We all placed our order and had a delicious meal as usual. Baby spilled the lemonade and when we told them what had happened and requested a refill, They told us we had to pay for a new one. The food was good, but not worth the experience and poor service. My wife is allergic to dairy and when we got her coffee, it had milk in it. When we asked to have it switched out for almond milk they tried to charge her for a brand new drink, even though she only tasted it. The worst part was she just got out of surgery and could hardly talk. They embarrassed her in front of the entire restaurant. Very disappointed in their lack of humanity let alone service. read more

Unfortunately like everything else during Covid, this place has taken a turn for the worse. Food was not as good as before and felt uncomfortable that none of the staff were wearing masks. When I saw my waitress speaking all over my food when she raised the plate toward her face to open the door for some other patrons (without a mask on) I almost sent the food back. Good, quality food :) This place is a low-key hidden gem. It's small and fairly new so it doesn't get as much coverage as it deserves. What an amazing little place. We stumbled upon it staying in a hotel nearby. From the moment we walked in the staff and atmosphere were amazing. The staff was so friendly and attentive even after you paid at the counter they still came up and make sure your experience was excellent, refilling your glasses with whatever beverage you were drinking and pre-busing as you continue your meal. The food was on point and the cleanliness was amazing. I don't live in the area but if I ever come back to Miami I will 100% correct. Hats off to the staff and management!! read more

We love Chef Sucre Cafe, and I have been meaning to write this review for some time. Every item of food we've tried off the menu has been exquisite, and their coffees are likewise delectable. Somehow, the team there is even better(??!!) The reason I finally wrote this review: We have been in Miami for three months. For the past two months, my tiny little dog has been "over" the long walks; she now goes outside, does her business, and stands firm waiting until we start heading back inside (she's young but also tiny, less than 5 pounds, so her little leggies need to do a lot of moving to travel any substantial distance). Tonight, for whatever reason, she did her business and started walking, leading the way in fact. Intrigued, I followed. She kept going, and going. One block, two blocks, three blocks, four blocks. She walked right to Sucre. Unfortunately, it was night time, so nobody was there to give her the treat they always do when we come during business hours. She kept looking in, at one point barked at the place, and essentially refused to leave. I had to pick her up to walk her home. The dog is about a year and a half old and nothing like this has ever happened. I recommend the Colada, my girlfriend would recommend the Cortadito, and I'll bet whatever food you choose will be as good as any of that item you've ever had anywhere. The people are sooooooo nice. And, not for nothing, but pretty decent spot to see celebs being casual (please don't ruin it for them -- or, by extension, us!) Thanks Sucre! :) read more

I legit can't start the work day without stoping by here for my morning coffee. Each time I walk in everyone working here gladly greets and welcomes me in. Every day I get my cortadito and the coffee is perfectly blend of strong but still sweet. And if you're hungry make sure to order the Super Loaded Egg Muffin with a runny egg. This sandwich is loaded and by no means does this place skip out on the toppings. And an added treat they also serve bottomless mimosas during the work week! read more

My boyfriend and I have started going here every Saturday morning that we are available. The place is small and cute. I am always delighted with the service. It is unusual in Miami to find a place where people warmly greet you, make an effort to remember what you like to order, and genuinely seem to care about your overall experience. Perhaps the most charming part of the great service, is that the Chef himself greets you with a wave and a 'hello' from the kitchen, and often comes out to ask if you're enjoying our meal. The espresso is great, and the croissant is something I cannot even think about without immediately suffering from a desperate craving. I also personally love Sucre's Egg Soufflé. The most amazing part about this place, is that while it could easily be one of these pretentious, over-hyped, over-priced places in the Gables--it ISN'T! The warm service and casual atmosphere are anything but pretentious. The prices are very reasonable, which is another reason we go back again and again and again. Chef Sucre Cafe is a great place for brunch. I ordered a coffee, the egg soufflé and a croissant. The egg soufflé takes 15 minutes to prepare as it is made fresh and is completely worth it! I can't stress how good the croissant was - the perfect mix of crunchy and soft, it melted in my mouth. Prices were also very affordable with many items $10 and less. Metered parking is available right in front, as well as in another parking lot behind the cafe. I'll definitely be coming back for more croissants! read more
