The staff here at Luhv are what make it great! Each time I've gone, there was a different person behind the counter and each one was just as friendly! They engage in conversations and answer all questions you have about the food. Now the food, as a picky vegetarian that enjoys vegan food, I love to eat there! I used to eat meat and tuna many years ago so I can say their vegan tuna salad taste so close to the real deal without any of the ick of real fish. First time trying tofu and I ordered the Cajun tofu sandwich and chips. I liked it. I cut my sandwich in half to eat so it kind of got a little sloppy and each bite would fall apart a bit but i still ate it. Tofu texture reminded me of the texture of egg whites. The chips were like a kettle cooked crinkle cut chip.Overall good. Service was great. I ordered around lunch time online and chose curbside pick up service which was very fast. The food here is delicious. The service is great, and the other patrons are always friendly. It's hard to find vegan restaurants in our area of the burbs, especially since Blue Sage and Bernies closed. I have also bought some LUHV items at Whole Foods, they carry more at Reading Terminal. Glad I was able to try this place out tonight, been passing this corner spot on York Road forever now! I planned on getting take out but they do have a few tables inside. I got the black bean burger and the energy soup. I thought the burger was a great size and even came with cheese! I thought it could have used a bit more flavor though. I had eaten Luhv at the Terminal Market before & didn't have the best experience, but I decided to give Luhv a second chance at the Hatboro location, & it did not disappoint! The cashier recommended the Reuben, and I'm glad I tried it. As you can see in the picture, this Reuben was so nicely made & nicely packaged! The way that the sandwich was wrapped prevented any messes & allowed me to easily save the other half of the sandwich for later. Little things like the packaging of the sandwich makes a huge impact on the eating experience. The Reuben itself was eye-opening. Nicely buttered & toasted, this felt very healthy & tasted delicious. My daughter and I decided to stop at Luhv's because we were in the area and had good reviews on Yelp. The place is small and quainte, but enough space to sit down and eat your food. I decided to get the Chickpea Tuna Salad Sandwich and The Power Chili. I was very pleased with my food. I was very impressed at how it tasted very similar to real tuna. Need to get the recipe:). I really love this vegan gem in Hatboro. This great place has outdoor seating and is usually open on Mondays!! It is always a treat to order their refreshing lemonade. The food here is filling, delicious, and consistent. I really enjoy the vegan reuben and the Philly cheesesteak. After watching The Gamechangers on Netflix, my husband and became vegan. Needed food for the super bowl and since I'm new to veganism, I decided to try LUHV. Omg, I never knew vegan could taste good! I am blown away. I am a new vegan so i am very much missing the animal product texture. I was googling places to get some comfort food and Luhv popped up. The girl working the counter was very kind and helpful to me. I ordered 1 pound of tuna salad, 1 pound of chicken salad, and a Reuben with split pea soup. I got the Chik'n sandwich and Sweet Potato Jalapeno soup. They were both really good. They also have frozen 21oz soup for sale so you can take home and enjoy. I liked the sweet potato jalapeno soup so much that I got the frozen one to go along with the Reuben sandwich. Now I bought the Reuben to have for dinner later that evening, but I couldn't help but peek at it when got it home. And it looked so good that a peek turned in to a bite. And wow! So GOOD! whys this place SO goddamn good? I first tried the rueben when i was in reading terminal at their deli location and that corned seitan was so good i almost cried tears of joy. It felt like plant- based angels came from the heavens and wiped my tears, handing me the most perfect vegan thousand island dressing and a perfectly paired rye bread. So, today i felt sick. And Hungry. My non-vegan family refuses to eat here, so onward i go to uber eats, and i was tempted by the rueben. but i said "No! Talia! Life is about living. Experiencing! New flavors! " Im still picky about vegan tuna so I played it safe and ordered the corn-beef with coleslaw sandwich on ciabatta bread. I do not have a refined palette, but dammmmn take my word when i say that shit SLAPPED! The coleslaw and vegan mayo paired perfectly with the smoky seitan, and the ciabatta was like the cherry on top. I also ordered the Sweet Potato Jalapeno Soup as a side and it warmed my sick self to life again! I feel free. rejuvinated. It does seem like they should offer lettuce in place of bread as the bun. We both agreed the " energy" soup was tasty and I think the price of good. A super cute and casual all vegan cafe! They had a lot of soup, salad and sandwich options, all around $10 and under. I loved the chicken parm sandwich, also the grilled cheese was even better than a regular grilled cheese! I wish the soups were a bit more savory and less spicy. There is some seating inside, as well as outside (although on a busy street). Also it would be nice if they had more dessert options ( I did see a vegan raspberry chocolate cheesecake!). There is no inside seating, but they offer pick-up and delivery as well as outside dining. Despite the near 100 degree temps, I grabbed a table outside under an umbrella after ordering inside with a very friendly and bubbly cashier. The cashier explained the menu options clearly and was very helpful during my visit. I ordered the highly recommended black bean, plantain, and roasted poblano burger in gluten free bread with kettle chips and pickle. You also have the option to get a salad or soup with your burger, but those options seemed a little too busy and hardy and I would have preferred a simple side garden salad. The restaurant also offers a few dessert options but unfortunately the chocolate brownie which was huge and looked very good was not gluten free so I did not partake. read more

Today, I got the black bean and plantain burger with a side chopped salad. (I really dropped the ball on getting decent pictures and I apologize for that.) I've never had a black bean burger I've liked more than the one they serve at Luhv. My chopped salad with chickpea tuna was amazing! I've never had it before and I can say, as someone who never ate tuna fish literally ever before in my life, it was delicious and the texture wasn't far from hummus for the most part. My boyfriend has the reuben, which was also delicious. The counter girl was so sweet and helpful. I didn't catch her name, but she had beautiful red hair and she was great. I write this hoping that it was just a VERY bad day as I love to support local, vegan businesses. However, my partner and I had the absolute worst, most bizarre interaction at Luhv recently. The short of it: WEIRDEST experience ever, no apologies for mistakes or issues, and the food was medicore at best. I WAS SO DISAPPOINTED! :( The details: I was very excited to try Luhv out from the other reviews here and had planned to order a bunch of items, including a few pounds of take home salads (tuna, macaroni, and coleslaw). I had been talking about it for days. My partner and I got there about 15 minutes after they opened. However, when we walked in, no one greeted us. I cleared my throat as politely as I could and the cook poked his head from the kitchen and came right out. I had been most excited to try their tuna salad as it was so prominent on their website. When I ordered it, though, he said he didn't understand, so I pointed at the menu above our heads. He said he wasn't sure why it was still on the menu as they hadn't had tuna salad in a long time. My partner then pointed to the tuna salad pita meal and he said "Oh, you want the pita? Sure!". Huh. Ook. My partner ordered a grilled cheese with tomato soup, and we both asked for simple tap water. When I took my credit card out to pay, he explained that the person who knew how to operate the cash register hadn't shown up for their shift yet, so we weren't able to pay until she got there... Interesting. The lights were not turned on, we had to take down our own chairs, and about 20 minutes later (after watching incredibly awkward interactions with two other couples), we were served a grilled cheese (no soup), a chicken sandwich (never ordered), and tuna salad on pita (hooray!) with a side salad (never ordered). We never got our water. About 40 minutes after we got there, a staff person sauntered in, clicked on the lights, and went to the kitchen to chat with the cook. We again had to clear our throats and stick our heads in the back to ask to pay. I'm not sure what would have happened if we needed to leave earlier - we didn't have cash and the cook didn't know how to work the register. My partner and I simply just ate what we got, paid for the items, including the soup we never received and the sandwich we didn't order, and fled as soon as humanly possible. We left with a great story, but a very bad overview of Luhv. We now regret not returning to HipCity Veg in Philly where we had amazing service, incredible food, and a nice atmosphere. I'm very frustrated with Luhv. My husband and I like to support them since they are the only vegan spot in the area and we love that they are on UberEats. However, nearly every time we order from them, our order is wrong. Some examples include: ordering the grilled cheese and tomato soup and then the soup is missing, ordering a salad with a burger on top and receiving a side salad and burger instead, ordering the chopped salad and the chickpea tuna missing, ordering a soup and it not being included, ordering a salad and it's missing... Like I said, they get our order wrong a lot. The food is really tasty and, as a celiac vegan, I appreciate the vegan and gluten-free options.
