    lots of vegan baked goods

I am so glad I decided to try this spot today. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's super spacious and very vegan friendly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The cold brew was good and [[HIGHLIGHT]]there's definitely a welcoming culture to sit and stay a while.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I am going to be back here to try more coffees and even some WeVegan baked goods.

Room for the regulars and newbies alike. March 2025

[[HIGHLIGHT]]There was no beer, no Norm, no Woody or Sam... but there were high stools and that feeling that you were in a place where everybody knows your name-and your order![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]This is clearly a locals spot, with lots of regulars-but it's also a welcoming place for newbies.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] DOY (dear old Yelp) led me to SOG (South of Gandy?) around 8am on a weekday morning. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was quiet when I got there-just one couple sitting at a table by the window.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I'll bet that's a weekly habit for them-sitting by that window. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There was one long table with wooden bench seats-two small tables with chairs-and at least one high counter with white metal stools.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] You order at the front counter, just inside the door, and they'll bring your items to your table. The staff is very friendly and efficient. The Cuban toast is a great combination of crunchy/soft/chewy. I wasn't totally sold on the matcha, but that's my fault, not theirs. It's hit or miss with me. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's not a big place, but it's cute and comfy, with a bright, colorful mural by the front counter and merch.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]By the time I left, people lined up outside the door. Clearly, they're loyal to this spot-and I can understand why.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's on a corner, in a two story commercial building with outdoor seating/picnic tables and a parking lot.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Prices seemed very comparable to other breakfast spots. Go get yourself a cuppa cozy!

Coffee was good, and they offer coconut milk. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Small shop with quite a few seats.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] we really enjoyed the banana toast. Service was great. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I wouldn't recommend for trying to do any work or reading, it's a busy shop and the acoustics in the space make it a touch on the loud side.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Not complaining - just warning if you like quiet.

I got the iced latte with the Florida man syrup. I would say it's comparable to a honey and vanilla latte but really enjoyed and will definitely go back again.

SOG Cafe is a nice local cafe/coffee shop in the area. I have only tried their coffee and smoothies so far - both amazing. Their food menu sounds and looks delicious so I can't wait to stop by for an actual meal one day to try. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is seating inside and outside here.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I highly recommend if you're in the area and looking for a good cafe/coffee shop!

SOG cafe is easily my favorite coffee shop in South Tampa! [[HIGHLIGHT]]It is a clean, quaint shop.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They have so many fun food and drink options, and their coffee is delicious and consistent. I'm a tough critic when it comes to coffee, and I must say SOG has the BEST iced vanilla latte in Tampa! It's not too milky, espresso is smooth, and it's not overly sweet. Their smoothies and smoothie bowls are also delicious. The staff are friendly and helpful, and it's always a delightful treat stopping by SOG cafe!

Truly our favorite place. We live in the neighborhood & our favorite thing to do is walk to SOG. The employees are incredible, cafe con leche and tampa cold brew are a staple. The smoothies are delish & refreshing. Toasts and sandwiches are outstanding. All around a 10/10. We love SOG.

It doesn't look like much from the outside, but you should definitely give it a try! Support local! Ambiance is clean and bright. I got the acai bowl for my Sunday breakfast. Staff was friendly, and I enjoyed my meal.

Love this cute local cafe! Randomly looked up a cafe spot to work at and I will be coming back! The staff were super friendly and have great WiFi. Everything here is made fresh and my friend was gluten free so they customized a dish for her which was nice and I had the smoothie bowl and it was so good and refreshing. I'm not a huge coffee person but they had the best cafe con leche! Highly recommend!

    punta cana smoothie, Cuban sandwich

We live in St. Pete, and we truly believe this is the best Cuban sandwich we've tried in Tampa Bay. We've been coming to SOG for a couple of years now, and it's just so freaking good. An honest little spot with great staff and a very tasty menu. I usually get the Tampa Cold Brew with my Cuban, but I went with the Punta Cana smoothie today. Much yum

Very tasty breakfast and lunch option on Interbay. Dominican owners and proudly sharing much of their heritage - artwork, old school coffee makers and more. Super yummy breakfast options. Loved the smoothie! Conveniently located t Interbay & MacDill intersection. Every time I've been you'll see families before a game or any number of people steadily coming in for a drink or a bite. Wish you folks long term succe

We were in town for 10 days and lucky enough to find SOG on day 3. After our first visit we were sold! SOG is the kind of establishment that makes you feel at home. I was greeted by name daily and blown away by everything we tried. Highly recommend the breakfast burritos, breakfast tacos and acai bowls. Big fan of their drip coffee! Even bought a tshirt that is now a staple. If you're looking for a place that will make you feel at home with friendly faces, great food, sustainable practices and great music... look no further!

I stopped in for a quick breakfast and ordered The Yankee (pastrami, scrambled egg whites, and cheese on an English muffin), a side of breakfast potatoes, and one of their cream cheese brownies. The standout was easily the breakfast sandwich. The English muffin was one of the best I've ever had. Fresh, soft, and clearly made with care. It was also a bit larger than your typical English muffin, and honestly, the bread was so good that I found myself taking the pastrami out and eating it separately because I enjoyed the egg, cheese, and muffin combination that much. If you're someone who loves an English muffin breakfast sandwich, this is worth trying for the bread alone. The cream cheese brownie was also excellent. I would absolutely order that again. The only real letdown was the breakfast potatoes. They were just okay and could have been much crispier. They were already a little soggy even though I picked my food up as soon as it was ready and ate it immediately, so it wasn't a case of the food sitting around. Service was friendly, but I was surprised by how long the food took considering the restaurant wasn't particularly busy and there were plenty of open seats. Overall, I can definitely see why Wright's has been a Tampa staple for so long.

They even have a little marketplace, where you can grab British snacks and candies as well as to-go meals for at home. I ended up ordering the Coronation Chicken Salad with potato salad. The chicken was tender, creamy, and had a little bit of spices akin to curry spices without the heat. They also added lil pieces of dried citrus slices on top to add a bit of sweetness. The salad ingredients were well paired together; I had the creamy garlic dijon dressing atop a bed of greens, sunflower seeds, tomatoes, and what I believe to be dried cranberries. The potatoes for the potato salad were tender and well-seasoned. I was actually surprised with the portion size! For the price of the meal, I think the portions were worth it! Also, although it's not explicitly stated, they also have scones with clotted cream and your choice of jam. The scones are fluffy and dense (but it doesn't feel heavy on your stomach after you eat them) and pair nicely with the airy cream and flavorful jam. Definitely an item to order in addition to your meal. I also had a bite of my friends' sticky toffee pudding. I had the pleasure of coming here twice - once for lunch and another time to buy actual meat. The initial take of the Meat Market lends itself to some hesitation and doubt. A fast glance may trick one into thinking that the store is part of the Circle K gas station itself - it is not, so don't worry about getting any gas station "specials." As you walk into Interbay Meat Market, you will find yourself immersed in truly a large-sized bodega with open-faced fridges, packed with drinks, lined against the outer walls. In between everything else are your groceries and other common pantry items. Almost at the center is a cantina/canteen, where you can pick out your own lunch from an assortment of available freshly cooked foods. The food you find here would be comparable to Caribbean twist or any other Latin-cafeteria style eatery. The servings are generous for a decent price. If you're coming here for lunch, there are outdoor picnic tables so you don't have to bring the heaping trays back into work if you don't want to. Next to the cantina is the fresh meats section. The cuts of meat here all look great and freshly stocked. They are neatly stacked and organized giving it overall appeal. I came here for steak and was happy with the various cuts they offered (porterhouse, NY strip, ribeye, Delmonico being the commonly recognized ones).
