Amazing! I've been thinking about doing temples for years now, literally years, but was terrified of what can go wrong. Came in to see Nurse Teresa and she reassured me of all their safety protocols. I scheduled a free consultation with Kevin Nguyen NP to discuss masseter botox. I was assisted promptly and was able to schedule an appointment easily via text message. I was seen by Kevin on-time and he was both professional and personable throughout the consultation. He appropriately went through my medical history, provided thorough explanations and expectations, including side effects, timeline for results, and cost. I was offered the classic "Botox" brand or option of newer "Dysport" brand of botox. I opted for Dysport after Kevin explained its benefits for masseters specifically and how it has an even + wider distribution. You may always choose not to receive treatment after the free consultation, but I felt comfortable enough to proceed the same day. After taking some baseline photos, I was then moved to a treatment room for the procedure. I do not have a high tolerance for pain whatsoever, but was pleasantly surprised by how tolerable and quick the injections were. There was no topical numbing cream used, but is likely not needed (although maybe you can request it). My entire appointment including the consultation and injection took a little under an hour. Kevin was amazing throughout, ensuring that he answered any questions I had and that I was comfortable. This was my first ever experience with esthetics and I'm so glad I went with Cheng Plastic. As explained by Kevin, I would likely see maximal effects around the 4-week benchmark and will have a follow-up appointment then. Will update with any post-injection side effects and photos. Lately I've been a little stressed at work and worried about the fine lines that could occur from this stress so I decided to make an appointment with Helena for some preventative Botox. It was my first time getting any kind of Botox, so Helena walked me through all the possible side effects and made sure I had a deeper understanding of the mechanism itself. The procedure itself was quick and painless (I could barely feel the needle!) We decided together on 6 units, since I'd rather be on the conservative side. Izzy was a great help and everyone at the office was so sweet and welcoming, especially Stephanie. I've attached a picture of myself as this is the only picture I really took since the Botox took full effect. Love how natural it is, and two of my aunts will also be coming to get work done soon! This review is for my experience with Dr Elbert! I've had an outstanding experience with Dr E. And his surgery team. I decided to get upper blepharoplasty surgery to fix my uneven eyelids. The unevenness was not severe but it was something that I've always felt self conscious about. I liked that the consultation was free and felt very heard by Dr E. when I was discussing my goals for the procedure. I had the choice to do a unilateral bleph (since it was really only one eyelid that would change from a larger crease to a smaller crease while the other stayed constant), however I ultimately decided to do a bilateral bleph in hopes of a more symmetrical outcome. The facility is very clean and professional. Dr E. and his team were clear in explaining the risks associated with the surgery and what I should expect during my recovery process. They provided written post op instructions and medications and Dr E. texted me the night before my procedure reminding me what I needed to do for surgery prep. I was very nervous as this was my first surgery experience but his team was very reassuring and made me feel comfortable the morning of my procedure. Surgery went well, no complications so far, and now I am post op 1.5 months! I would definitely recommend Cheng Surgery based on my personal experience. **this review is regarding my consultation** I was referred to Cheng plastic by a family friend. Her whole family got their nose done by her and I liked the look. I called for consultation and it took 4 months to book an appointment. (Super busy I get it). When my appointment came around the receptionists were all super kind. I did have a good consultation but when the quote came I did get quoted a little over $20k. Best doctor in the Bay Area, Dr. Sam Most, in Palo Alto even quoted me $17k. I am not sure why it was so expensive, but I decided to go to one of the best celebrity plastic surgeons in Los Angeles and I will be paying around 17k. On top of that, she did not have availability until end of the year. I just decided personally for myself I did not want to go with her, but the consultation was good and professional. read more

It pains me to have to update my review and drop a star because I love Cheng Plastic Surgery, but I believe in honest reviews so consumers are aware and the business can improve based on the feedback from their clients. I trust Dr E. with my face and he used to do my Botox but understandably, he has bigger procedures to do and so booked up so I started seeing Alex. Unfortunately, she recently left so I was scheduled with Teresa for botox. Teresa seems like a nice gal, but some things she said rubbed me the wrong way. The first thing she said when she saw me for the first time was "What happened to your face?!?!" I was caught off guard and I don't think that's appropriate to say to any client because clients coming in are already insecure about their skin. It took some time, but I figured out later the reason why she asked this was because I had Ulthera done a few weeks prior and my skin was sensitive after so I had to cancel my other treatments. Teresa was notified by the other staff members, but instead of saying, "The staff told me about your sensitivity to Ulthera. What happened?", she came in, looked at my face and exclaimed, "what is wrong with your face?!?". Then later she kept telling me how strong my frown lines were which was annoying because she kept saying it; implying that I frowned a lot. I would have politely pointed these things out to her but I wasn't trying to before she did my Botox. I look very young - I'm turning 40, but a lot of people mistake me for mid-late 20's so people talk to me like I'm their buddy all the time, but it's important to remember I'm a paying client who's spent thousands of dollars here and was going to spend more on other procedures so professionalism is key. As for the Botox, she left me with three bruises on my forehead which had never happened in my two years of doing Botox. I've had a small bruise at my eye area but it wasn't noticeable unlike three on my forehead. Although Botox isn't painful, the way she did it was more "painful" than any other time I've ever had it done. It's still bearable though so I sat through it. Over the next few days, the bruises got darker; one was right in the middle of my head, one on the side and one above my brow; none of which I can cover because I don't have bangs. I spent a full week wearing a hat, having to put heavy makeup on for my work meetings and when I didn't have it covered, people asked me what happened. It was quite an inconvenience and embarrassing. I am happy with the Botox results, but I don't like how heavy handed she is and I wouldn't want to get bruised again so I'd avoid going to Teresa. I included a pic but it's in the light so it actually looks worse in person. Luckily it's just temporary; maybe 2 weeks of wearing a hat. To be clear, I love Cheng Plastic Surgery and I don't trust any place with my face more than CPS, and the staff here are all nice, but I was not happy about this particular experience. read more

Dr. Cheng is a plastic surgeon you can really trust. I have had bad experiences with plastic surgeons (with high Yelp ratings) in the past. Dr. Cheng did revision surgery on a botched procedure (and most plastic surgeons understandably hate doing revisions) that I had put up with for 7 years because I was afraid that a plastic surgeon would make it worse. Dr. Cheng did a fantastic job and I can now look in the mirror without cringing. He is truly caring and a bonafide perfectionist which is exactly what you want when making any change to your appearance.
