Their menu is very limited and by looking at the pictures, that Ragu definitely caught my eye. I'm a meat eater and this plate has chunks of beef so I ordered it. Come to find out, they change the meat and pasta often so the meat they put in Ragu that night was ground beef (like bolognese) and the pasta was the large macaroni type. Very disappointed to say the least. Steak chunks in parpadelle pasta just like what they served prior would have been five stars! My wife's pasta dish was also changed to gnocchi which she didn't care for. We definitely went on a wrong night, but what can you do if your reservation is still a month away? The only thing I enjoyed was the tiramisu. Light and not too sweet. Service was slow although our server was friendly and accommodating. Mamasamas is only available for dinner and maybe because it's cooler at night. The place had fans running throughout and windows open. Not sure if it has air conditioning.

When we arrived, we waited for a few minutes without being acknowledged but the staff definitely saw us. It's a small restaurant and it's hard to miss the people coming in. After receiving our drinks, we were ready to order but our server immediately left us. Usually after serving drinks, they would ask if we are ready to order or if we need more time to check the menu. He did neither. So we were left waiting again. We had to call his attention to order. Food - we ordered the bread (Pane Fresco), it was supposedly baked fresh so I was expecting it to be warm, it was not. They did provide another basket that was warmed. The burrata was good but not great. I enjoyed my husband's Ragu, you can really tell that the pasta was house made, it was cooked Al dente, delicious but small portion for the price. I was disappointed with my order. Arrabbiata is one of my favorite sauces and although it was tasty, I did not particularly like the gnocchi. This is probably the first time I did not finish a dish in a while. The highlight of our dinner was the Tiramisu. It was rich and creamy, I would recommend ordering this. I noticed that the menu changes when I checked Yelp prior to coming here. But the only difference would be the type of meat and pasta they use in the Ragu and Arrabbiata. The cosmic fries were below average and that could stem from the way the fries are made (shoestring style) but even then the seasoning on it was nothing special. The cosmic fries came with a cosmic sauce that was great and was a perfect addition to the burger. The Venus wings were solic with pretty good texture but ridiculously overpriced with a price tag of 13$ for 5 wings which is a scam, if you charging 15$ for wings they gotta be the best wings ever (they weren't). However, and this may be just my opinion but, if you're going to call your food truck "The Fried Egg" perhaps eggs should be a part of the make up of most of you menu items. Given the current menu options I think a better name for this truck would be "The Fried Egg is a $1 add-on option." I mentioned to the young lady taking my order that it surprised me that, given the name of the truck, I would have to pay an up charge for an egg. She relayed my sentiments to the cook, who may have been the manager or owner. Nevertheless, I ordered the Classic Smash Burger and did ask for the fried egg add-on. The food was prepared really quickly and the burger looked perfect. However, the young lady informed me that unfortunately they only had 4 eggs left and that they all fell and broke on the floor before my burger was ready. So she handed me a $1 bill as a refund. The chef had everything from seafood to brisket, pulled pork, and ribs, as well as sides and a variety of drinks. We decided on a lb of brisket and lb of pulled pork to take home. It was way more than enough to feed the family. The meat had that yummy bbq smell and it tasted just as good. We will definitely return to try some of his combo meals. His personality and customer service alone, is enough to get me to return and give him more business.
