Buffalo chicken deviled eggs, so good!

Delicious buffalo chicken deviled eggs! Such a fun twist on the classic. The other food looked good too. I'll have to try more next time.

I visited their food truck at Friday Food Truck Day which is in the parking where Sam's Club is in University City. There are different food trucks every time so I was fortunate to visit on a day they were there. I chose to get the deviled eggs with tangy buffalo bites inside. It was delicious. I will love to try them again.

Let me cut to the chase here! You've got to try this food truck. I want to give you a heads up; the food is made to order, so be prepared to wait a bit for your order. When we arrived, there was a line, and that immediately signaled to me that the food had to be top-notch. I spent about 15 minutes in line, which gave me time to review the menu and specials they offered. When it was our turn to order, we went for the quesadillas, small plate of chicken tenders and fries, and the shrimp and grits. Everything was delicious, but my absolute favorite was the Shrimp and Grits. I've had shrimp and grits at various places, and sometimes they get the concept wrong--either the shrimp isn't right, or the grits aren't hitting. Not the case here! Everything, and I mean everything, was perfect! What made it even better was that the portion matched the price. Often, with dishes like shrimp and grits to go, I feel like restaurants give you less, but not Chef Kenny's Kitchen! They made sure to provide a hearty portion with a generous amount of shrimp. It had a nice kick to it, not too spicy, just right! I wish it could have lasted forever, but it was incredibly tasty. When I'm back in the area, I definitely plan to make another trip.

Visited Kenny's at Food Truck Friday at Armored Cow Brewing. It was cool and rainy, but the person at the window was like a bit of sunshine. So nice, and great smile. My husband ordered the shrimp and grits, which looked amazing. He said they were great. I will have to go back to try for myself. I ordered the loaded Parmesan fries. At first bite, they were so good! Love the flavor of these. Didn't want to stuff myself by eating it all, so I'm looking forward to my leftovers. You can add Buffalo sauce, too, but I decided not to this time.

Pork belly and loaded garlic fries

Ordered the pork belly and the loaded garlic fries - everything was absolutely incredible. I can't wait until this truck comes back to my area, I may have to go find them wherever they are. Everything was priced reasonably, came out fast, service was friendly, and the food was so delicious. I trust everything else in the menu is just as good.

I made it back home from Texas all! Thanks for the prayers for my team and I during our first hurricane of the year and the fourteen hour drive home. Keep Texas (and other impacted areas) in your prayers! On another note: I always make sure I eat good after getting off the road. Many of you know I lost my house and had to move last month. Nonetheless, I met one of my new neighbors today because his food truck was at the entrance to the community. He and his wife are super pleasant! The food is on POINT!!! I ordered the chicken quesadillas and MAN!! Seasoned right, REAL chicken, REAL cheese!! Didn't try to hide the food by drenching it in sauce, so you definitely got to see the skills! The quesadilla was crispy too! Shout out to Chef Kenny's Kitchen !! Good fries are hard to find anymore but theirs are perfect! This whole plate would be $20-$25 in Dallas, Chicago or Miami... not here: $15 !! Look at God! Ha! Check them out next time you're in Charlotte [look at their page to see where they'll be]. Time for rest! #Blessings

The first time was in November 2025 and 2nd time March 2026 where the bartenders were professional, welcoming, knowledgeable, and made some of the best Bloody Marys we've had in Charlotte. The food was excellent, and we left both times excited to come back. Unfortunately, this Sunday's visit (around 2 p.m.) felt like a different restaurant. It was much busier, and service was noticeably lacking. We waited quite a while just to be acknowledged, our drinks weren't nearly the quality they had been before, and the Bloody Mary tasted like it came straight from a mix instead of being handcrafted like our previous visits. The food was also disappointing. It was much saltier than we remembered, and we never received the Caesar salad with steak we ordered. To the staff's credit, it wasn't on our bill, so we didn't mention it. Overall, no one was rude, but the attention to detail, professionalism, and overall experience that earned our previous five-star reviews just wasn't there this time. We're hoping this was simply an off day because we genuinely loved this place and would like to see it return to the high standard that made us regular customers.

Big, open and airy. Lots of seating and a few party rooms too. Loved the outdoor seating too. If it had been a little cooler that would have been perfect. They have cornhole and ping pong and just a fun atmosphere out there. Our server was warm and attentive. We did not have to wait for refills and she was quick to answer any questions we had. We started with a few apps - the chips and onion dip and the pigs in a blanket. The chips were well salted and the onion dip was DELISH!!! The pigs were wrapped in homemade party dough and came with a honey mustard crème fraiche. They were so good!! For entrees we tried the fried chicken, prime rib dip, and the meatloaf. The chicken was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and perfectly seasoned. The mashed potatoes were so good too. The only misstep on this dish was the biscuit. Way too dense and not very flavorful. The prime rib dip was tender and came on the most crispy bread. What a great combo! The only thing that wasn't great were the fries, just nothing too special. The meatloaf dish was flavorful and came with those yummy mashed potatoes so great pairing. We didn't have room for dresser on site but we did take the monkey bread to go and enjoyed it later. Good portion size and full of apple and caramel flavor. Did not regret taking that home!! Really looking forward to this spot opening closer to home. Highly recommended

There were several "reserved" tables that remained empty until after we had finished eating, so I think the restaurant could benefit from a better reservation system with more accurate buffer times to accommodate walk-in guests. To avoid the wait, we decided to sit at the bar, and I'm glad we did because the food was amazing. The fried chicken and waffles were perfectly seasoned, and the waffle had a unique texture and flavor that reminded me of a combination of a traditional waffle and a soft pretzel. The cheesy potato cake was absolutely delicious. The fruit bowl was also good, but I wish they had been a little more generous with the blueberry pudding. The shrimp and grits came with large tomatoes, which may not be for everyone, and my friend felt the dish was lacking grits overall. She didn't feel like she got her money's worth. Would I go back? Absolutely. My meal was delicious, and I can't wait to return and try more of their homemade, fresh dishes. I also think it's great that they partner with local farmers to help curate their menu.

I was very excited to come dine here but was left feeling very conflicted…read more On one hand, I had the best chicken and waffles ever. The chicken tenders were soft and tender, with a crispy and well seasoned fried skin. Not too strong, but just enough to really appreciate the chicken. The waffles had this really nice bouncy chew to it, similar to a mochi donut. Really enhanced further by the syrup and amazing texture difference when you get any of the crispy chicken over the waffle. But on the other hand, everything else we ordered and the service while we were there were lacking. We had a reservation for lunch on a Sunday, and were seated very quickly. But then it took a very long time for a waiter to come to us. Once the waiter did arrive, we weren't greeted or introduced, simply just a "know what you want?". On top of that, when asking what was in the quiche of the day and the market rate we got a "idk maybe 14 or 15" and then what we were told was in the quiche was just not true haha. We were told there would be some vegetables and cheese, but ended up with no cheese and a lot of potatoes inside our quiche. The food did come very fast after we ordered so that was a plus. I think the main reason this experience left a bad feeling was because the table next to us had the same waiter and got a completely different experience. The waiter walked them through the menu, told them about the history of the restaurant, and told them a completely different (but this time accurate?) price and contents of the quiche of the day! I'm glad the chicken and waffles were fantastic, but it is sort of hard to enjoy your meal when you see completely different service from your waiter just one table next to you :(

The service was incredible from the moment we walked in. Our server was attentive, friendly, and made sure our drinks were always filled and that everything came out just right. You could tell the staff really cared about making sure guests had a great experience. That level of hospitality always stands out and made the visit even better. We started things off with the Choose 3 appetizer, and it was the perfect way to kick off the meal. We ordered the spinach dip, Wisconsin cheese bites, and queso, and every single one of them was delicious. The spinach dip was creamy and full of flavor, the Wisconsin cheese bites were perfectly crispy, and the queso was the kind you keep dipping into even when you tell yourself you're done. For the main meal, there was something for everyone. The kids chicken strips were a hit and came out hot and crispy. I ordered the country fried steak, and it was exactly what you want from comfort food. Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and covered in rich gravy. We also ordered the pasta, which was flavorful and cooked perfectly. The restaurant had a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere, which made it easy to sit back and enjoy the meal together. When you're traveling or visiting family, that kind of comfortable environment makes the experience even better. Between the great appetizers, hearty comfort food, and laid-back vibe, Cheddar's was definitely a win for our family. If you're in the area and looking for a place where everyone at the table can find something they love, this is a solid choice.

The ambiance is basic but nice. Unfortunately, my experience was not a good one. They get one star for the bread and honey butter drizzled on it.
