Made NYE reservations for 4 of us. We had high hopes based on the pictures we had seen and menu. The inside ambience is great, not too loud or bright. However the table we were at was wobbly. We also were sat at a table for 6 and had two extra chairs, which was awkward. To start they were out of a few popular beers and we asked to also split a bottle of Prosecco, which they told us they did not have any cold bottles. I had a signature martini, which either didn't have any alcohol or barely any in it. For appetizers we split an order of the Juan's Queso, which was more of a bean dip with cheese melted on top. We also had the Bleu Cheese Chips, which was the best item of the night. For dinner I had the boneless beef short ribs with Charred jalapeño au gratin potatoes, crispy brussels sprouts, best thing on the plate was the potatoes, then the Brussels, they were good but not much flavor. The boneless ribs were okay, the flavor was odd. My boyfriend and our friend had the Chicken Fried Steak, not much meat in there mostly breading. He also had an old fashion, that compared to other tables who had ordered it, there was not much in the glass. Our other friend had the shrimp and grits, bacon was barely cooked and the grits were dry. Our check between two of us, 1 appetizer, two martinis, 1 old fashion, a F5 beer, chicken fried steak and boneless beef ribs was $150 before tip. I could think of other places I would rather spend that kind of money to eat at. Update: come to find out both people who ordered the chicken fried steak, were sick the next day. read more

Lovely restaurant and food was very good. Parking is difficult which keeps me from going more often.

Chicken breast and ribeye and the pecan icecream ball. This place was a 10/10, just incredible. Everything we ate and drank was 10/10. Atmosphere was great, our bartenders Julian and Jacob made our experience even better. Very high quality customer service. My chicken was delicious and the Brussels sprouts were so yummy. We got the blue cheese chips which were to die for!!! So good and definitely a surprise in both flavor and presentation. We also had the chicken fried steak with the jalapeño gravy - the portion size was so big I had lunch the next day. The chicken strudel was good but compared our other dishes- I was out ordered. Our server - Kevin - was attentive and helpful with drink and menu suggestions. We took our dessert home - carrot cake - it was some of the best I've had in Tulsa!!! read more

My wife and I went for an early dinner. She got the crab cake. It was large with plenty of lump crab and broiled not fried. I got the shrimp and grits which was the best I have ever had. Both dishes had red pepper as an ingredient but it was very subtle. The flavors and presentation were excellent. For desert we got the "mini" Roasted Pecan Ice Cream Ball. It was not mini rather the size of a softball. it was wonderful. Our server was the best. read more

Made reservations for our 35th wedding anniversary and was it a mistake. We arrived and gave them my name and we were sat at the smallest table in the place. It was so damn that we could not but our plates and bread basket on it at the same time, had to put the bread basket on a ledge next to the table. The restaurant was probably 20% full and there was literally 12 tables open and we're still open when we left Our waitress was also the bartender so we were not her first concern and our service was slow. When ever the waiter serviced the table next to us I got a good look at his butt that was about 12" from my face. When our food arrived my steak was way over cooked and my potatoes were cold. Half way through our meal I get a text an d phone call from the restaurant telling me our table was ready. This place is a joke. They did figure out what was going on and offered us a dessert but the meal and celebratory mood was ruined. Paid our bill and will never return. read more

I dined at the OKC Cheevers years ago, and it was a nice experience. So, I was excited to try the Tulsa location, but the food and service was one of my worst experiences at a restaurant. The server didn't want to be there because she was working on her day off. So, she kept messing up our order. We requested a lemonade without ice and a diet coke. She brought up a lemonade with ice, and regular coke. This wouldn't be a problem if it only happened once. But, happened on our refills as well. All of the items ordered were awful. The potato soup, chicken sandwich and fries were cold( chicken sandwich was very salty and extremely greasy). The burger was so salty that was unedible so that was the only item that was sent back. Instead of getting another burger we requested the chicken tortilla soup and a side of potato au gratin. They brought us grits instead of the au gratin which was super greasy. They eventually brought us the au gratin. Overall, the only item that was good were the rolls. I'm so disappointed in this experience. It's sad that both service and food was awful. I received a response from management to contact them via email, so I sent them an email over 3 weeks ago, but they didn't respond. read more

This was our 2nd visit to Cheevers but the 1st time for lunch. Dinner the first time was okay but this time was just overall not impressive. After we sat down we ordered pretty quickly. Our initial server was nice but told all his tables he was leaving due to a headache. He said we'd be in good hands but then everything went downhill from there. We received another tables food on accident. We didn't touch it so they took it off the table. We then got our queso which was more like a queso fundido? Not a dip more of a melted cheese that you can't use chips to dip with which is what it's served with. It may have helped if the dish was hot but it was just warm. We then received our entrees but everything was brought out one by one. (We ordered 2 entrees and 3 cups of soup and each cup and plate was brought by itself in 5 individual trips) I split the prime rib sandwhich with my mom and it was supposed to have horseradish on it and it didn't at all. The middle was also cold. Very strange. We also received someone else's martinis. The new server never came back to check on us after we received food but if they had it probably could've been improved right away. Instead we just ate our barely warm meals. Our prime rib sandwhich was taken off which I normally never let comp a meal but I'm glad in this case because this meal was not worth $100 unfortunately. The soups were great though! read more

Very good food and good service! The dining room is so pretty, but not too fancy, modern with warmth. Long bar with good liquor selections, craft cocktails and beer. We shared the chopped salad, he had the filet and I ordered the roasted chicken and both were delicious! Scalloped potatoes w jalapeño, cheese grits w jalapeño (both had a nice balance of spice), and Brussel sprouts were delicious! Our server was professional, but slow to the table. Another server greeted us instead and put in our first course which was appreciated! We will be back and recommend Cheever's to our friends and family! read more

Love Cheever's OKC. Tulsa has some work to do. Chicken fried steak was cold. And the grits were so dry they weren't edible. And I've seen more people say this about the grits. So I can't understand why they haven't fixed this. Makes me think nobody really cares about the quality. Hope I'm wrong. I want to see it succeed. Went to cheevers tonight. Food and service was 10/10. Husband got ribeye. Cooked med rare. Only complaint on it was peppercorn sauce is not a gravy, it's a jelly. I got the molasses chicken breast. They were perfect and the grits and Brussel sprouts were chefs kiss. DESSERT WAS AMAZING! The fried pecan ice cream I would eat out of a dumpster. So good. Went for lunch. First the interior is very nice. Our waitress was very nice and just the right amount of attention. I ordered the burger and was told it was a double but like a smash burger. It was not at all like a smash burger. It was 2 quite thick patties. It tasted fine but was not what I was expecting and the fries were possibly from the night before. So I was disappointed. The person with me got a salad and it was good. She also got a dessert. An ice cream ball covered in toasted pecans and chocolate. It was huge and delicious. I've been to the Cheever's in OKC several times and I think the Tulsa location is nicer but not necessarily the food. I'll go back and try something different next time and hope for the best. read more

Beautiful interior but they need to find a bartender that knows how to make a cocktail, had to send two cocktails back finally switched to wine and the poor was incredibly disappointing. Ordered a salad with salmon on top. Had to send it back twice because the salmon was so raw. We'll give it another try but was disappointed for our first visit. read more

Food was great, hospitality was concerning. We weren't welcomed very nicely. The hosts were both on their phones and acted annoyed that we walked in close to opening time. A friend and I visited Cheever's for brunch on a Saturday am, and I couldn't have been more impressed. The atmosphere is up scale casual, tasteful and cozy. The service was 5 star even though the place was packed with a full waiting room. Our waitress, Sherry, seemed to anticipate our every need without hovering and in spite of how busy they were, she was smiling and friendly. Cheevers has a full menu of tempting dishes but based on our waitress' recommendation, I ordered the smoked brisket hash and was glad I did. The sweet potatoes were a great match with the subtle flavor of the smoked brisket. The complimentary house roll was delicious, light and yeasty and with a sprinkling of what tasted like dill. My friend loved the shrimp and grits that she ordered. The portions are generous enough that I had to have a to go box. The drink menu listed many delicious sounding cocktails and mock tails that I look forward to trying next time. I can't wait to return. Busy as they were, I would suggest reservations. read more
