LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!!!!!!! This place is amazing and left me speechless!! The hot boiled crawfish is very good and the mozzarella sticks and loaded fries are to die for!!! Nothing but great things to say about this place!! I will drive an hour from home to go eat here! Super delicious and great service and vibes!!!!

Went there last night with my friend and we got there late, however, we were able to get a table and great service. We both ordered crawfish and it was very good if a bit spicy. Our waitress checked on us often as well as other staff members and they were all very hospitable. It was not that busy but it was a Tuesday evening. I would go back and plan to.

Y'all put some addictive substances in your crawfish boil. I literally could not stop eating all four pounds of these lil critters. Super well-seasoned, not too salty. I also had a bite of my brother's catfish étouffée and it way tasted better than Parrain's. Came here on Mother's Day and around church hours. Bring an apron, cuz that crawfish juice might stain your Sunday dress. Chill atmosphere. Restaurant was kind of musky smelling with the humidity and seafood. Nothing fancy.

We stopped in on a cross country roadtrip and had the shrimp boil because we were too earlier for crawfish. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will definitely be back! Check out the video of that trip (and our time in Sammys) here: https://youtu.be/Te0RXsPrYms

Ordered 6 lbs of crawfish on a relatively calm Thursday night and received barely 5 lbs. Found out that they do not offer corn and potato's with their crawfish when through takeout (do for dining in) which seems somewhat greedy. Taste wise- pretty solid, definitely on the spicier side if you enjoy that.

We were just driving through Baton Rouge and decided to stop and eat dinner here. The entrance is a little confusing. We entered using the bar entrance and not the main dining room area. But a waitress helped us figure it out and we ordered. I ordered the Cajun burger and my mom ordered the blacked catfish. Both were very good and my burger was cooked very well. Our waiter was very good and checked in multiple times to make sure we were doing ok. I would come back again.

The service was great. We came in yesterday for Mother's Day. We had a semi large party and it didn't take long for us to be seated. The waitress was great. I didn't know that cracklings came on the salad that was different. I don't it I just gave it my auntie and cousin. The pepper jelly vinaigrette was amazing I need an entire bottle of it. My catfish was really good my crawfish étouffée was bland but overall it was good.

Came to participate in Restaurant Week and we were truly disappointed. To start, came in as a party of 4, 2 ordered from the restaurant week menu.. We received our two main entrees before the appetizers, then once we received the appetizers, the Pepperjack boudin eggrolls (plural on the menu) came with ONE egg roll.. the Sugar cane shrimp came with TWO shrimp.. Our two main entrees came out cold, overcooked and were finished before the restaurant week entrees were put on the table. Our server blamed the kitchen but once speaking with the manager we were told that the server forgot to ring in half of the order.. Poboy bread was so smushed and soggy it was inedible. The restaurant wasn't even at full capacity, so this was just a very unenjoyable experience for us.

Came here to dine since we haven't been in a while since closing and reopening under new management. We order appetizers which was good. My daughter enjoyed her chicken club sandwich. I ordered the crawfish they were a nice size but way to spicy and salty for my liking. They overdid it with the seasoning. Hope they cut back on the salt next time. I will visit again.

    one dozen garlic butter oysters

I came on a Saturday night excited to try Sammy's crawfish. Unfortunately I came too late because they didn't have any available at 9 PM (they close at 11). I decided to try the dozen garlic oysters for $20 instead. The oysters were smaller than other places I've tried, but I was still pretty pleased with my meal! The toast pairs perfectly with the oysters and they do not skimp out on the garlic butter!!! I haven't seen oysters given without the shell at a restaurant before, so that was pretty interesting. I want to come back to try their crawfish and other deals!!

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with stellar customer service that set the tone for our entire experience. Our waiter, Justice, was truly delightful. It was an absolute pleasure being served by him. He was incredibly friendly, patient and attentive, especially with our party of 14, which included children. His attention to detail and welcoming demeanor stood out, and his positive energy elevated our experience. Justice went above and beyond, and his efforts did not go unnoticed! The entire staff working on Saturday, April 4 was top notch. Everyone we encountered was warm, helpful and professional. From the food and drinks to the atmosphere and overall service, everything exceeded our expectations. I can say this was a 5 Star Brunch experience. I will definitely be returning the next time I'm in Louisiana!

We specifically found this restaurant because we searched online for gluten free restaurants, so we were excited to see that you offered a separate gluten free menu. However, there are some serious issues with the accuracy of that menu that need to be addressed. When we asked about the pork rinds brought to the table, we were told they are fried in the same oil as everything else. That in itself is your choice as a restaurant, and we understand cross contamination can happen. We were also told the french fries are cooked in beef tallow in a separate fryer, but they are not considered gluten free, which is why they are not listed on the gluten free menu. Again, that is completely understandable. What is not acceptable is having items listed on the gluten free menu that are not actually gluten free due to cross contamination. The pork rinds and cheddar filled tater tots were both listed on the gluten free menu despite being fried in shared oil with gluten containing foods. For someone with celiac disease, this is not a small mistake or a dietary preference issue. My husband has celiac disease, and if he had eaten the pork rinds based on trusting the gluten free menu, he could have become extremely ill and potentially needed hospital care. Our daughter has gluten sensitivity, and she would have been sick for the rest of the night as well. Many people still treat gluten free as if it is just a fad diet, but for people with celiac disease, it is a serious autoimmune condition that causes real physical harm. To the OWNER: please educate your staff and kitchen on what gluten free truly means, and update the menu so customers can trust it. People with celiac disease should not have to risk getting sick because menu items are mislabeled.

I went for the lunch buffet for $13.99 and feel like the BR location def has more options than the NOLA location (I haven't been to that spot in over a year though). There are some seafood options during lunch (salt and pepper crab, salmon, assortment of fish, and mussels) but if you want a wider variety, dinner is the way to go. I didn't try the sushi because the majority of them were always wiped out but the chefs in the back were doing their best to replenish whenever they could. Nothing to extraordinary with the sushi, I feel like you could get most of em at the grocery store. My favs at lunch were hands down the salmon and the baked mussels w cheese on top. The salmon was SEASONED SO WELL and I just kept going back for more. The mussels and cheese was def a hit too bc I could see the chefs restock every so often. There's unlimited boba (not included in the buffet) and I had the mango, which tasted watered down to me. The ice cream was amazing, got a mix of the taro and mango. The cakes were extremely dry and the mousse was the only thing saving it from totally crumbling in my mouth. For the most part, the food was piping hot, but there were a few options that were cold when I ate them, hence the 4 stars. The staff were incredibly sweet and would clean tables immediately after someone would leave.

The decor screams pure Americana and is one of the biggest draws for the many patrons that come through daily. My favorite part is their juicy burgers. Pair it with their crispy fries and their old school milkshakes, and one has a complete meal. The burgers are hearty, and the portions are substantial. They also have salads, other sandwiches (tuna is my go-to), and various options for loaded fries. The other awesome part are the prices. Minus the double cheeseburger, there are no items that exceed $10 on the entire menu. The staff is young and always enthusiastic, and they play a big part in making this place such a destination.
