Dr. Sani is amazing, I went to watch and be moral support for my fiancé who is doing PRP hair growth treatments with Dr. Sani. So much parking very helpful. Upon entering his office it was spotless and very nice. Staff greeted us and ask us if we wanted water upon water, I've been to many medical spas so I'll make it brief I really liked how my fiancé's treatment went his staff held up cold air to help with any pain when injecting PRP into the scalp while educating us both on a lot of questions I had about PRF and PRP, he's given him some prescriptions to take also for his hair loss and if I experience thinning or hair loss I do know I would come see Dr. Sani I liked his approach and the way he does injections. Ana and Natalie were great to communicate with for my appointments.... However, I was not comfortable with Dr. Sani. It was an emotional rollercoaster for me. He first started out kind and reviewed the facial muscles visual. He described that he starts conservatively because many of clients have come to him to fix jobs by other doctors, but that he can't fix anything when too much has been injected. I know this - it's standard. After sharing with him that I typically started with 24-28 units, he then ranted about how he was trained in Europe and that patients there research the doctors whereas in the US, the patients say what they want. I told him that I did not want joker brows and also that too much injected in between my brows made my inner eyelids heavy, which then affects my vision. He was not receptive to me sharing the information I was providing him... He stated I needed the minimum 50, then had a nurse come in with a piece of paper stating 75 units in some areas that we did not discuss. The nurse brought him back in. He then came back in with an intimidating tone again, and I felt so uncomfortable having to defend myself that 50 units was already far more than I've ever had. He stated he was giving me the Allergan recommendation (which is based on research with older, whyte women's faces, not Asian). He agreed that he did not talk about the additional units he was going to try to add in my nose... He told me that he could tell I have TMJ, which I do, then stated minimum of 50 units in each cheek... Whatever he did with the 50 units, it gave me the weirdest folds in my forehead. See photo. I had to go back for it to be fixed, and just tried to smile and speak as little as possible so he would ameliorate the folds... I did ask him again about the TMJ units as I had done my research to find out that 20-30 units. He again mentioned 50 minimum in each cheek... He may be good for others, but definitely not for Asians facial structures. read more

I went for a consultation about a year ago. Needless to say I was not satisfied with my experience. Sani barely checked out my scalp, and basically said I was too far along and to quit all my treatments, and also that PRP wasn't really going to help. He also mentioned that I was not a good candidate for a hair transplant because of some side thinning. Even though he isn't even a hair transplant surgeon. Also for whatever reason he thought I had been dealing with hair loss for 20 years. At the time of my visit I was 30. I started loosing my hair at 18. Not even close to 20 years. Another example of his poor communication skills is when he told me side thinning was not natural, and is usually due to some sort of illness. When I tried to ask for some examples, he wouldn't answer my question, nor would he answer what some general causes of side hair thinning were. Instead he was responding with "I'm not saying you have an illness." Instead of answering my question. I wasn't asking for a diagnosis, cause that's not his field, I was just asking for some causes of side thinning. This so called "expert" couldn't even answer a simple question. I mean, did it ever occur to him that I was asking that question so I could find a way to reverse my side thinning? Apparently not. Also at the end of it, he tried talking me into paying for one of his services? Are you kidding me? I already wasted money on this consultation, and he's expecting me to waste more money on his services, when he can't answer a simple question. His expertise on hair loss is dubious as well. Especially since there are people who were nearly bald and have at least gained coverage/fuller on their scalps through treatments. The worst part though is that he is not costumer friendly at all. He doesn't know how to talk to people at all. I like many people are already going through something very emotionally and mentally taxing. We'd appreciate someone who came from a place of understanding, instead of acting like a know it all, egomaniac. His receptionist was quite rude as well, coming across as hostile and cold. Maybe the reviews are from people who come in for skin injections, rather than scalp injections, which explains the glowing reviews. And even then there are some complaints about Sani making the customers uneasy. But when it comes to hair loss, this isn't the right place. I had a strong suspicion that something was off financially. Sani said I needed 78 units and claimed to have injected that amount--and I'm not even 40 yet. It felt too expensive, so I went to another specialist for a second opinion. The other specialists recommended just 28 units, and I've consistently had great results with that amount. Honestly, I don't believe Sani actually injected all 78 units, as the difference between his 78 and the 28 I'm currently doing isn't that noticeable. It felt more like the number was inflated just to justify the charge. I'm absolutely frustrated with the fact that I allowed myself to be taken advantage of. read more

Update here as this business has replied-- sure, there is not "x units" per "x age". But, 30+ units more than the what my peers get is absolutely insane. I don't have TMJ, gummy smiles, grinding or clenching as you've stated are reasons for being recommended the extra units. I never discussed these areas as points of concern with Dr Sani. I actually expressed I wanted a conservative amount, which is quite the opposite. I did request to receive less than the suggest amount of 50 units because that's how insane the suggestion was. That I would rather pay MORE and have you do less. As far as offering me the option to come back after 2 weeks for any touch ups-- 1. This is not true, as I actually was refused this service unless I got the originally 70 units. 2. Why on earth would I need to come back for a touch up/ check in 2 weeks later with 50-70 units of Botox? What possibly could move after that many units? I actually asked for a refund, because the patient care coordinator told me Dr Sani refused to do any thing less than 50 on me. You did not offer me the refund. Your staff did gaslight me by pressing on my nose "wrinkles", up and down my forehead-- saying I had deep set lines similar to the photo of the middle aged woman they were referring to in a generic Botox pamphlet. Pointing out aspects of my face that I didn't say were a concern-- for example pulling on my under eyes to show my elasticity. Again not an area of concern or an area that needs to be corrected. Multiple people have messaged me from this post saying that 70 units is insane. The other Botox clinic I went to also said that's insane-- and actually knew your office as patients come from here unhappy. I saw Dr Sani a few days ago, and just like whenever you meet a new doctor, especially one who's going to be doing anything to your face - it can be a little bit worrying. Dr Sani is very knowledgeable but approachable - he welcomes questions and gives absolutely reasonable explanations. His approach is rather different than your generic injector experience - he has his own unique way, and three days post procedure, I'm quite pleased with the results. I did have to suspend some misconceptions I had, but I'm grateful to gain some depth of knowledge. It has been about one year since I had my first consultation with Sani Aesthetics. I came for a consultation for my indented acne scarring (along the cheeks, jawline). I had already tried treatments such as regular microneedling with PRP, HALO laser and Clear and Brilliant laser. I didn't see much of a difference with those treatments. I was looking into subcision treatments because that is the gold standard for dealing with indented or atrophic scarring. Sani Aesthetics was the one place that did subcision treatments in the Bay Area. After the consultation I ended up doing about 3 subcision w/ radio frequency microneedling treatments (and exosome). I saw a difference in my skin--things were smoother. Then, I did 3 more treatments of just the radio frequency microneedling treatments with exosome per Dr. Sani's recommendation. Now, I am doing my last round of radio frequency microneedling treatments w/exosome while alternating with two chemical peels (to deal with the left over pigmentation). My skin definitely looks a lot better now than it did 1-2 years ago. Things just look much smoother. Although, I am not completely done with all the treatments yet I wanted to share what my experience has been so far. Sani Aesthetics is professional and Dr. Sani knows exactly what he is doing. PS The subcision and RF microneedling treatments do require numbing 1 hour in advance. I will be very honest-it does hurt even after numbing. The subcision treatments also had a lidocaine injection given just before treatment. The appointment booking process was also quite smooth. I could easily change appointments if needed. I felt the exact same way as one of the second star reviews, Cyn. It is unfortunate that some doctors are still trying to sell a service that is offered in many other places. I was so happy at first that he was open to inject Dyport to my nose line. He recommended certain units which I didn't want nor the area he recommended it, and he offered too many which I felt uncomfortable with. Then the lady from the front desk came in, would not stop trying to force me to go with the doctor recommendation (I was like, I'm not sick, only here for botox chill out). She was trying to hard core sell me the units that he recommended and even wanted me to sign a document where I'd agree that if the results are not what I expected, I'd release liability. I felt like I was in a car dealership. She insisted to the point where I stopped her and demanded my money back and just walked out. I will never go back nor I recommend this place. (I studied contract law; under no circumstances I'd sing any such document nor should anyone especially for a cosmetic procedure.
