My group and I went here on a Sunday night around 7 pm. There was no wait. The main dining area has a little wall with a cute heart and lights. We ended up sitting in the bar section area to watch the World Cup game. Service was initially slow to get our orders, but once we placed our orders, food came out relatively quick. And our waters were filled very frequently. The staff were friendly and nice. While we waited for our main entrees to come, we were given a basket of bread and butter, bruschetta, and some kind of bell pepper appetizer. We had the following food items (in more simplified terms): chicken pesto, lasagna, and carbonara. Each entree also came with a simple salad. We thought the carbonara was a bit too creamy, which made it have a heavier taste than we expected. Lasagna was okay, I personally didn't eat too much of it. The chicken pesto was good and was probably my preferred dish out of the 3 that I tried. We also ate tiramisu. I personally do not like tiramisu (since I don't like coffee flavored things), but the cake itself was moist and the cream did not taste too sweet. The have bread, salad and some bell peppers before your meal comes out and all three are excellent. We ordered calamari fritti for an appetizer and it was a good portion and crisp and hot! I wish I had taken a photo but we were too hungry. We ordered the chicken pesto penne and the linguine with clams and they are also are generously portioned and delicious! The place looks like they have an upstairs room for events and another room for events. They have a bar with a tv and the patrons are couples and families. Best italian food in San Pedro! We were in town for a work conference and made last minute reservations for Wednesday at 6pm. We got right in after finding cheap parking across the street. For food, I got a modified dish (gnoochi with Alfredo) and a salad with ranch. My teammates got all different types of food and they all loved it. They got the house dressing in their salad and we all agreed that this salad was abnormally delicious. The free bruschetta they give and marinated veggies was such a nice treat in the beginning. I've gone here several times over the years. We've even had events here in the banquet rooms. The food is always great. I was here recently and we got a complimentary tiramisu because they initially gave me the wrong plate but quickly fixed it. That's great service. My one complaint is that in our last event, the bar tenders would not serve anyone in our party espresso martinis. We weren't given a reason other than they couldn't. This is a great family spot in the PV area. I just moved here and am exploring new restaurants. The vibe is so much less stressful than LA proper. Parking was easy and seating was ready, while still having a full restaurant. They provide complimentary salad, bruschetta and bread and roasted red peppers. The carbonara and the lasagna were delicious. The staff were very friendly and their diet coke was perfect. The seafood was not our favorite, but didn't ruin our evening. Parking is either metered on the street or limited spaces in lots or walk to structures a block or so away. Ambiance is classic Italian and we were located in the banquet room. When I worked in San Pedro, we used to frequent this place for lunch and had the majority of our company Christmas lunches there. That was at the old location on 4th and Pacific. This is my first time eating here in many years and the first time at the new location. The new restaurant is beautiful, really well done. The bar area is much larger and very welcoming. I took a peek at the back banquet room too. Also very nice. So, the food... it's just what I remembered. Everything our party ordered was delicious. The portion sizes are generous. Enough that you'll be taking food home. The meal includes a salad and bread with marinaded red bell peppers and bruschetta.. the service was excellent and the staff was very friendly, but that is exactly how I remember it. The prices are really reasonable especially for the amount of food they give you. The restaurant is kind of small and intimate but definitely gets packed. The restaurant is on the noisy side but I don't mind that at all. I got the seafood pasta and my wife had the spaghetti and meatballs. It was almost empty when we arrived about 5pm and was full by the time we left. Music is average. Lights dimmed up and down a few times during our visit but it wasn't bad or disruptive. This is our first time here in their new building. It is located in downtown San Pedro. It has a very fresh and new look. It is a lively place so best to make reservations. I ordered the Rigatoni Alla Porcara. It was absolutely delicious. The flavors of the sauce were on point. I really enjoyed the combination of the sausage and the bacon. I'll definitely order this again. They bring fresh Parmesan cheese and offer it you. Of course I said yes and added just a touch of extra flavor. My daughter ordered the Gnocchi Al Pomodoro. She loves gnocchi and this dish did not disappoint. It was pillowy and light. The sauce shined in this dish. ( I tasted it too.) My husband ordered the Pollo Alla Parmigiana. It was perfectly crisp with the right amount of sauce. The fresh vegetables were cooked well with a great bite still in it. The mashed potatoes were delicious. Personally, I would have preferred it with a side of pasta, but it was still good. We ordered two desserts. The Bomba that had Spumoni ice cream on the inside with a chocolate coating on the outside. The ice cream was delicious and the chocolate coating was a yummy addition. The second was a Tiramisu. The mascarpone was light and not too sweet. Absolutely delicious with an extremely generous portion sizing. I loved it. The chicken was also well cooked and absorbed the flavours well. Service was awesome. Was attended to and my water was always filled up without having to ask anyone. Asked us to move tables because of a reservation issue and it was not a problem, but they were nice enough to compensate us. This was even before our dishes came out. The new location is much larger and more spacious. Doesn't feel as cramped and a lot of air moving through. Value was excellent. You get so much food for what you pay and it's delicious. After deliberation, we decided on the chicken parm and spaghetti with pink sauce along with the Linguini alla Pescatora (seafood linguine) - nice light sauce with lots of seafood! Pink sauce was savory and creamy. Portions are so big and the price point - can't beat it. What made our service great was our waiter Giorgio, gave us his recs for food and wine. He even brought out hot pepper flakes (yum) for us and a bowl of parm- this place means business! At the end, he welcomed us for joining them for the first time and helped us pack our food up but not before a complimentary tiramisu. Now I'm not a wet cake person, but this tiramisu was devine...
