Crab cake entree with a side of Mac and cheese
    John C.

Walked into Sol'Delish with some friends on a Thursday night around 6:20. We were in the University City area for a conference and walked over to this shopping center from our hotel. The restaurant was busy but not overly so. They were able to seat us right away. There were lots of delicious items on the menu. My friends all got the salmon (two grilled and one fried). I got the crabcake because I just have to be different, I guess. They brought out cornbread muffins with honey butter that were delicious. They were really soft and cake-like and the honey butter topping was awesome. Two of us got side salads for our side and they came out with the meal, which isn't my preference but the food came out quickly any way so it was fine. The side salads were MASSIVE. Lettuce, cheese, tomatoes and onions (removed from mine) in a huge bowl. Probably could have been a meal to itself. The food came out and there was some confusion on sides that were mismatched and all of the salmons were grilled (instead of the one fried). Everyone really enjoyed their meal. I kinda wish I had gotten the salmon because it looked amazing and really well seasoned. The crab cake I had was good too. I think it had their Garlic Parmesan Cream sauce on top. The crab cake was big and had plenty of crab. I think I would have preferred a traditional tartar sauce on the side. I got their mac and cheese for my other side. It was super creamy and cheesy. It was also topped with the garlic parmesan cream sauce. Very tasty. Service was good. Not ton of visits to the table but I don't think we ever wanted for anything. My total with tip was about $40 and I think it was worth it for all the food I got. Would be a fun place to return too! Good job, Sol'Delish!

This was my time supporting this establishment. There was bit of a delay because there was an event going on. The food was very good. We had Paradise waiting on us long with a young lady shadowing Paradise. Awesome wait staff! The ambience was nice with black art throughout the restuarant. There was a DJ playing music. I will definitely be back. The food took to long. It was a table of four and one waited an extra ten minutes when it was a duplicate of another person's dish- chicken and waffle

Didn't know this location was here until we stumbled upon it! Very pleased with the aesthetic, the food, the drinks, and the service. We ordered the Sol Sunrise and the Berry Delish - Both were not only good but strong as well. Our waitress was polite and offered some good recommendations on what to get. We ended up getting the Salmon and Waffles w/ "Homestyle Fries" (roasted potatoes). The Salmon was perfectly seasoned with a nice crunch to it. The waffle was fine - Didn't look or taste like a fresh waffle but again it was fine. Those potatoes??? 10/10 - I could've just gotten those and would've been content since I'm an avid potato lover! Also, got the Sol All Star Breakfast. Waffle, Eggs, Turkey Bacon, and "Homestyle Fries." Everything was cooked as expected and taste was good. It's a nice brunch spot right at the boardwalk. Great location placement for any type of group.

To give you a heads up.. just know they have two locations. One is the restaurant where you can dine in or sit at the bar. You cannot order take out at the restaurant location. You have to go around the corner to their original location to order take out which is the 9211 North Tyron street location. The food was delicious. No complaints. I ordered friend chicken , greens , yams and macaroni and cheese. All tasted typical how I would expect these dishes to taste. The star of the show was the crab cakes and the sweet potato cake. Both were absolutely delicious. If I lived in Charlotte I would be here every week for the crab cakes and sweet potato cake. The crab cakes were seasoned to perfection and fresh. The cake was so moist. It was a perfect blend of pie meets cake.

Burger was well done, I requested medium. Seafood mac n cheese was delish. The salad had the grilled mushrooms, peppers & fries on top of it which was weird, thought that would have been on my burger. Everything greens was flavorful.

The food is very good. Zero complains. The service is exquisite. The tone of the interior is extraordinary. 10/10

A nice place to bring your wife or your date. The Restaurant has a night clubbish feel. The food is very seasoned, a little on the salty side in my opinion but good, hopefully you're not hypertensive. ( bring your meds) Service is fast and courteous and you'l hear oldies R&B as you wait for your food. A nice "adult " atmosphere, I would definitely come back again.

Excellent first time dining experience here. Lovely friendly staff and service. A true treasure and a great dinner find. Came here for a farewell dinner to my time in Charlotte and what a way to end my dining story here. The gin and soda drink was amazing. My chicken wasn't plain. It was flavorful and not boring. The collards I gave them a try just too salty for me. And the fries just yum.

I came here at 9:05pm on a Saturday night with my friend. The first observation was that the interior is small. Our Waitress was Lee. We ordered "berry blast" and "giving me the blues" at 9:08pm. We ordered food at 9:12pm. We got salmon bites for appetizer. My friend got 2 bakes turkey wings with rice and seafood Mac. I got the 3 friend wings. Berry blast was delicious! I think our waitress made our drinks. 9:24pm is when salmon bites arrived. Food came at 9:39pm. We also got corn bread. The Food was DELICIOUS and fresh! Music was great! My friend was visiting from out of state and I was visiting from another part of NC. We were in the area for pride events. We both desire to return! We didn't have a single complaint regarding the food. Highly recommend! Also, I believe someone told me that they were moving locations to a bigger spot, which would be great!

Met a few friends for Saturday brunch. The line was long when I walked through the door. So I was very excited with anticipation of dining here thinking it must be great. The dining room was okay. Some tables were way too close together and the staff had to bump you or you had to move your chair for others to get out of their seating. I ordered the grits and salmon. The grits and salmon lacked flavor. I had to track down a salt and pepper shaker to make them worthy of eating. The strawberry lemon drop cocktail was amazing a nice balance of fruit and sweetness. The server admitted lunch and dinner was better. If I try again, it will be for dinner. Service was okay. Had to really flag them down if you needed anything else .

Atmosphere was that of a nice lounge, probably a great date night idea. Waitress was very helpful and courteous very knowledgeable of the menu. Food was better than advertised.

Decided to give Sol'Delish a second chance because I always hear such great things about the food, and though my initial experience with them was TERRIBLE, I believe in second chances!! I'm delighted that I made the decision to stop in for lunch and give them a try, because the food was worth it. We went to their new location on the boardwalk, and it's much larger than their old location, we opted to sit outside since it was such a beautiful day, and the outdoor seating was such a vibe! I ordered the fried flounder with Mac n cheese, mixed greens, and yams! The fish was seasoned and fried to perfection! Chef's kiss!! You get two sizable fish filets with your order, the sides are kind of small but my meal was very filling! The meal comes with two sides and they upcharge on certain sides. The Mac n cheese was good, the greens were very vinegar forward, and the yams tasted like they had been refrigerated and reheated in the microwave. But again, the star of the show was definitely the fish, it was hot and freshly fried, great crunch to it and seasoned with love!!

I typically give places at least two attempts before writing a review especially when they are in my neighborhood. It took two hours to even eat here. One hour wait before sitting and another hour to order and get food. At one point glass scattered and shards flew onto our table. The food came out hot but way after people who were seated after us got their food. We didn't even get drinks until the food came out. The server did apologize and try to explain and the manager did comp us a percentage on the meal. Sadly I knew it was going to be like this when I walked in. It would be great if they had a staff meeting on how they can help each other stay organized and turn over tables quickly.

It's seat-yourself, so we had to pull a couple tables together to fit everyone. One thing to note: it was very warm inside, so I'd recommend sitting toward the back where it's more comfortable. My boys really enjoy this place, so I wanted to like it more, but the food was just okay and a bit pricey for what you get. Most items run about $14.99-$21.99, even appetizers are at entrée prices. I ordered the Carne Asada Fries appetizer ($15.99) after hearing they were "fire." The steak had good flavor, but the portion was light--fine for sharing, but not very filling. One entree, Big Dipper ($15.49), a roast beef seemed overcooked and there wasn't much meat on a large bun. Two people from the table ordered pizza. Neither ate more than 2 pieces. On the positive side, the beer selection is excellent, with plenty of options on tap and in bottles and cans--from Guinness to local IPAs. The atmosphere is also unique: plates cover the walls and ceiling from guests who've completed their beer challenge, which makes for a fun, quirky vibe you really have to see in person. Dart boards for those who want to be a bit more active. Overall, it's a great spot for beer and atmosphere, but the food and pricing didn't quite match the experience for me.

The side of Mac was $9 the entree of Mac was $26. If I go back and get the entree I would definitely share it. Sooooo good, nice and creamy and cheesy, huge pieces of shrimp. Ambiance: great music! R&B vibe. It was kind of challenging to carry a conversation so I would not pick this as a romantic date spot. Quite a few stairs outside as well as inside fyi. Service: the only reason I'm not giving 5 overall stars is the service. Some staff were clearly hustling and others not so much. We asked for our table to be wiped down and the busboy who was supposed to come never did and we eventually just switched tables. However that's where the good experience ended. Took literally 20min for a waiter to even come over, in spite of seeing at least 3 different workers come out to help patrons who were seated already and eating. A couple that got seated right after me was waiting just as long. When a waitress finally came out to get my order, I wanted a drink but opted for just water because I didn't have time to be waiting even longer for refills that prob would never come on a paid drink. I went ahead and placed my order too because again, didn't need anymore time passing, especially since I had been sitting for 20min anyway had plenty time to figure what I wanted. She takes my order and immediately goes back inside, leaving the couple who came after me still waiting to even get a cup of water or any acknowledgement. It's like they can't multitask or something. I literally saw abt 4 different waiters on that small patio coming and going so couldn't for the life of me figure out what the hold ups were. Anyways only brunch was served at that time so I opted for the chicken and waffles. It was good but I think $16 for two small wings and a waffle a bit much, but everything is expensive these days. The food didn't take long to come out after I ordered. It was advertised as coming with warm maple syrup. But nope cold syrup in small lil cups. Again since I waited so long to even be served i didn't have the patience to wait for some warm syrup. Overall food was just ok, nothing to make me want to go running back for. Poor choice of restaurant to celebrate 50 years of marriage. Tip: If you are celebrating anything, try another steakhouse. There are plenty of others in Concord that will cook the food properly.
