Been to Cheezy Vegan before, but last month we got delivery a lot, every week to be exact, and everything we had was delicious as usual **Long Review Alert** Here are some of the items we had recently: Everyday I'm Brusselin' are brussels with the perfect amount of char and seasonings....the only way I can eat brussels!! And their bang bang sauce is sooo yummy! You get a good portion too. We got the Cheezy Mac & Me in the large size and kids size....the kids size is actually enough for 2 people, and we ate off of the large size for a few days! If you're not used to vegan cheese, there can be a slight after taste at times, but it's still good and I like it! We got Blackbird's Seitan Half Dozen of Wings with General Tso's sauce....they really taste just like boneless wings, actually better. I need to change sauces next time and try a few of the other flavors If you haven't had the Crab Cake Hash, you need to try it today! I would've never thought to have crab cakes and hash browns together, but it is perfection And the Cheezy sauce with spinach all combined too makes this an amazing meal. The Cheezy Cowboy Meatloaf is thick and very tasty, one of my faves! You can taste all the ingredients and the bbq sauce is just right, sweet and tangy! You can't even tell that the Parmesan Get It On isn't real chicken. The marinara sauce and melted mozzarella cheese is blended well. I didn't have as much meat this time, but that didn't take away from the taste. If you don't want a crab cake meal, then you must get the Fiesty Crab sandwich! It's a different kind of deliciousness with the onion rings and cajun remoulade sauce added. I'm telling you, these crab cakes are melt in your mouth good! The Nashville Hot is a must try....OMGee, I think this is my favorite sandwich There's 2 nice pieces of chick'n drenched in buffalo and cajun remoulade sauce....2 of the best flavors on one sandwich. The lettuce, tomato and pickle is the perfect amount of crisp to take away from the heat. I do love the fries, but I literally only had a handful this time around which I was sad about. Of course you have to try some of the sweet treats. We had the confetti cake which is really small, but very good....I would get again. And the chocolate chip is always a must have. There are many new items on the menu since we've visited and I can't wait to try as many as possible. I'm sure I'll have some more new faves add. Prefacing this by sharing that I am an omnivore, my husband is Vegan. This place was fantastic. The art on the walls is funky and fun, rather unique. Very clean. Waitstaff were friendly and attentive. Menu is 100% plant based. Portions are huge - we both have about half of our meal left over. We shared the Brussels (Buffalo dry rub served with a sweet tangy dipping sauce - goddamn I would go there just for these), I had Maryland style crab cakes over hash browns with a cheezy spinach sauce, my husband had Maryland style crab cake sandwich (the Cajun remoulade ) - fries on the side. Prices are pretty reasonable for a vegan spot. I am now at home studying the menu for my next visit - which is probably going to be very soon. read more

The food here is sooooo good!!! All vegan, and VERY kid friendly. My youngest had a vegan pizza that did not aggravate his allergies, my other son had chick'n tenders and fries- I had the fried pickles (sauce was BOMB) and seitan wings with harissa aioli. I love 90s RnB and that was playing the whole time. I also got some goooood cheese fries. Listen, this is a new fave of ours and we will be back very soon! Service was on point too, attentive and very friendly. This is a great place to have a great meal that won't trigger allergies! It's a heaven send. I also love the graffiti on the walls, very hip! I miss the movie star pics from the former iteration, Frankie's on Fairmount, but otherwise this place was just what my friend and I wanted one day recently. Tucked away in a Delco strip mall, Cheezy Vegan is a real hidden gem. Vegan or not this is some of the best comfort foods I've had. The mac and cheese is unreal, perfectly cheesy, I also really enjoyed the "swissful thinking" a vegan take on he deli Rueben, perfectly seasoned seitan, fresh slaw and a non-dairy swiss that's one of the best I've had. The milkshake I had was great, think, no soy or coconut aftertaste you get with some non-dairy shakes. Highly recommended read more

We were looking for a vegetarian friendly place near Chester for lunch when I came across Cheezy Vegan on Yelp. What a great find. Everything on the menu is vegan (duh) but the variety and flavors are out of this world. We started with wings, made of seitan with a Thai chili sauce and a cucumber wasabi dip. Tasty, and crispy and spicy. I then had the Cheezy South Philly Roast Beef sandwich. Wow. Slices of beef and cheese with an au jus...except it was all vegan. And delicious. And filling. R. had the Reuben and tried to figure out how this couldn't be pastrami and Swiss cheese. S. went for a more traditional fried rice bowl that filled him up and put a smile on his face. The staff were super friendly and we felt well cared for. I wouldn't expect this level of great vegan food in a diner like setting at a strip shopping center in Woodlyn Pennsylvania, but there it was. Let's just start this review with a top of the line AMAZEBALLS!!!!!! We had the sweet Thai chili wings and loaded cheese fries. YUM! This is all vegan but bayyyyyy-beeeeee it's fire! Chef Reeky let us sample the fried lions mane mushrooms which made you think you were eating true meat! The homemade remoulade sauce was beyond tasting ordinary. I Love seitan like I used to have growing up and the nostalgic memory is really making me smile :) The spices are flavorful but not overbearingly spicy at all. Definitely a tasty balance. One of my favorite parts was the sweet potato wedges and the cucumber wasabi dipping sauce. That sauce was really tasty with the mango habanero wings too. Longtime vegan here. I eat the healthy stuff at home but enjoy a nice indulgent restaurant experience when I can get one. The beauty of being able to order off the entire menu is an indulgence in an of itself. Cheezy Vegan has so many options it is hard to decide. Everything I have tried over the years (including when it was called Frankie's on Fairview) has been tasty. The portions have become smaller over the years, but that's not a reason to not eat here if you are on the veg spectrum or just veg curious. Main complaint is that the restaurant is cold. Uncomfortably cold. As if they don't want customers to eat there. I was there yesterday and there was a kid under a blanket, a man in his hoodie (hood up!) and his family appeared to be prepared with sweat jackets. No matter the season, it is too cold to eat there comfortably. The food gets cold. Almost like they would rather folks just take out. Also, the service was not too responsive yesterday but there appeared to be a lot of people working - just not everyone was working the tables. Our eventual waitress was polite enough, but it took a while to get someone to take our order. And of course we were just freezing while we waited. The only food complaint I would say is that the potatoes (fries or hashbrowns) are always a bit overcooked. Maybe 1-2 minutes less in the fryer and they'd be perfect. Wonderful food selections. So many it is hard to choose what to order. The atmosphere is great (mural, music, vibe) but please for the love of Pete, turn down the ac! I ordered a fresh brewed coffee, butterscotch iced coffee, an ultimate biscuit, a Nashville spicy chicken sandwich, two kids' waffle sandwiches, two kids' mac and cheese, a cheesecake, and two bread puddings. No idea what any of that tasted like because I didn't have any, but my girlfriend and her kids absolutely loved all of it. It's hard to find vegan places, so I'm really grateful for this one and hope others will try it out, whether you're vegan or not. Found this spot by accident. We do not usually eat vegan, however my granddaughter who was with us does so we gave it a try. This food was AMAZING!! The portion size was more than ample, the prices were very reasonable and the service outstanding. My husband who is definitely a carnivore still does not know he wasn't eating a "chicken" sandwich. All the great reviews on Instagram didn't lie... this place is great and just what we need (and desperately lack) on Long Island. I can't recommend this place enough for breakfast or lunch or both. My sister and I were really intrigued by a vegan spot opening up in our very own delco! Usually you'd venture into the city for this kind of cuisine. It's therefore pretty niche, and they delivered on their promise that even non-vegans can enjoy it. As a situational pescatarian (lol), I try to limit my animal-product consumption chiefly for the environment. I don't think Cheezy Vegan shares this priority, but that's okay -- these practices could also be due to COVID. They give you styrofoam takeout containers, plastic utensils in plastic wrap, plastic straws, cups, etc. I hope to see some improvement there, but by not serving any animal products, they're probably more sustainable than most restaurants! The ambience/ interior could use some work, but I know they're just a brand new biz trying to make their way. They had fake brick wallpaper -- very tacky. Above that was another panel of white wallpaper which could use some more character. We came for brunch on a Thursday morning and there was only one person on the wait staff -- she was sweet as could be! We were the only ones in the restaurant too, and they seemed a bit frazzled to have in-person diners (maybe more of a takeout-kinda place nowadays). I was surprised that they didn't have something as simple as an iced coffee when I inquired about drinks. Now for the food. I definitely ordered wrong and wasn't super hungry upon arrival, so when my plate of the ultimate biscuit arrived (it was listed under "foodie favorites" on the menu) I wasn't exactly anxious to jump in. I'll say that it certainly wasn't this foodie's favorite, but my sister really enjoyed her McReeky breakfast sandwich. Mine just smelled overwhelmingly of salt, and the gravy too much so reminded me of vomit. I was really impressed by the vegan eggs, they resembled the texture of real scrambled eggs to a 't.' The chick'n was the highlight of the plate -- it tasted so real it was fREEKY! (Haha, the chef's name is Reeky). Next time I'm going to try the chick'n and waffles, as that sounds more up my alley! After stumbling on Cheezy Vegan on IG and salivating over every picture posted, I finally found my way there last Sunday morning for breakfast. It was early and empty, yet the customer service was impeccable. I couldn't decide between the stuffed French toast and Chick'n and Waffles. Taking head to the advice of my server, I made a game time decision and ordered the Chick'n and Waffles. The portions were surprisingly quite large! The Chick'n was seasoned to perfection, Cap'n'Crunch coated with a touch of heat from the drizzled hot sauce. The flavors were reminiscent of Southern Fried Chicken. The waffle was dusted with Confectioners Sugar. The waffle was a little dense for my liking. I prefer my waffles light, fluffy, and a hint of sweetness. The Confectioners Sugar, syrup, and Chick'n redeem the waffle. The unexpected superstar of my meal was the Key Lime Shake. No, I didn't order it. What do you think I'm a pure glutton? My server shared it was a flavor they were working on and asked if I wanted to try it. Honey- this was like liquid Key Lime Pie crust included! Absolutely delish!!!
