This is my first stop for food when I come to Lawton to visit. The service is excellent and the food is even better. I usually get the Butter Chicken with mild spicy level for my friend. Even with mild spiciness, there is a depth of flavor in each bite. I get Chicken Tiki Masala with medium spicy level. Both dishes are loaded with tender chicken pieces. While I find that only mildly spicy, that level sets my friends tongue on fire. You get plenty of rice for the dishes. The samosas are huge. The spice level is like the Tiki Masala - mild to me and too spicy for my friend. Garlic naan is the best. The chai tea has a smooth, strong flavor. I detest weak teas. read more

Came here for dinner last night. The food was bomb... we'll get that part out of the way. The service left a little to be desired; I try to give people in the service industry the benefit of the doubt, so maybe this guy was just having an off day. But, when he brought out our entrees and naan bread, he said he was going to go get us some rice. Then he proceeded to go chat with other tables, stand behind the bar, do other things. He looked over at our table multiple times, so I'm sure he saw us just dipping our bread in the sauce from our entrees. Finally, about 10 minutes later, he walked past our table (while serving the one by us), and I had to ask for rice. He brought it promptly, but there was no apology that he forgot or that it took so long. Will definitely be back, because the food was on point, but just hope to see a little more attentive service next time. read more

To be honest, I'm not sure it's possible to say just how much I love this restaurant. We went there for my birthday last year, and have gone back every chance we get since. The food is absolutely delightful. My husband is always happy with all the super spicy things he gets. I'm always dying and loving it while I enjoy my not nearly as spicy chicken tikka (I have a very low threshold for spice). We love the interior design of the place. It feels very welcoming to us and is comfortable. It's also the most affordable place to go out and have a date night in town. My husband can get anything he wants without breaking the bank. The same can not be said for any steakhouse. read more

have only ever gotten takeout but it is easily one of my favorite spots to get food at in lawton. it does take a bit more than estimated to get my order once there but it is so worth it. they have also given me free stuff when i've had to wait for too long which was great. their curry chicken and mozzarella naan are the best. read more

Called up there once and said surprise me with something, went up paid like 16$ it was the lamb Had the vegetarian curry , they made it too spicy like unbearable for this white boy, tears in my eyes and draining my nostrils while I ate it Wooweeee but it was good. The lady at the front was very nice . Definitely would eat here again and again. The third restaurant with a 4.5 star rating tried in Lawton recently and left wondering if the Grinch stole the taste buds of every Who in Whoville. Granted, the naan was very good as others have mentioned here - but, the Chicken Tikka Masala literally tasted like Chef Boyardee canned pasta sauce with mini O's. My wife had the Spinach Curry, which lacked depth too and tasted more like worchestire sauce instead of... um, curry. But on a positive note, the frosty glass of Coca-Cola utilized to wash down the so-so Indian food was very good as well. (NOTE: Tikka Masala is one of my favorite dishes, I've literally eaten it hundreds of times around the globe, and this instance made me question if I was plugged into The Matrix or not). My friends and I love the Chicken Tikki Masala from Chef India! Every time I have a visitor from out of state, I insist we get Chef India and my guests have never been disappointed. I've always appreciated the family-run business. The daughter that generally works the register is incredibly sweet and I always enjoy chatting with her while I check out. I will chose Chef India over a chain restaurant every chance I can. So although I love the food! Because pre covid I came here for the lunch buffet frequently. Only giving 3 stars this time because this is now the second time I've tried their carry out and it's like I barely have any protein.... plenty of sauce...!!! But tiny diced pieces of chicken. The first time I got the lunch special. Butter chicken and tikka masala. It was soooo good BUT there was literally 5 small pieces of chicken in each small corner. I figured it was lunch portion.. which is still ridiculous. So today I got a regular portion of chicken tikka masala. Taste good as usual however, in the clear circular container........ lots of sauce AGAIN.. can see onions and herbs. There's literally a spoonful of chicken.... like really....... how is an adult supposed to get full off of 8 pieces of small diced chicken. Very disappointed. So here's my take on, "Chef India". I thought the seasoning on the food was good, since I do love curry. Could have it been stronger, definitely yes but that's ok. At lunch time they do a buffet of traditional and veggie Indian food which is okay and I say ok because I wish it would of been more of a variety to choose from. My complaint on the buffet is that it was in between warm and cold, so it didn't hit the spot as it should of. I paid $23 for the buffet which was the cost for my wife and I. I think a little pricey considering that the food was just above cold. Hospitality was good and they had a television with entertainment from India which I liked. I gave it a 2 star rating solely based on the cold buffet. Would I go again to eat at this place, NO, would I recommend it to someone yes. read more

I'd say this Chef is from India. The food taste great atleast the one I ordered "Lamb and Chicken Biryani" the staff work with my liking and offered me a combination of two. The place is clean and nice ambiance. The food price is within reach the Mango Lasi was ok but little bit liquify not as thick as I use to order in Maryland. All in all this is a great place to suffice your cravings of Indian foods. And yes I totally agreed with my friend who recommend this place to me and I also recommend this place to everyone who got a taste for something Indian. read more
