Dr Chehrazi is the type of physician you hope you never have to see, but if you have a neurological emergency, you're glad he's there. Unfortunately, I experienced a brain hemmorage which required immediate assessment and prompt treatment. After several trips to the emergency room at Mercy Hospital of Folsom the staff finally detected the brain hemmorage, and immediately transferred me, by ambulance, to Sutter Hospital in Roseville for emergency treatment. Later, I was told by many medical professionals that the swift decisions and skillful treatment provided by Dr Chehrazi was life-saving. I spent more time than I would have preferred in the ICU, but every intervention was expertly managed and precise care was delivered by Dr Chehrazi.
Years later my father-in-law was placed on life support at UC Davis Medical Center following a brain hemmorage, and when I heard Dr Chehrazi would be arriving in four hours I knew the best physician was assigned to the case...but the wait time informed the outcome wasn't going to be as successful as my recovery. He didn't come back home.
There are very few neurological specialists in the Sacramento area with the level of expertise equivalent to Dr Chehrazi. This means emergency intervention and treatment must be prioritized, by patient, depending on the crisis, and caseload. You may have to wait for standard office appointments, but know the delay is likely due to crisis treatment desperately needed by someone else in a critical condition.
