We haven't been here in a long long time. Hour entire family was excited because they recently changed ownership and wanted to support them as we have known the new owners for a while. However I got to keep this honest. The only positive of this was the restaurant was clean. Everything else was terrible. They are definitely not ready for business. The waitress was super slow, disorganized, and disoriented. We had 6 booths. After 25 min of being there is when she decided to take the order of just one booth and went back to the counter/coffee station to just stand there. Finally, they came to give us water. About 35 min in and they took the order of the remainder 5 booths. Coffee and drinks never came so some of us in the party walked up to the counter and got the drinks and coffee ourselves. some time passed and only parts of the order for one booth started to arrive. For example, someone got their toast before their meal. Another person just got a side of bacon. Another person got a pancake and a couple of eggs. Not one completed order. Anyway, after almost 2 hours we couldn't take it anymore and decided to leave. I left $15 for the 3 coffees and scrambled eggs we got in our booth (the eggs were missing the sausage and potatoes). Then one of the ladies working there started arguing with us and blaming the machine that can only do 3 orders at a time. We didn't really want to argue back because it was already a terrible experience. But she kept on and we politely had to tell her she was wrong and some words were exchanged that truly were unacceptable from a business that is supposed to attend to patrons. Long story short, we left they chased us outside to continue to argue but how long does it take to make 13 scrambled eggs? I really want them to succeed since this place has been there for over 40 years, but they got a lot of work to do and fix the problem with nasty attitude from staff. We'll be back when they find their footing and hopefully I'll change the rating, but for now it's a no go for us. read more

We went here for breakfast and it was bad across the board. Food was shockingly bad. The only edible breakfast food was the fries (the only food with seasoning). Huevos Rancheros was a fried egg on top of white rice with shredded cheese with no salsa. Hollandaise sauce on eggs Benedict was curdled. Service was extremely slow. We were one of 3 tables and we waited 45 minutes for our food for a table of 4. It was not a holiday weekend. We waited an hour for our water to be refilled. They came to our table 5 times for clarifying questions when we did not modify our dishes and ordered from the menu. It felt like the place was given a menu without any understanding of how to make the dishes. I don't know how their dinner is but I cannot recommend this place for breakfast. Update: In response to the owner, I went on a Saturday and was given a menu. We ordered the food listed in my review and my review is accurate to our experience. I've been coming to this place since I was a little girl and in all honesty the past few times I came it had sadly gone down in quality with the last time it not being open at all. That being said I came with my family, a large party, to celebrate my mothers birthday and we all had a great time. They accommodated all of us and the food was fresh and yummy. They brought out a speaker put music on for us and gave us. Yummy tiramisu. Sadly, I don't remember the waitresses or chefs names but they were all very nice. What was once an iconic staple of Hialeah to go and consistently enjoy a good breakfast with great service has turned to a chaotic ambience and a less than enjoyable experience. My fiancé and his family had been dining here for 30 years and never have they left unsatisfied. Today however that experience has changed. The service was probably the biggest issue here. The waitresses were unfortunately either not trained properly or completely inexperienced as they were running around and looked lost the majority of the time. Our food was not the best either - the cheese on my ranch skillet was not melted entirely. Allegedly American bread and Cuban bread is one of the sides that's come with the dish but no - you are charged $2.50 for the Cuban bread which I never received. I asked for it several times and when she saw us get up and leave she just said "sorry!". My son had a waffle but after many attempts to get our waitresses attention we had to yell at the waitress "EXCUSE ME" for her to look up at us to ask for more coffee and get syrup for his waffles. You know when you want to like a place, because you see that it is under new management and changing..that they have a new dish that blows you away but another that's not so good? I'd eaten here before, for breakfast after an overnight in my office. Having just powernapped that night, their french toast still rings a tasty bell. As another reviewer noted, I also remembered the dark older decor. I was pleasantly surprised when I drove by and saw the "Under New Management" & "100 Craft Beers" signs and an updated color scheme. The vibe was an older crowd, especially with the Karaoke selections. I did hear a Don Sinatra track in there so I won't complain about that. If I had just ordered their Buffalo Chicken egg rolls I would have been a happy man and this review at least one or two stars higher. Served on a bed of lettuce, these were 4 or 5 breaded pieces of chicken and a spicy dipping side of cream cheese and an additional side of buffalo sauce for an extra kick. But I also ordered their bacon cheeseburger.. I didn't ask for tomato and lettuce on it because I was under the impression that such are default toppings on a burger. Yes I ordered it medium well, but in my past experience that does not equal overly crispy. I've ordered plenty of medium well burgers that were juicy. This one I had to leave half eaten. I mentioned it to my waitress afterward, but I'm leery of sending food back. I suppose it would have been nice to be offered a dessert menu, but that didn't happen. We were visiting Hialeah over the weekend and found this restaurant on Google. So we decided to try the restaurant. We ordered a burger, oxtails, Lomo Saltado and salad. We were told they had no mayo and mustard; the menu descriptions needed to say what was in the dish correctly. The meat in the saltado was overcooked, the only thing good in that dish were the sides (black beans and fries). The oxtails were very salty, the corn was not seasoned and overcooked, and the only thing good about that dish was the rice. The salad, the cobb, had olives different from what the menu said was on it, the chicken was overdone and not seasoned, the best thing was the fries. The nachos as the appetizer was good. Always seen it, passed by it, but never gave it too much thought. Boy were we glad we ate there! First of all, our waiter, Orlando, super nice guy. Very helpful with the menu and answering our questions. My husband had the churrasco steak with 2 sunny side up eggs, potatoes and it came with pico de gallo. His steak was perfectly cooked ( medium well) was savory and full of flavor. He killed his dish! Left nothing behind. I had a chicken steak, green beans and fries. It had more sides but these were the ones I chose. Again, savory, full of flavor. Simple dishes but cooked very tasty. Tasted like a home cooked meal. We also had the homemade pecan pie! The Ranch House is a hidden gem in the city of Hialeah. This has to be one of my favorite spots to have an all American breakfast in the middle of an all Latin community. The diner went under new management last year, when I began to go in to have breakfast with my family. When you walk in to the diner it is setup with the old school tables and seats from the previous owners but that is perfectly fine because it gives it a feel to the place. They serve both breakfast and lunch and have added many new things to the menu as I have previously read and heard. What I enjoy about this spot is that they have a vast selection of different omelet styles to choose from and waffles with different toppings, which I love. They usually give us a complimentary plate with fruits to much on before you order your meal. The orange juice is always good and it's natural squeezed. The service is good, the waiters usually pass by numerous times to see if the customers need any more coffee. I usually like to have the Sunrise special which is available until 10AM. It's your classic breakfast, which includes a waffle with two eggs and two sausage links, bacon or ham. If not, the meat omelet is also a good go-to. Today, my fiancé had the "Chef's Special Skillet" which has; pan fried house potatoes, corn beef hash, grilled onions and is smothered in cheddar jack cheese topped with two eggs any style. It was amazing!! Great food, great service and great food, what more can you ask for? read more

One coke $4.99 only the rest of us had water, Small piece of apple pie w/very small scoop of Ice cream $7.50, small brownie w/ ice cream $7.50. 3 orders of Meatloaf, 1 chicken & yellow rice, 1 Lomo salteado. Took a chance seeing this place from the road. It's an older cafe style place for sure, but very clean, no bad smells and the atmosphere is inviting. Coffee and service are excellent! Ordered eggs on a burger patty medium rare. High product quality seems to be a cornerstone philosophy for this business. The ground beef and tomatoes were both very high quality and the patty was cooked perfectly medium rare. It would seem that this place has been unfairly reviewed in the past, I see no evidence of the negative comments. If I was lucky enough to have this restaurant in my neighborhood I would have breakfast here 3 times a week for sure! read more

This restaurant should be ashamed. I ordered the 2-2-2 and a side of biscuits and gravy. I even paid extra for bell pepper, mushroom and cheese to be added to my scrambled eggs. The bacon was missing from my 2-2-2. The biscuits were completely burned. Black on top and bottom! I can't believe any restaurant would even consider serving them. Unfortunately I ordered delivery so there was no sending them back. I'm super disappointed because i wanted to try more things on their menu, but I can't see myself ordering from here again given that not only was I missing items but the biscuits were just so burnt. read more

Coming to this restaurant my expectations were not high. I came solely because My friend and I were hungry and didn't want to drive far. The hostess welcomed us in a warm, friendly manner. The waitress let me know that the turkey sausage would be on its way. Halfway through with my meal, I locked eyes with the waitress, and she forgot about my turkey sausages. When she brought them to the table and they were not hot as if they came off the stove, but a mild warm. After time elapsed, she never checked up on us once. And I noticed that the same service was given to the other tables she was waiting. I am a very easy-going guy, and I understand that working in a restaurant is no easy task. However there is a certain level that I find acceptable. If my drink can just go refilled, that is more than half the work. I do not ask for the world, but a friendly attitude and somewhat willingness goes a long way. Our waitress almost seemed as if she did not care about anything. Thank God for the hostess. She attended to my friend and I and provided me a refill. After finishing a portion of my meal, which I may add did not even meet the already mediocre expectations, I found a hair below my hashbrowns. At that point I stopped eating. All in all there were only three high points to my meal. The hostess, my hashbrowns (before the hair), and my glass of water. Even though I know service varies, I would not come back. The food was not good, in my opinion. The price for the quality, I do not find reasonable. There is no reason for me to ever visit this establishment again. read more

It was pretty drab and lackluster as far as decor, something you'd probably run into somewhere in 1950's Bent Fork, Tennessee (if you don't get the i love Lucy reference, we cant be friends). The food was pretty basic diner staples that were great but not too exciting. The restaurant had recently been taken over by a father son team and they changed the game....CHANGED THE GAME! First and foremost the updated the look, not drastically, but if you'd been in here before you'd be able to tell off the bat they put in an effort to make it look better and thats appreciated. They recently did a complete overhaul of the menu and everything look so delicious. Today was my first time experiencing the new menu and got the buffalo chicken eggrolls which were the bomb.com and I cant wait to try more. Last but certainly not least they now have beer, 99 craft beers in the bottle to be exact, NINETY NINE. Beers you usually have to drive to wynwood or fort lauderdale to get, are a hop skip and a jump away from me now. Worst experience ever. Upon eating our meal I noticed bugs in the pepper shaker. I poured the pepper out on a napkin and several bugs crawled out. When I showed the waitress she brought us the bill and told me to leave it alone. She returned to the table and demanded payment. When we requested the manager to complain of bugs and waitress attitude, we were told he was busy with payroll. The customer sitting in the booth next to us started yelling at us for complaining. Apparently, the waitress was a family member. The manager came out grabbed the bugs and told us to leave. He then followed us out to offer us dinner on a different night. read more
