Delicious dumplings! The coconut lava balls were delicious as well and not too sweet! Cucumber salad was the best I've had in recent memory, we were sat immediately around 6:30 pm on a Thursday as well. The place is small but cozy, two rooms of seating. Service was quick and food was hot! Overall great experience, would recommend for dumplings!

Friendly and quick service. The woodear mushroom and cucumbers were very garlicky. Both the lamb and pork and chives dumplings arrived hot with good flavor. The soup of the beef tendon and noodles was a bit bland but the tendon was soft and hubs enjoyed the bowl after doctoring it up some.

Very casual and chill inside. The waiter was nice. The pork dumplings were my favorite dish. I love the dumpling wrapper and the meat and veggies inside were flavorful. The soup dumplings were good but they did not have ginger on the side which was disappointing because that is a must have when eating soup dumplings. The Beijing Noodles were underwhelming. Lacked a lot of flavor. I enjoyed the addition of bean curds in this dish though. The bean curd sticks had inconsistent texture and flavor. Some pieces were too soft and bland inside while other pieces were perfectly cooked with even spread of flavor.

We arrived about half an hour prior to closing of lunch and we got a bit of attitude. We made sure whether or not it was okay to dine in, otherwise we would've had no problem eating elsewhere. We ordered quickly and paid the bill before their closing time but felt a vibe still. Moving along to the food! The soup dumplings were pretty good, it was flavorful but didn't have a lot of soup inside. The noodles were delicious but the quantity of noodles in each bowl were a bit underwhelming. I get that it's not favorable to arrive right before closing, but I feel like it's okay to be up front that you can't serve us or maybe telling us we can only take out instead but don't say it's okay to dine in but give attitude to your customers.

My colleague and I were in the area and stopped in for lunch. The restaurant was pretty much empty for it being 1:30 in the afternoon. We both wanted something light but filling. So we came here, the host/sever wasn't welcoming but wasn't rude either. He just didn't seem happy to be working. The chef who brought us one of our dishes was more friendly. Asked my colleague if she needed a fork and checked in on us when other dishes were brought to us. The chow mein was a little greasy for liking but had good flavor, veggie egg rolls had a great crisp, and both dumplings were good, definitely had the homemade taste. Not bad for a while in wall.... Work on service with a smile....

Delicious, family-run restaurant, with fast and practical service. Overall, quite simple, the food comes out quickly, but it's hot and fresh. I've been here twice now, and enjoyed the soup dumplings, and the chicken and chives dumplings, and the tofu as well. Everything was delicious and the prices are really quite reasonable and affordable for people of all income levels, which I appreciated the most. It makes it a great option for a lowkey first date! Therefore, I highly recommend getting takeout, or just coming in for a dine in. And afterwards, you can stroll through downtown Redwood City and enjoy the rest of your evening. :)

This restaurant is a pretty decent hole in the wall. I treated my godson for some dumplings, since he was craving dumplings. I was surprised at how many pieces you get per 1 order, which is 12 pieces! The chicken corn dumplings had nice flavor, the pork and shrimp dumplings my godson ate, he also enjoyed! Careful when you bite into it, it's piping hot! The egg fried rice was delicious. I didn't want to order more than what we had because it was a lot of food for two people already. Located on Broadway next to the barber shop, street parking you can easily find or there's a parking lot around the corner across from the Caltrain. There's plenty of indoor seating available. They also provide take-out. We didn't wait long for our food and service was good! I would be a returning customer :)

Basic home style food with no frills ambiance, hole in the wall, family business. Stumbled upon this place as we wanted a quick snack at 3 in the afternoon. Reasonably priced, limited menu, fresh ingredients. Flavor could be more intense, however adding the chili + soy sauce works. Will be back to try a few more dishes. Note, parking is a challenge and the cost is $1/hr with metering hours from 8-8.

Yes they do! It is 20 frozen dumplings per order. There are several different kinds on their online menu, ranging from $12 to $13.50 per order.

I think there were communication issues. there was some mix up with the tables and throughout the night after that our orders kept getting mixed up with not just one but two other tables. So we would see our food from afar being held in front of a group of servers where they would have a conversation over our plates of food for a few minutes then go to other tables, and try to give it to other tables before it finally got to us. The staff explained there was a mixup and due to that all the orders continued getting mixed up during our meal, but there was no acknowledgment otherwise or an attempt to make things right. I think because the group tip is already mandatory, there was no incentive on their end, perhaps. The bus staff are pretty available and responsive but limited in what they were allowed to assist with and the server was hard to flag down. Anyway onto the food. The clams linguine was flavorful. The crab Alfredo pasta had a lot of crab which was a pleasant surprise but a little lacking in flavor and a little on the sweet side with cream and crab notes. Cioppino was better than expected. Oysters were good and an okay price. Key lime pie was decent. I think 3.5-4 stars for the food (probably 4 at the happy hour rates!), 2 for service. Ambiance is a bit weird. Like somewhat upscale with some decor and high ceilings but not in others. Worthwhile to return for happy hour and may update review then!

Eating ice cream or your dessert while smelling bleaching and light were almost turned off is not pleasant at all and it ruined the dessert moment for me. The fish and shrimp in the ceviche were super fresh and had a perfect level of tanginess and spiciness. The mango and avocado were great additions. The pulpo salteados was filling and comforting, with the octopus and calamari being tender, and the potatoes being boiled down to be soft. The garlic butter sauce was delicious! The asado mixto, in my opinion, is the best dish to get, since there's a bit of everything on the menu, from beef to pork to chicken to shrimp. Everything was cooked to be tender, and it was a delicious bite to wrap everything in the corn tortillas. The molcajete salsa had a perfect kick of spice. I always enjoy a dish with veggies as well, and the zucchini and peppers were great with the molcajete. While on the pricier end for Mexican food, everything was tasty and service is friendly and fast. I was stuffed this time, but definitely want to come try the churros next time!

Chips are not complimentary, so we ordered Chips and Guacamole ($11) to start, and my goodness, it's been a while since I've had really amazing guacamole. It's fresh, it's chunky, it's a nice balance of other toppings - I was in love with it. We ended up ordering more chips (this time Chips & Salsa ($4)), because we had plenty of guacamole left over. The salsa was a nice roasted salsa, rich in flavor but not too spicy. The chips tasted homemade as well, as they weren't overly salted but had a nice crunch to them. They had plenty of homemade Aqua Frescas available, so I got the Strawberry Horchata one. I didn't realize they default to large ($7) from the start, as they also have small & medium. A little surprised by that, but the horchata was so good that I ended up being happy they gave me a large. We shared the Molcajete D. Carne ($40), which came with sides of rice, beans, and tortillas. The molcajete was huge - definitely plenty to share with at least 2 people! The meats were plenty flavorful and not overcooked, so they weren't chewy. It felt very authentic overall, and we were very content. Would definitely come back!

They were lightly battered, perfectly crispy, and honestly some of the best onion rings I've had in a while. I'd definitely come back just for those alone. Unfortunately, the fried zucchini sticks were just not very good. Not only were they very mushy on the inside, they also carried a strange aftertaste that I didn't enjoy at all.
