Ticos is one of the best bakeries around! They have an amazing selection of pastries, sweet and salty, they also offer one of the best cachitos(Venezuelan ham bread) I've had! Service was excellent! They were very nice and attentive, their chocolate croissant is also out of this world! I also tried their coffee and it was pretty good! The place looks very nice and neat! They have some prepaid street parking in front! Coming back for sure to get some cachitos again!

I've been here twice. In each time. I feel like I am a welcome member of the community. There's such care taken with these baked goods. They are beautiful and delicious. The bakery is is modern well, and a great location. It's my new favorite place

We visited for the first time to check it out as they recently opened. We were warmly greeted as we walked in and the smell was amazing. The display was beautiful and everything looks so fresh. They have a wide variety of sandwiches and pastries. They are beautifully crafted as you can see. The cinnamon roll was fantastic and a pretty decent portion size so you can eat in and still have some left over. They'll even warm it up for you if asked. The coffee was also really good too!

The amazing smells when you first walk in was lovely. Right by the historic district in Ybor, this bakery was a site for sore eyes. We ordered the cinnamon rolls, pistachio Berliner and almond croissants. All were perfect. The almond croissant was soft and doughy and had a perfect amount of filling. The berliners were delicious and flavorful. All these would have been great with coffee, which they offered, but we didn't order.

Visited Tico's Bakery and really enjoyed it. First things first, my biggest question was parking. Okay so there's a parking in the back and come to find out afterwards, it said Columbia's, but I def saw people coming from Tico's park so we did too. We walked to the front of the building and across the street is another parking lot. I didn't check how much it cost but it appears to have a Park Mobile there. Down the street are some meters same side as the bakery, but currently covered due to the Reliaquest parade happening later. They have low tables and a comfy couch and two chairs like a mini living room or lounge space. They are very nice. This is a Venezuelan bakery so it peaked my interest. They currently had homemade sourdough bread, sweet bread loaves, and pan de jamon(traditional Venezuelan bread for Xmas). I wanted it but didn't want to pay around $30. We ordered two guava and cheese pastries and one pistachio cream filled brioche. Everything is amazing here. We didn't order a drink just had water. Will def be back to try more.

This is a new bakery located in Ybor. The inside is super trendy and modern. I love the light fixture and glass pastry displays. This is my true and honest review. Everything looked much better than it tasted. I wouldn't say it was a bad taste. It just was very average in my opinion. I had a chocolate cinnamon roll. It was good, but I didn't really taste any cinnamon. It was all just chocolate. I also had a cheese roll which had ham and cheese inside of it. That was OK. I also tried the chicken roll, which had chicken stuffed inside a pastry that was a little dry for my liking, however went well with the sauce. Overall, I would say this bakery is just OK nothing very special. It's nice to have the option in the area.

We finally made it over to this place as we live in ybor and wow... the sandwiches and pastries are amazing... We got the focaccia mortadella sandwich, chicken pastry, two croissants,a Nutella donut and two coffees. We loved everything and can't wait to come back to them gem!

Pistachio croissant

A newer cafe in ybor and well worth the trip!! We loved everything about this cafe, from the food to the ambiance! The service was great and plenty of seating to accommodate the busier morning. We tried the pistachio croissant and the ham and cream cheese and loved both! I also got the coconut iced latte and it was not too sweet which I loved! Definitely will be going back soon!

Tico's Bakery lives by their motto "always fresh". Stopped in for a cafe frio and cinnamon roll and they were absolutely FRESH. Stop by and support this newly opened business if able. They have lots of sweet treats and the ambiance inside is super clean/new. The service was spot on and friendly.

This is our third time stopping here when in Tampa & I finally took a picture before everything was gone. The Pistachio Croissant was so good, as was the Nutella Croissant. This morning they had some mini-croissants which was nice. The latte was hot & tasty. We were all surprised by how good the Guava Croissant was during our visit last month.

You won't regret it. Awesome variety and fully stocked with house made BEAUTIFUL pastries and really great coffee. Lattes are $3!

Vanilla iced latte and pan au chocolate

What a hidden gem! Stopped by sun morning and was greeted with smiles and an abundance of gorgeous baked goods. Had to hold myself back from ordering the whole place. Instead got a vanilla coffee and pan au chocolate. The coffee was extremely good, not overly sweet with great taste. The pan au chocolate may be the best I've tasted. Would highly recommend.

I had the hardest time choosing which pastry to get because they all looked like works of art!! Super friendly staff, great service but now to get to the goods: the coffee and pasties. This is a true authentic French bakery, no doubt in my mind. The iced salted caramel latte is the best I have EVER had. I could taste every flavor and it blended with the coffee perfectly. The ham and cheese croissant was so flakey, the perfect ham ratio and just all around fantastic. The pastry I got had raspberry jam and white chocolate ganache (I don't remember the name of it) and it was seriously the best pastry I've ever had. Most pastries can be too sweet, but this was just right. The jam tasted fresh and homemade (probably is!) and the white chocolate ganache gave it just a touch of sweetness. It is a little pricey so be warned: $48 for two coffees and two pastries. Definitely worth a splurge!!

They have four locations, and we went to the one in the Ybor City Historic District. La Segunda is an institution for Cuban bread and pastries, baking 18K loaves daily and ships nationwide via Goldbelly. Our niece's BF is Cuban, and he said buy anything with guava. In the box (see photo), we bought two each of guava flip (kind of a folded tart or empanada), guava turnover, and guava flip with cream cheese. All of them are delicious! I like the flaky guava turnovers the most even though they didn't survive the transportation across the country in my backpack as well as some of the others. Even though slightly crumbly, still yummy! I also bought butter cookies, sold by the pound. Those are relatively ordinary; I'll skip those in the future. Next time, we are carrying Cuban sandwiches home! I really wish I carried them home. I was having Cuban sandwich withdrawal. This location is older but functional; there isn't seating. Their customers know what they want, and everything moves FAST. If it's your visit (like it was for us), I suggest looking at the menu online to know what to order. The service is friendly, even though I can tell he was a bit exasperated that I didn't just yell out my order and I asked questions. I honestly don't fault him. Busy places have their own pace, and the customers are the ones to keep up. That's perfectly ok.

Cake. Latte. Bread. Pastries. What more can a woman ask for???!!! I was already swooning over the photos and menu options seen on Yelp and Google, but TASTING is BELIEVING and now I'm so glad that I can say it's everything I hoped it would be. It's like a little piece of Paris right here in Tampa! (I've been). So I've come for cake, stayed for latte and quiche, and because why not, threw in the salad so that lunch and dinner is taken care of, too! Okay, first off...what I got. The quiche is light and airy, and is basically a croissant with quiche filling instead of a quiche slice. I love croissants, so this was a nice treat for me that I could hold in my hand. The Salted Caramel Latte I thought was pretty unique, because yes, there's a PRETZEL on top of it (which I plucked off and ate the first thing when I got it. Tasted rich and delicious, and was a great companion for my food. Now, usually I don't bat so much as an eye for a salad, but that Korean beef salad looked fresh and yummy, and it would definitely take care of dinner for the day because, why not, while I'm out? It was a decent size too, not too filling, with a good variety of veggies such as cukes, carrots, tomatoes, on top of mixed greens with Korean beef, which was the only heavy thing on the salad so you don't feel weighed down. It's great to know if you're watching your waist line or caloric intake, Paris Baguette has you covered with no problem as the nutrition facts are listed on the menu so you can make an informed choice. Of course, their cakes are so good, you wouldn't help but want to indulge. Which brings me to my final point. When I saw MOCHA CAKE on the menu, I thought, OMG I have to have it!!! It's EVERYTHING I could want and more and I must ask WHY ISN'T MOCHA CAKE MORE OF A THING NOW???? The sponge cake was light and airy like a coffee cloud as was the buttercream, not too sweet, rounding out my whole meal in nice elegant, finish. The shop itself is cute, but Muffin and I ate outside since the outside area is dog friendly. It reminds me of those open-air cafes in Europe, especially in Paris, elevating my lunch experience with my dog. The staff is super nice and welcoming on approach, too. It's a bit of a drive for me, but it's really not THAT bad depending on when I go and the business hours help, too. Unfortunately, the pizza was disappointing. The meat lovers pizza appeared to contain only sausage and pepperoni, despite being described as including bacon and ham as well. The overall quality and flavor reminded me more of cafeteria-style pizza than what I expected from a restaurant with Alessi's long-standing reputation. The 1912 salad, while fresh, priced at $16 for a large, also felt overpriced for both the portion size and ingredients. It consisted primarily of lettuce with a few strips of ham and salami and a small amount of finely shredded cheddar cheese. The Asian chicken salad offered a bit more substance, but by 11:00 a.m. they had apparently run out of the Thai dressing and substituted Italian dressing instead. The replacement dressing did not complement the salad well. Whether it was house-made or purchased, it tasted like a standard bottled dressing, and a more suitable alternative would have greatly improved the dish. The pastries were the highlight of the meal and the one aspect that truly stood out. Going forward, we'll likely stick to what Alessi is best known for and skip the rest. After spending approximately $120, I expected a much better overall experience. Given Alessi's excellent reputation and years in business, this visit simply did not live up to expectations.
