Upon reading my original review, she reached out immediately (I didn't even make it to the soak off appointment I had made for the same day) offering a partial refund and to redo my mani/pedi. I went in the next day to get my nails redone and I cannot emphasize how great my experience was. Masiel is an absolutely incredible nail tech, taking her time and paying extreme attention to detail. My baby toenail is almost nonexistent and she not only painted it, but French tipped it!!!! My original pedicure wasn't even French tipped, she just offered to do it since I mentioned I'd never had them before! I was astounded. On top of being skilled and knowledgeable, she is funny and friendly. The tech who did my services originally, apologized, and mentioned that she's working with Veronica to make sure whatever happened before, doesn't happen again. I was so touched by how everyone cares so much about their customers and the work they do. My previous review stated I wouldn't give this business any more money, a statement which I now HEAVILY retract. I would 100% return here because if something were to go wrong, I know they would bend over backwards to fix the problem and make sure I'm satisfied as a customer. In the few times I've been in, there have been multiple regulars around me who all seem right at home in the salon, on first name basis with the other techs and employees. If I lived in Dallas, I would definitely make this my regular salon too.

I expected a relaxing experience, but instead it felt more like a chore for her. On top of that,and this is the part that matters the most to me -is that the gel polish started chipping after only 4 days! She only put on 2 super thin coats. The nail tech gave three different prices for gel addition, said 20, then 15 then kept switching it up. I got regular polish on my toes and just stayed with gel manicure because she couldn't get the price right on the feet and I felt so uncomfortable. I have to cut my nails short and asked specifically for her not to let the edges get squared and she left one of my nails intentionally square. I clipped it myself after she kept saying "yeah yeah I know I know" it was such a surprise to hear the rudeness and blatant rude remarks. I asked to speak with a manager at the end of the job and she spent a little time working on my hands then went to sit down and said she'd do my nails at the end. She got another client so I asked someone if they could do my gel manicure because I'd been there a long time and didn't want to do the whole thing after my pedicure. One woman said she had an appointment, they asked a younger woman to do it and she shook her head. I finally said I'd leave without my manicure getting done just the pedicure and they said okay they'll do it. It seemed like everything was fine but my gel manicure came out terrible. It looked relatively fine when I left but now there are ripples. This has never happened with a gel manicure. I did notice they were frequently using a polish shaking machine, so I'm sure their gel polish may be heavily diluted. The toes of course chipped same day but that's because they're regular polish. I'm just so surprised at the poor customer service and poor job.

We agreed on the length she cut them to and then she chopped the sides way down. As she filed they kept getting shorter and shorter. I told her twice they were two short. She ignored me. I then told her they were the shortest nails I've ever had. She did not care. At payment the manager asked how my experience was. I said I was ignored and the nails were much shorter than I had asked for. She said Oh and processed my payment. Never had to do a charge back in my life but will be for this. It was small studio single-service chairs and very clean and neat and yes mask is required which I prefer to wear at nail shops anyway because of the strong toxic smells. BUT GUESS WHAT!! at Nail Flush Jay doesn't use any toxic products... HOW AMAZING. Her attentiveness to details was superb! as well as keeping conversation while I was working on my phone following up text and booking appointments. etc... She is also a perfect photographer I saved the photo as her Caller Id Pic and posted it here and on my Social Media @shesamples and Facebook connection. The staff was very welcoming, and we appreciated that they told us the pricing upfront--no surprises there. The drinks were a nice touch, and the salon had a friendly and clean atmosphere. My nail tech was very kind and clearly a perfectionist. She did get a little frustrated when I moved my hand, but I could tell it came from wanting everything to be just right, which I appreciated. At one point, I told her I felt a burning sensation on one of my nails, and she immediately applied a calming spray, which helped. Unfortunately, my best friend didn't receive the same level of care. During her appointment, she mentioned that her nails felt hot while the acrylic was being applied. Her tech said that happens sometimes, which we understand, as it's not unusual. But several hours later, my friend's nails are still hurting her, and she was not offered anything to soothe the discomfort, unlike I was. It feels like her concerns weren't really addressed in the moment. Additionally, she asked for a tapered square shape, but the tech told her she should ask for coffin nails next time. We know what a tapered square looks like, so that exchange felt unnecessarily dismissive. Another reason for the rating drop is that we were charged for "length"--but we both got fairly short nails. We even posted photos because it's unclear where that extra charge came from. I'm not expecting a refund, and I understand that a salon in downtown Dallas will likely cost more, but with higher pricing should come a more consistent quality of service. While parts of the experience were positive, the discomfort my friend is still dealing with, along with the shape miscommunication and unclear pricing, made this visit fall short of expectations.

Even when things haven't gone perfectly in the past, my nails still turned out great about 90% of the time. So I was genuinely taken aback by today's experience or at least part of it. First, let me give credit where it's due: Louis, you killed it as always. Your dedication, your artistry, and your commitment to giving the best possible service never go unnoticed. Even though the cat-eye design wasn't possible this time, my nails still look amazing because of your skill and professionalism. Thank you for consistently showing pride in your work. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same about my pedicure experience. I came in with a clear vision and even showed the design the same one Louis understood immediately but the nail tech doing my pedicure could not execute it. After five attempts, I was almost sent out the door with something that looked like a tic‑tac‑toe board. At that point, I had to advocate for myself and say, "No, this is not what I asked for," and request that it be removed and replaced with a simple cat-eye. What made it worse was the lack of basic care. He didn't even clean around the toes properly you can still see black and dark blue around the nail beds. That alone shows a lack of attention and professionalism. What frustrated me most wasn't just the inability to do the design it was the lack of honesty. Instead of admitting he didn't know how to do it, he was willing to let me leave with a kindergarten-level design and still pay full price for a service that wasn't delivered. Even after the correction, I left very dissatisfied and disappointed with the pedicure overall. And yes, like I always do, I still paid and tipped generously. But I will not be returning. I'm nobody's fool, and I refuse to be taken advantage of. To Louis, thank you for your outstanding work, your consistency, and your genuine customer care. You are the reason I stayed as long as I did.
