This little brewery in Richmond is awesome! We enjoyed our beers and ciders. Extremely casual, serve yourself type of place. We ordered in our favorite pizza but they typically have food trucks there. We brought along our Backgammon board and played a few games of Backgammon. The ambience is low-key, the music was good and they also supply a lot of board games. There is a small amount of outdoor seating. Damnedest thing, you can bring a pizza or a hamburger from somewhere else and order up a beer and sit down at their tables. I've never seen that before but it's definitely a plus for them. read more

3 our kids went to EKU, We made our 1st trip to this brewery last weekend. I was pleasantly surprised with quality & choices. Most of breweries around young kids are mostly IPA's. Love there Kentucky Common. They had a food truck & about 15 different beers. Really had a good vibe & was set up well. Only draw back, Parking lot is small. We parked on the street. Dreaming Creek is the only brewery that you will find in the area unless you want to drive to Lexington. They have a surprisingly good selection though for a small town brewery so definitely worth a stop. Grab some food nearby or at one of the food trucks that are frequently there and try a couple of their 20 or so beers. The best part about DC is that they have a wide variety of styles to choose from so everyone is going to find something. read more

We happened upon this because we needed a place to stop for dinner. Very small parking lot, but plenty of street parking. Beautiful, quaint town/location. Plenty of seating both inside and out. I've been to Dreaming Creek twice now - I had great experiences both times! The service is great, very friendly and willing to help if needed. I really enjoyed the atmosphere at Dreaming Creek. It's dog friendly, indoor and outdoor, which I love! I also love the fact that there is always food trucks outside if you get hungry. Perfect place to grab a bite and drink a great local beer. Also, Dreaming Creek is always hosting events and is involved throughout the community, which I think is amazing not only for their business but for the community and Richmond as well. My only critique - the sour beer didn't quite have as much "bite" as I would prefer. Still good, just a suggestion. :) read more

Our new favorite Richmond hangout. Love the outdoor seating area. Food truck out back as well. Street food and beer, just what Richmond needed! Can't wait to come back! Updating because it appears that different food trucks set up out back at different times. We were lucky to come in a night that Wild Hawgs BBQ was there. We had brisket with coleslaw and the Wild Hawgs nachos- tortilla chips slathered in cheese sauce, pulled pork, jalapeños, their house made bbq, and the owner put some baked beans on top. Sooooo good! The meats were incredibly tender and their bbq sauce was really flavorful and had a slight bit of kick to it. read more

So glad I stopped in while waiting for dinner plans later. Had a flight of their beers plus fabulous beer cheese. I think there are food trucks other times? Beer cheese is their only food item in house. Their beer selection is amazing and unique. They also have nice selection of t shirts and souvenirs for your friends and family back home if you are coming from out of town. Easy to find just north of old downtown Richmond. read more

This is my first destination on a night out. They normally have a food truck outside starting around 5pm and 6pm on Sundays. It's a different food truck about everyday. So it's always something different. I come out order some food. Then run inside and grab a beer. This is a dog friendly and kid friendly location. So if you wanna grab a beer with some friends but can't find a babysitter this maybe a great option for you. Staff is always very friendly and know a lot about the beers they sell. First day I went in. I asked for the beer that's most like an Ultra. And they hit it right on the head with the Station 1. So personally I haven't tried many others because I found the one I love on the first try. But if you want to try a bunch of different ones in shot like glasses they have an option for that. All in all it's a great hometown brewery. read more

We found this place because we wanted to try the food truck that was out back (it was wonderful- a must try if your looking for a place to go on a Friday night). It's nice because we were able to eat inside and escape the bugs and my husband got to have a beer. They let him try a couple. He prefers a dark, and the one he got was dark. He really liked it but said the others he tried we're pretty good too. It's a nice concept: you could bring any outside food in and enjoy it with the beer they make on site. Kind of a flip on the BYOB. Surprisingly, it seemed pretty family friendly. A family with kids were playing cards at the next table. read more
