Greek cuisine is one of my favorite cuisines and this place did not disappoint. The portions are huge! I split a pita platter and left completely stuffed. We got the chicken and it was so flavorful and had all those authentic Greek flavors I love. The fries were delicious, the tzatziki sauce was fire, and honestly everything we tried was so good. The staff was also amazing. Everyone was really helpful with recommendations and helping us figure out what to order. The inside is a little small, but they do have outdoor seating as well. This is honestly some of the most authentic Greek food I've had in Miami! Everything tasted so fresh, flavorful, and homemade, and the portions are amazing for the price. Oh my gosh! This is truly authentic Greek food right off the spit! As soon as you walk in there is lamb pork and chicken in the spit. It smells amazing. You can see the whole station of them cooking like a chipotle. Their club sandwich was awesome. Tzatziki was killer and don't get me started on the fries!! I would 1000% go back. Okay, so this place is called My Cousin Nick, which already made me laugh because I actually dated a Greek guy named Nick once....and let's just say this restaurant definitely doesn't suck like he did. Hands down, one of the best gyros I've ever had. The chicken was wild...somehow crispy like bacon strips but still juicy and loaded with flavor. They pile it high with perfectly seasoned fries . All the inside tables were full but by the time we decided what to get and got the food, a few spots opened up. We were informed they were out of chicken and pork, but still had plenty of lamb. Wow this was the absolutely best gyro had and their Greek garlic aïoli sauce hit the spot!!! wow I was completely amazed at all of that was only $14 and I feel so full from it and it was all so so so good and I figured out how to eat the Gyro and get the fries in the meat all at the same time! Wow just wow! When I heard about My Cousin Nick I ran not walked to try it and was not the least bit disappointed. Your girl loves a good gyro or Greek salad with gyro meat. Is it expensive yes, is it worth it yes! The gyro is bigger than my head, my boyfriend had it and he said was really god but it is pretty hard to eat. Once you have it in your hands you have to commit to not put it down. I had the Greek salad and added lamb. It was also huge! I had enough for two meals, and next time will ask for the meat on the side just to make it a little easier to mix all together. Finally tried this place and don't believe all the hype. Yes it's really good but I wouldn't say it's the best gyro I've ever had. I will say the nice thing about this place is that the owners and employees are authentically Greek. The gyro was great just really greasy. The bowls are a lot and full of sauces. Its pricey, but for the amount of food u get, it's worth it. My favorite thing was the bottled lemonade which is from Greece. Come hungry - you won't need to eat until dinner after one of these big sandwiches! Very reasonably priced; I got the Gyro sandwich for $13. I wanted to try the hummus so they had a side of that. I think it was $2 dollars and an extra pita for $1 dollar. Very reasonable prices for Coral Gables. The wrap had french fries that were super tasty. I was excited to try this place even though it is in Coral Gables where parking is scarce, but I felt a little disappointed after trying it. There's a lot of hype going on right now for this place, it was even written up in the Coral Gables magazine for Beaux Arts festival, but it turned out to be nothing out of the ordinary in my opinion. The employees are very friendly and nice, but simply put it wasn't all that. There are a few other restaurants around serving this fare that I prefer. We ordered the lamb Gyro and it comes stuffed with thin french fries. Overall, the taste was pleasant, but the meat was dry and it was salty. I would try it again, it's not that it's bad but a little more expensive than what you would pay at other restaurants serving gyros and it's too salty. read more
