My coworker was raving about Chef's Corner's Mexican Pizza and I totally loved it when I got to try it. So much so that I purchased a whole pizza to take home to my family. This pizza has beans, cheese, red onions, jalapeño, chorizo, and a delicious crust! They had it ready for me within 20 minutes! It was super scrumptious! Sidebar: The best part about this place is their honesty. I left my credit card when I paid for the pizza and they called me right away to let me know and placed the card in a safe place until I was able to pick it up. So grateful! Terrible food! The pastas have no flavor and the person I spoke to o the phone was so rude to me. I ordered on door dash and DoorDash said that they use their own drivers so I called because it had been more than 35 minutes and I live up the street and the guy said that oh the delivery driver already left I said OK can you call him and give me an estimated time and he said oh just wait 10 more minutes and it was just so ridiculous he was just being so freaking rude and then when we got the pasta they were disgusting and the lasagna had sausage on it and in it and it doesn't say anything about having sausage and My Son doesn't eat pork. We have had a lot of pies made here. Mostly pepperoni. They have been all exactly the same. Delicious. Plenty of pepperoni, cheese, the crust has great flavor and not too thick. My favorite is the sauce. Peppery. Delicious. Price is reasonable. Recently stepped up to a Supreme (L). Best pizza in San Pedro. And pizza is my top 2 favorite foods. Had to give it a try seeing all the mixed reviews. The pizza was good. Tried the breadsticks, they have seasoning, would just recommend using the marinara sauce or ranch, they are some beefy sized sticks. The Cesar salad is good for the price, lettuce was fresh and had tomatoes and mini croutons. I agree that they RIP PEOPLE OFF here. Make sure what they charge actually matches the rates on the menu. This happened to me and my neighbor. There are plenty of other pizza places in town to choose from. Stay away from this dirty corner. They add hidden charges and leave things out of your order. When you drive all the way back to get what they left out, they act like they don't know what you are talking about. What a shame. The only way to get them to refund what they overcharged is to give the food back and let them know you will DISPUTE the charge with your bank and get the money back that way. All of the sudden they understand what was overcharged and decide to try and fix the issue. It should not be this difficult to run an honest business. This place needs to get out of Pedro read more

Don't give them cash or they will screw you over. I ordered a pizza with breadsticks. I saw them ring it up on the register. The breadsticks were an extra $3 or so. I give them a $20 bill and get back $5 and a quarter change. I wasn't supposed to a quarter but I just thought they couldn't do math when I realized they gave me extra change. But it's just a couple cents. So, when I come back to pick up my pizza I only see the one box. I ask where's the bread sticks. The guy looked at me like he's stoned taking a few seconds to process and realized I noticed they left out my breadsticks. He then said "oh I didn't charge you, you wanna get them?... oh I can make it you just have to wait 10 more minutes" No I don't want to wait and I saw his trick. First time here and I won't be coming back. Pizza is below average I ate it cuz I was hungry nothing fancy. I have been living in San Pedro for a minute. I noticed that there is no shortage of pizza spots, and I've tried all of them ... or at least I thought! This place slipped through the cracks, and I'm so glad I found it! My order was placed through Postmates. Big shout out to the little homie who biked my food to me! I ordered the special that came with a Gigante Pizza, 8 wings, and a bottle of Pepsi! The pizza is giant, and when you open it up, you are greeted with a big cheesy pizza cut into squares. It didn't look like much at first, but it was cooked perfectly. Not much grease, the dough was soft, and the cheese coated the pizza beautifully. The wings, I thought I got BBQ, but whatever the hell flavor they are, it was perfectly cooked with spices and all. I do not usually hop on to make recommendations right away. I ordered a medium pizza and some chicken wings. Everything was delicious! I ordered via phone and spoke with a nice gentleman that took my order. Less than 30 minutes later, I had my food. I highly recommend this place. As stated by another yelper, their dough is not as doughy as that of other places. Honestly, this is one of the best pizzas I've ever had. I was very skeptical at first because of the location, I usually hate places on Gaffey because Gaffey is a piece of shit street. Honestly this is the best example for "don't judge the book by the cover"! It's like a hidden gem for American style pizza lovers in the area. To me the highlight is their dough and simple but tasty sauce. And the last but not least Chef's corner pizzas are unbelievably INEXPENSIVE. To me all together rating for this place is 4.2 out of 5 but I give them a bright shining 5* because I feel this is one of the most underrated businesses/pizzerias in San Pedro. It's to hot and takes over 15 minutes to cool and when that process is finished the cheese slides right of the pizza and you are stuck with dough and crummy marinara sauce. After the disaster of a take-out pizza place that previously inhabited this location I was very happy to see it had been re-opened by another owner. My boyfriend and I walked around the corner from our apartment. This location is practically right on our doorstep, which made it easy to walk in and pick up a pizza. And let's talk about fast. Under twenty minutes from the time that we placed the order to the time we walked out the door with a hot pizza. NOW for the reasons for the negative ratings. I consider myself to have an extremely strong stomach. I love and have a lot of appreciation for a good "hole in the wall" place. And I'll admit the prices were low, in fact they were the lowest prices for pizza I had ever seen. But the pizza was sub par. Their pizzas are all thin crust and it's not to say that thin crust isn't good. Thin crust can be crunchy and nice and also it has far less calories then a regular crust pizza. But the problem I have always seen with a thin crust is finding that gentle medium between a delicious thin crust and a cut-out piece of cardboard. Guess what this one was? The cardboard pizza was okay. Toppings were very very lightly applied. I only had two mushroom slices and two pieces of sausage on any given slice of pizza. I'm a girl who love her toppings and having no toppings was a big turn off. So the pizza, or should I say cardboard with very light sauce tons of cheese and few toppings on top did not meet my expectations. On top of all this, within two hours of eating this pizza, my boyfriend and I both developed sore throats, headaches, light fevers and upset stomachs. Now, I'm not one to say that crazier things haven't ever happened. And maybe it's just coincidence, but I doubt it. I will not ever go back to this location ever.
