Would i be safe to eat here with a peanut and tree nut allergy?

Many foods have peanut oil and peanut chucks in them, although some foods do not, I would not risk it because of the peanut dust getting in as well as other ingredients can get inside, especially if you have severe allergies to peanuts. But I am not… Read more

Or really any quality takeout of any kind. $90 order, ranging from dumplings to basic entrees to rice. Everything was off - slopped together, underseasoned, lazy vegetable chopping (and questionable) choices of vegetable ingredients. No Wok fire/heat evident in any of the entree's and everything was a gluey, flavorless mess. The noodles for the Lo Mein seemed honestly just spaghetti. The orange chicken was dry/old, almost no breading, and honestly didn't taste orangey at all. The kung pao looked like what my 7 year old could have made (when we was seven). More like boiled chicken topped with raw Safeway vegetables, whole peanuts, and a soupy cornstarch soy sauce afterthought. The kicker was they do not have any house made sauces, so if you want good mustard or something edible for dipping - welcome to shitty packet hell as they refused to provide those (if they existed). I'm curious what they do when you're in-house but if I''m paying for the same food I'm not sure why I wouldn't get something besides high-fructose corn syrup garbage stamped out in a factory two years ago. This reflects lack of care to the product and customer experience. Highly unfortunate for an establishment that used to be "decent" as I said.

Service was really good (better than average Cantonese restaurant lol). The place was not busy probably due to a weekday. We ordered the usuals for Cantonese, and were generally happy about the food quality. Based on the speed the food was served, it was probably not made fresh, but we were satisfied with the texture, flavor, and temperature, at this price point. I think for a casual dim sum bite this place is ok, don't expect anything stunning.

Parking: there's some street parking, but it can be rough. There is a parking lot nearby. During peak times or weekends, it can be hard to find parking. Pricing: Pricing is average/very reasonable for the area, but may seem slightly higher if you're used to dim sum in other areas (but hey, rent must be expensive). Food: Food is typical dim sum food. It's good and traditional rather than the super fresh or high-end dim sum places-more of a "get your dim sum fix place. It's not the healthiest and some dishes can be a bit bland; you might get tired of some of the more filling dishes. Atmosphere: The restaurant is nice and clean, but nothing fancy. It is a no frill place, but well-kept and not cluttered like some other places.

Reservation was easy to make over the phone and you have to preorder duck ahead of time. We also got pan fried buns, bok choy, and mandarin fish. Dishes are expensive but good quality. I read mixed reviews about the duck but I thought it was great - crispy skin and relatively tender/juicy meat. It is the first time I've seen an extra charge for the duck pancake wrappers; it was not a pleasant surprise but at least they were thin and delicious. We opted to have a soup made from the leftover duck and that was delicious. Service was also pretty good; they even packaged the leftovers for us. Highly recommend for a special occasion or to impress friends but too much of a splurge to go to regularly.

We are huge fans of their sister location, Treasure in Belmont, so we were really excited to try…read moreout Imperial Treasure for dinner. Unfortunately, it just wasn't as good overall as the Belmont spot. The space itself is older, and the seating feels pretty tight and not as comfortable. As for the food, we ordered the Peking duck, which came with a lot of meat, but the duck itself didn't taste fresh at all. It had that distinct, stale "old meat" taste to it, and the texture was completely off and mushy rather than having a nice, fresh bite. The xiao long bao missed the mark too--the wrappers were too thick and the filling wasn't nearly as savory or delicious as what we're used to. Even the basic steamed rice tasted like a cheaper, lower-quality grain. For the other dishes, the stir-fried scallion lamb was way too salty, even though we specifically asked them to go light on the salt, and it lacked that deep umami flavor they get so right at the other location. On the bright side, the Treasure's signature beef honeycomb tripe was actually really good, though the spice level is definitely on the higher side so beware if you're sensitive to heat. For dessert, I finished with the sesame glutinous rice balls in sweet rice wine because it's one of my absolute favorites, but it fell short since there was barely any wine or osmanthus flavor. The service was also pretty lacking throughout the night. They didn't even bother to clear our dirty dinner plates off the tight table after we ordered our dessert, so everything was incredibly cramped. They also completely ignored the rest of our Peking duck instead of proactively asking what we wanted to do with the carcass bones and the remaining meat. We had to specifically flag them down ourselves to ask about it and explain what we wanted done with it, which should really be standard practice for a proper duck service. Compared to the sister restaurant, the execution, environment, and service here just aren't quite there yet.

There's plenty of parking and the restaurant itself has plenty of seating. Upon entering, staff was welcoming and friendly. They offered to explain the instructions on how to build the bowls for barbecuing. A table will be assigned ahead of time and set with water mugs and utensils. There is a large variety of ingredients to build your mongolian bbq bowl such as baby corn, mushrooms, onions, and more. If desired, there are extra seasoning add ons at the end. Free soft serve is included with the meal. Always great to have dessert at the end! I'll definitely be back. Lots of love to this location!

First off, the lunch price is at $21.99, and this includes two trips to the buffet although they allow a third trip in which they don't state because lots of people tend to go over what they want and don't finish. The restaurant is clean, and the owner's make sure they're wiping the buffet bar often. It looks as if the husband does the cooking while the wife goes around checking on tables and guests, etc. I would also like to thank Jenny, one of the employees, for being so nice and treating us like family. She gave us knowledge about the place and its history, etc. They have most of everything you'd typically want in a Mongolian buffet bar except I wish they had lamb as a lunch item as opposed to just dinner. The food is cooked fresh and hot! I love that they have additional condiments such as sesame oil, teriyaki sauce, and more to add into your bowl. I do think they should also include fried rice, soup, and other hot items as part of the experience to draw-in more customers. The old Mongolian BBQ spot in Santa Clara used to have all this and they were so popular and loved. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed this place and will definitely come back again for lunch. It's so delicious and can't wait to come back.
