOODNESS! Get the coleslaw! It was different from any coleslaw I've had before. It has whole peanuts in it, which sounds unusual, but somehow it WORKS! The peanuts add this wonderful crunch and flavor. It was SO good. And the French fries!! I've never seen fries cut this way before. They're almost shaped like little Scoop Fritos, with a crispy outside and soft potato inside. So unique and really good! My daughter ordered the catfish strips and fries from the kids' menu. These weren't processed little nuggets... they were actual pieces of catfish cut into strips, and she really enjoyed them. She also ordered the crab fingers, and those were another 10/10! They were incredibly well-seasoned with a little spice and tons of flavor. I tasted one and wanted MORE! I'm watching my sodium intake, so I behaved myself, but they were absolutely delicious. Overall, Parrain's was a 10/10 for us. The only thing I wouldn't personally order again would be the green beans. Everything else, from the shrimp and catfish to those amazing hush puppies, unique fries, crab fingers, and especially that coleslaw, was DELICIOUS. Yes, it was crowded and lively, but we still received really good service and didn't have to wait nearly as long as we expected. With our grandson now attending LSU, we'll be making plenty of trips back to Baton Rouge, and Parrain's has officially made our list of places we will be visiting again!

They are WELL known for their chargrilled oysters and have a great happy hour. Their Andouille Crusted Fresh Fish is one of the best bites in Baton Rouge hands down. Their parking lot situation is a mess; WAY too small, and the entrance is close to another business' entrance which can be confusing. Great service, little loud though. It's a small complaint, but restaurants that let used drink glasses pile up on the table is a little annoying.

When did dirt become "seasoning." Unless y'all have invented invisible Cajun dirt seasoning. Customers do not expect to purchase filthy, dirty, cold, crabs from a company hailing an 'outstanding, legendary reputation as a top-tier local institution, highly praised for its exceptionally fresh Gulf catch and serving quality food.' When returning the crabs for a refund, the lady giving the refund trying to convince my husband to keep them dirty cold things said, "We sell crabs at room temperature. We don't sell hot crabs." Ya'll the receipt clearly says, "HOT CRABS." Did she not realize the infraction she admitted! She basically confirmed they commit food violations, not keeping food at proper temperature!! How about that? He told her to refund our money back. Cleanliness and proper food temperature matter and this is not the first time I have returned dirty, cold, CRABS, back for a refund. Your hot food portions also have shrunk considerably yet your prices had increased tremendously. People are paying more for less. Tony's, this horrible economy does not support greed, especially dirty greed especially where improper food handling or poor food prep can lead to food borne illnesses. Louisiana Crawfish Company "instruct to physically rinse mud and marsh grit off blue crabs before they hit the boiling pot." As the song say, "You better shop around." They didn't have a nut cracker or anything, so I guess that crab leg was decorative? I ordered a house salad, and by dictionary definition I guess it was a salad. It had three ingredients: wilted iceberg lettuce, croutons, and a couple of fridge-aged cherry tomatoes of the flavorless variety. Bet the profit margin on that salad is HUGE!
