Friday 11/1/2024 I had originally found this spot through instagram and I think it had something to do with them having the best cheesesteaks so I had to find out for myself. I made a takeout order through their website and got bulgogi $14.49, soy & garlic Korean fried chicken (half chicken) $17, small sweet & spicy D.G.J (dak gang jeong) $9, and the famous Philly cheesesteak $9.49. - the bulgogi is a rather expensive plate that comes with rice, green beans, bulgogi, and more. The bulgogi meat was pretty underwhelming but the meal itself was okay. - The soy & garlic Korean fried chicken was solid but it didn't do much for me as I've had better for about the same price. - The famous Philly cheesesteak was smaller than I expected and it was just alright (not best cheesesteak worthy). - The small sweet & spicy D.G.J is pretty much fried chicken bites with a sweet sauce. It was significantly smaller than what I expected from a $9 (which is very expensive) but it was alright. Overall, the food was alright/decent but I do think that they are tripping with the prices ($55.63 total is pretty crazy). The prices are too much based on the taste & portions of the food. It's a cool spot but I can't see myself coming back in the future.

The best cheesesteaks and korean fried chicken in the area!! The beef cheesesteak is sooo delicious. The korean fried soy garlic chicken is crispy, flavorful and perfect! The sweet and spicy chicken was also incredible. I can't wait to try more of their menu items!!

Had very ok service with very ok rice cakes. My friend had the cheesesteak which he loved but as far as the service vibes and rice cakes it was super ok. Not sure if I'd stop again but nothing particularly wrong with the place, rice cakes were just overcooked and hard.

I decided to stop by the carryout after driving past it several times. This is an Asian carryout. There is a bar on the side of the carryout, but I didn't go. I ordered a chicken cheesesteak with boardwalk fries. I ate the fries on the way home. Both were really good. The customer service was good. I had to wait a minute to get my food. The carryout part is small inside. It was clean inside. There is no inside or outside seating.

If very fitting that the best cheese steaks in the DMV would be right here in Silver Spring, MD. It's as if NYC's chopped cheese and Philly's cheese steaks had a baby! The lettuce, tomato, mayo and hot peppers included is the ultimate combination! It doesn't leave you feeling disgusted with yourself after. Not to mention it's under $10??! It's run by the sweetest Korean family with many Korean options to choose from. Get your KFC (Korean fried chicken) fix here! Along with bulgogi, galbi, katsu and much more. We got the boneless chicken bites to share and they were 10/10! (This sounds like an ad but I promise you it's not lol it was just really good) Make sure to head to the back! There's a hidden pub that many might miss if you over look it. There's plenty of seating at the bar or at the tables. We also had some soju + beer that came with these cute glasses that tells the alcohol percentage. Honestly just great vibes all together, service was amazing and would definitely be back! Also a huge bonus that it's right off the 495 and a mile from the 95!

I recently visited a Korean takeout spot, and it was an amazing experience. They offer a delicious Bulgogi cheesecake that I've never had elsewhere, and their Korean wings are simply amazing! This is a hidden gem in my opinion. Highly recommended! Side note: They have a pub in the back but I have never been, but pretty sure if you want to eat there or have a beer that's where you can go since the front does not offer seats

Very good cheesesteaks from this spot. The Steak was moist and flavorful and the toppings didn't take up too much of the sandwich. They even offer Cheez Whiz as an option for the cheese you want so your friend visiting from Philly can shut up for once lol . Very good customer service as well . You will enjoy eating at this spot so give this place a check out.

Pretty cool... a place for my husband AND me. He says his cheese steak is just ok. The restaurant side is small and they don't have high chair for kids but I guess that's expected for a pub.

I've eaten at Cheesesteak Mike's a bunch of times over the past six years, I've had the sandwiches and fries and they're delicious! Though after a trip to South Korea a few years ago, I crave Korean food very often. I usually head to Rockville for my fix but I love trying different places. Tonight we tried the bulgogi, dumplings and Korean Fried Chicken from Cheesesteak Mike's. The dumplings can either be fried or steamed. I got the steamed version and they were perfect with a little dipping sauce. The bulgogi was a generous portion of flavorful beef on rice. The egg was 99 cents extra, but well worth it. The bulgogi comes with kimchi, a few fried cubes of tofu, and a portion of green beans and mushrooms in a spicy sauce. I ate a few pieces of the fried chicken and it was perfectly sauced and delicious! For the price, you really can't beat this place. Bottom Line: I'll be back for the Korean food at this place!

Service sucked. Cheesesteak was average. Too salty. Wedges and onion rings from a frozen bag of course and overpriced. No need to go back.

Is there inside seating?

There is but it's a small little place. Cozy though, it's like a mini bar with a few booths and a table or 2

Both were excellent and packed with flavor. The real test for me was the drive home. I live about 40 minutes away, so I didn't get to eat my sandwich right away. To my surprise, it was still warm when I got home and just as good as if I had eaten it there. That's not something you can say about most sandwiches. The fries were a pleasant surprise as well. Crispy, flavorful, and addicting enough that they barely survived the ride home. Beyond the food, I really enjoyed the shop itself. There was a great selection of specialty meats, seasonings, sauces, and unique items that made me want to take my time and look around. The place was packed, which is usually a good sign, and after trying the food, I completely understand why. It's not often that a first visit lives up to the hype, but this one did. Great food, a well-curated shop, and absolutely worth the drive. Looking forward to coming back and trying more of the menu.

And the cheesesteak was soo rich and decadent. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. The fries were also awesome. We were able to sit outside on the small benches and eat our sandwiches there. However, there is really not much seating. I think most people take their food to go.

My group of 5 enjoyed a variety of their drinks and dishes, sharing 3 appetizers, enjoying 5 entrees, and indulging in two of their desserts. I started off with an alcoholic Mai Thai. Food wise, I had their grilled oysters, brussel Cesar, fried chicken curry dish, trifle dessert, and sorbet. As a non-seafood person, it was a big deal for me to try their oysters. I started slow with just their grilled oysters. They were drowning in garlic and butter, so it was hard not to like. The Brussel cesar was also a solid shareable. I appreciated that the salad did not come drenched in dressing. The curry friend chicken was phenomenal! The chicken fell of the bone so easily and was so crispy, moist, and overall outstanding. The curry and impossible rice paired perfectly with it. Finally, the desserts! I could have eaten two of the trifle dessert...it was smooth, creamy, and the perfect amount of sweet. It was everyone's favorite between the two. The sorbet was good, but I found the white chocolate a little weird/awkward since it was sitting around a bunch of cold sorbet...didn't melt or mesh well with the dish. It wasn't bad, but I'd try something else next time. Overall, I loved this place. The vibes, staff, and food were amazing. I can't wait to introduce more friends to this gem.

The décor leans more classic and strait-laced, but in a warm, comfortable. Service is typically solid, and when they have a live jazz band performing? That's an added bonus that elevates the whole experience. And with their frequent diner program, you can rack up points on your visits and redeem them later for dollars off your bill, which makes an already good meal feel even better. My Go-To's: Spinach & Artichoke Dip One of the best around. It's always cooked just right, never underdone, never burnt. Great flavor and perfectly creamy. And yes, I'm the one mixing it up with salsa and sour cream for an extra flavor kick. Fiesta Eggrolls A flavorful favorite. Rotisserie Chicken Salad Think Tex-Mex salad loaded with all the good stuff. I love, mixing the BBQ sauce with the chipotle blue cheese dressing, it's the perfect sweet-smoky combo. It used to come with cornbread croutons (which were such a nice sweet touch), so now I just order a slice of their delicious cornbread on the side. Chicken Pot Pie Comfort food done right. Rattlesnake Pasta It almost gives Rasta Pasta vibes, but without the heat. Creamy, flavorful, and filling. Barbecue Ribs Tender, saucy, and satisfying. Key Lime Pie One of the best. And the fact that they sell it whole? Dangerous! Pineapple Upside Down Cake My new favorite. Nice and moist and comes à la mode. Don't just take my word for it. I stopped by this location in Silver Spring - it's located inside the Whole Foods - before a movie last week. Since it was my first time at PLNT, I ordered something traditional - the PLNT Cheeseburger (plant-based patty, caramelized onion, pickles, plant-based American cheese, green leaf lettuce, roma tomato, PLNT sauce, and potato bun). As a very failed former vegan (10 years as a vegetarian and vegan in my late teens to twenties), I was most worried about the vegan cheese (I remember having some pretty awful vegan cheeses in those days). The cheese was fine actually. The burger itself is okay; it kind of tastes like TVP (textured vegetable protein), a little dry, not too flavorful. But my real issue with the burger was its assembly - it was so covered in sauce and gooey cheese that the bun was sliding off before I even tried to pick it up. It was one of the messiest things I've ever tried to eat. And that's what I'll remember about my first PLNT Burger experience - not the flavor, but definitely the messiness of it. It was fast, which is great if you need a quick meal. And since it's in the food court area of Whole Foods, you can also grab other things while you're waiting for your meal or after. If you're vegan or vegetarian, this PLNT Burger might be a godsend and you might love it! Too messy for me!
