FINALLY made it on a Sunday for the cinnamon rolls and it was tot worth the wait! Soft, pillowy, a great cinnamon layer and the cream cheese frosting was perfect! There was no line (we came before noon). Quick to order, although they were already out of sourdough loaves. Super cute inside, and we even got patio seating. Overall, a lovely Sunday experience

Support local! This local bakery is awesome and adorable. It's right off Manhattan and open during the construction (2025) and worth taking the detour just a block to get there. My husband is the connoisseur of baked goods in our household and he is a huge fan of their cronuts and croissants. I mainly consume chocolate, but I will say their baked goods are 1000x better than anything sold at the grocery store. Everything is fresh, natural, and made on site. You forget what fresh tastes like until you try something here.

I finally made it to The Chef & The Baker on S. Manhattan Avenue after one of my best friends raved about their croix donuts for months ~ and wow, it did not disappoint! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the warmest front desk representative, Lisa, and had the pleasure of meeting Chef Rosana. Both were incredibly kind, welcoming, and made the experience feel special. The food and drinks were absolutely amazing. My Café con Leche was perfectly balanced and delicious, and the iced vanilla latte was just as good. We tried the homemade Cinnamon buns, a plain sugary croix donut, and the Nutella croix donut ~ each one unbelievably fresh, flaky, and full of flavor. We also grabbed a baguette to go and ended up trying it in the car on the way home... it was delish! You can taste that everything is genuinely homemade. The café itself is adorable ~ cozy and inviting. I'm already looking forward to coming back and trying more from their menu. This little hidden gem definitely lived up to the hype! I recommend this spot!

A super cute and quaint cafe with delicious baked goods, sandwiches, empanadas and coffee. The music is a vibe Jazzy and electronic while you sit at the wood counter sipping a caramel macchiato and nibbling on a cinnamon roll. The cinnamon roll was warm and soft. The beef and queso empanada was flaky and savory. They'll get you in and out. Everyone was pleasant. See you next Sunday

I've been a couple times and the shop is so cute and cozy. There is always a good variety of different bakery and savory items. I've tried the avocado tartine (not pictured) which was pretty solid. The pastries are delicious but the ones I got with the fillings and icings were too sweet for me. The banana bread was a little dry and not my favorite. I really enjoyed the croix donuts and croissants!

Stopped by Chef & the Baker in South Tampa this morning for breakfast. It's a small bakery with a great selection of baked goods, breakfast sandwiches, and coffee. I had a Bacon, Egg & Cheese Croissant. The croissant was light, buttery, and flaky. The egg was cooked nicely, and the thick cut bacon was soft and just how I like it. You can tell it was fresh and scratch made and it made for a great breakfast sando. I also tried one of their Croix Donuts, the marriage of a croissant and a donut. Crispy on the outside and soft and airy on the inside. Super tasty. I got the cinnamon sugar dusted one and it was and really good, the perfect sweetness to complement the beautiful texture of the donut. Accompanying my meal was a Cortado from their Espresso Bar. Always one of my go to drinks, a double shot of espresso with equal parts steamed milk. Quite tasty and perfect to pair with the donut and sandwich. This is a popping little spot, and worth a stop if you're in the area and want quality, fresh food made by good folks.

Found this place for a quick Saturday breakfast with the family, everything was delicious! You order at the counter and food comes to you, device is fast and friendly. There are various seating options indoor and outdoor but the place was definitely popular and packed! Great neighborhood place, for sweet morning treats and coffee, great selection, parking in front and side of store, would definitely recommend!

Chef & The Baker is where baked good dreams come true! There are so many things available here: breakfast croissants, empanadas, crepes, fresh baked bread loafs, donuts, cakes, coffee and more. I've visited a few times now and tried several of their pastries. Everything is always amazing so far my favorite is their Nutella donut. Customer service has always been perfect each visit. I can't wait to come back again sometime soon!

I recommend either the coffee or the pastries here! This matcha wasn't the color I would expect in a latte, a little muted in green and it definitely had more of a bitter taste. I personally love matcha so I can still get down with it, but for the masses, I would recommend getting some sweetener in this drink if you decide on matcha from this place. I really like to come for a quiet and nice place to get work done because they have nice benches and tables for personal space. There is also complimentary water and wifi which is a huge plus for digital nomads.

Such a cute little spot. Music is a tad bit loud but great bright lighting with all the windows. Food is good and packaged/ displayed so cute! Definitely will be coming back.

Everything was amazing , the coffee and the Nutella cronut were my favorites. The employees were friendly with lots of smiles for you. I did take a star due to affordability. I spent over $60 for a few pastries a challah bread and a coffee. It may be steep for some but I understand that I'm paying for premium baked goods. I would suggest to have menu items that attract more budget conscious patrons and you'll grow as big as an oak tree, LOL. Good luck chef.

I recently tried Chef & The Baker South Tampa. Here's what I thought. Atmosphere: Chef & The Bakery has a beautiful indoor and outdoor space. The inside space was bright and inviting. They have ample indoor seating and a lovely outdoor patio to sit at and enjoy your food. It's a great place to sit outside with your dog! Restrooms: They have a single bathroom. It was nice and clean. Service: We were welcomed right away by their friendly staff. Our service was quick and efficient. Food: I tried their 'Kouign Amman' which was a fluffy pastry filled with apricot jam. It was savory and sweet. It was soooo good. All their bakery items are made fresh and are sold until they're sold out. So get here early to have the best choice of items. I had a cappuccino which was sooo good. I will definitely be back because everything here looks amazing! Instagram: @living.with.reg

The service, atmosphere, menu and employees were all amazing. We had the cinnamon buns, a cookie, the Nutella stuffed donut and a caramel macchiato. Everything was phenomenal, the coffee was superrrrrr strong and therefore tasted very bitter but the baked goods were incredible. Will definitely try again.

This is a true authentic French bakery, no doubt in my mind. The iced salted caramel latte is the best I have EVER had. I could taste every flavor and it blended with the coffee perfectly. The ham and cheese croissant was so flakey, the perfect ham ratio and just all around fantastic. The pastry I got had raspberry jam and white chocolate ganache (I don't remember the name of it) and it was seriously the best pastry I've ever had. Most pastries can be too sweet, but this was just right. The jam tasted fresh and homemade (probably is!) and the white chocolate ganache gave it just a touch of sweetness. It is a little pricey so be warned: $48 for two coffees and two pastries. Definitely worth a splurge!!

When I spoke with the person behind the counter she told me she could make up a few more for me but that it would be about ten minutes or so which I was okay with and glad that she was willing to do so. I told her I would visit the other shops in the plaza and be back. I waited the time and returned only to find out that she was told by someone, the owner or manager that she couldn't make anymore. So I wasted my time and spent unnecessary money on a drink elsewhere to only have that result. I know it wasn't her fault but I thought that was bad customer service. Probably more than a year later, I was down in that area again so I called ahead to see if they had any available. They did so I stopped in and got one. Now, I know Pistachios are expensive but, I do not believe what I got was worth $10.00. Even with my love of Pistachios, I thought that the top of the croissant was too covered with them to make it an enjoyable bite as it was over powered on the half that was covered. The croissant itself was a little over baked as well. I do not remember what flavor I got the first visit but the croissant was properly baked that time. I know there can be off days and maybe I visited on those days given the customer service during the first visit and the over baked goods on the 2nd but I won't rule them out, just won't go out of my way to return either.

Paris Baguette has EVERYTHING I love. Cake. Latte. Bread. Pastries. What more can a woman ask for???!!! I was already swooning over the photos and menu options seen on Yelp and Google, but TASTING is BELIEVING and now I'm so glad that I can say it's everything I hoped it would be. It's like a little piece of Paris right here in Tampa! (I've been). So I've come for cake, stayed for latte and quiche, and because why not, threw in the salad so that lunch and dinner is taken care of, too! Okay, first off...what I got. The quiche is light and airy, and is basically a croissant with quiche filling instead of a quiche slice. I love croissants, so this was a nice treat for me that I could hold in my hand. The Salted Caramel Latte I thought was pretty unique, because yes, there's a PRETZEL on top of it (which I plucked off and ate the first thing when I got it. It was a decent size too, not too filling, with a good variety of veggies such as cukes, carrots, tomatoes, on top of mixed greens with Korean beef, which was the only heavy thing on the salad so you don't feel weighed down. It's great to know if you're watching your waist line or caloric intake, Paris Baguette has you covered with no problem as the nutrition facts are listed on the menu so you can make an informed choice. Of course, their cakes are so good, you wouldn't help but want to indulge. Which brings me to my final point. When I saw MOCHA CAKE on the menu, I thought, OMG I have to have it!!! It's EVERYTHING I could want and more and I must ask WHY ISN'T MOCHA CAKE MORE OF A THING NOW???? The sponge cake was light and airy like a coffee cloud as was the buttercream, not too sweet, rounding out my whole meal in nice elegant, finish. The shop itself is cute, but Muffin and I ate outside since the outside area is dog friendly. It reminds me of those open-air cafes in Europe, especially in Paris, elevating my lunch experience with my dog. The staff is super nice and welcoming on approach, too. No one can really see over it at the employee behind unfortunately, and patrons don't seem to understand how to get in line or order. There needs to be permanent markers set up so people can view from behind the counter areas and then order once they are called it has been a cluster the five times I've been into the shop. You are a huge Tampa brand that has been around for a very long time, and you could have sold your own coffee for a much cheaper price. kind of crushed the charm of a true cuban coffee experience. Lastly, there should be a one-ticket system. I enjoy buying something from every area of the store, but having to swipe my credit card three or four times is a buzzkill. There is no reason, in this day and age, that this should be a problem. You should be able to carry your ticket until you're ready to check out. When I want something light for breakfast, my go-to is the Everything but the Bagel yogurt bowl (house cured wild caught salmon, cucumber, pickled red onion, tomato, crispy capers, & everything seasoning). It's such a fresh gorgeous bowl, packed with protein. I also love their extra thick cut bacon on the side. My sis got the strapatsada which is a breakfast classic on their menu (greek scramble with caramelized onion, roasted cherry tomato, creamy feta, & grilled baguette). It's a very generous portion and she had a good amount leftover to take home. Of course, you can't leave without a few pastries for the road! They are a bakery-first concept and all of their breads and baked goods are made in-house. We got the baklava coffee cake and brioche bread pudding muffin to-go. Psomi never disappoints!

I've heard great things about this place from the locals and after trying it, I absolutely see why!…read moreThe ambiance is lovely, with plenty of seating inside and outside. The service was also great. What I especially love about this place is how they go the extra mile to produce quality food. They bake all their things in house, don't use seed oils, everything is grass-fed, amongst other things. We ordered the bacon eggs Benedict, the Favosalata, and French toast. All were very good. I plan to come back here again!!
