Unprofessional behavior and total lack of respect! I had a very uncomfortable experience with this company today, April 9, 2026 A simple request for shoe covers (which I require for health reasons) resulted in the technician getting angry and storming out of my house mid-conversation. While the staff later claimed his refusal was due to a past injury, there was absolutely no excuse for that type of behavior--especially since I told them I was willing to accommodate the shoes-on policy once they explained it. The technician did return to my door to apologize a few minutes later, but the initial level of rudeness was a total dealbreaker. I did not feel comfortable moving forward with the service. If you value professional communication and respect for your home, look elsewhere. read more

We all put off our wall to wall carpet cleaning, sometimes too long! Today we were very fortunate to have Greg and Mary from ChemDry stop by with their magical and powerful cleaning system to take on the chore. Visits from the grand kids and their big Labrador Cooper created a challenge only ChemDry was capable of completing. Mary and Greg took to the taste in hand and started making our entire 2nd floor Berber wall to wall stand proudly once again. small stains we were worried about, were GONE and our large square area of light colored rug restored to its like new condition. A Scheduling Headache We booked an April carpet cleaning with Chem-Dry of Cape Cod, capecodcleancarpet.com, in February to be ready for the summer rental season. Three weeks after scheduling the date, they called and asked if we would change our time to accommodate one of their regular customers. We agreed, and rescheduled for a new day. The day before our service, we messaged them to confirm that they were coming. They confirmed, so we spent half a day removing all furniture from our space and prepping for their 8:30 am arrival the next day. The next day at 8:30 am, they informed us they couldn't make it, but they could come in three days. At this point we had furniture on the lawn, they had canceled on us twice, and we could no longer wait. We ended up doing it ourselves, with rental equipment from Ace Hardware, and even saved some money. read more

We recently moved to the Cape from the Chicago area. The rug in the finished basement was a disaster and we thought we would try cleaning it before replacing it. We called ChemDry of Cape Cod in Harwich. They worked us in so we could have it cleaned before the movers came. Not only do we no longer need new carpeting, but the carpet now looks amazing! Mary who oversees the office and scheduling was very friendly and hard working to help us schedule before the movers came. UPDATE: Chem Dry just returned to our house to clean a heavily stained Klaussner couch and they did an incredible job. It looks showroom new after they left. Really personable and hard working technicians. I've used this company three times and had the same technician (Robbie) each time. I've had a few challenges each time and he worked hard. This round he brought another technician with him (Tim) whom he was training. Tim worked very hard too. I've been very satisfied with all the work done by Chem-Dry...both furniture cleaning and rug cleaning. I would definitely recommend them to a friend. Also, I had my contractor here yesterday and she saw my estimate sheet and said, "That's a really good company. They are good, hard working people and their prices are very fair." Beware of this company. We paid a fortune to have rugs cleaned and asked for the area rugs to be relaid. We told the company we needed two guys because there was heavy furniture to move. They assured us no problem just an extra cost which we said was fine. When they got here one of the guys (Greg) refused to lay the biggest rug because it had a pad and was going under a bed that had two twin adjustable platforms (not that heavy). Edward was very helpful and appeared willing to do the work but Greg got very indignant almost the minute he walked in the room and saw the pad and said he was not doing it. He said he had to call the office and then told me they would not do the work because of liability. I told him we would would assume any liability but just to please help us. Greg refused saying he had to follow "company policy." They "kindly" waived the relaying fee (considering they did not do it!!) had me pay the bill and left us with a total mess. Needless to say we will never use them again and use whatever recourse we have to warn others. read more

If I could do NO STARS I would! This company destroyed our furniture. We had them clean our living room rug, stairs and landing. We also had them clean our furniture, sofa, love seat and chair. When they were finished everything was SOAKED! The reason we went for Chem dry was the fact this company guarantees dry in ONE to TWO HOURS! Ya right! The next day our furniture and rugs were still so wet we couldn't walk or sit on anything. I called the company and they sent the guys who did it back who just said they didn't know why it was still wet and just offered to leave some high powered fans to help dry it, I declined because I had fans of my own I could run to try and dry it. After TWO MORE DAYS of everything still damp we also realized they charged us more than we were quoted because they supposedly scotch guarded our furniture when we didn't ask them to. My husband called and spoke to the owner who basically had no answer as to why our rugs and furniture would still be wet after 3 days and offered to credit us back for the scotch guard that we never asked for,so we would have got that for free. We agreed because at this point we were so annoyed as the whole reason we wanted to do chem dry was how fast it dried. Right away we were noticing any drop of water or any "wet" that got on our furniture it was leaving water stains that don't go away. Not wanting to deal with this company again we didn't bother contacting them because we didn't want them back in our house anyway. Until we noticed our beige colored furniture is now taking on a dirty look, and water stains every where. We have had this furniture over 9 years and it still looked amazing when we hired Whalen to clean them and were just doing it to freshen them up! We had them scotch guarded when we bought them and instead of Whalen scotch guarding them again they must have done something to not only remove what we had but sure as heck didn't add any more. Our furniture now looks horrible, with a dirty look and water stains everywhere that will not go away. We tried calling the owner back to ask what they may have done for this to happen and he will not call us back. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY THEY ARE HORRIBLE!!! read more
