We ordered 2 orders of Pho, a side of fried rice, and an order of egg rolls to go. Pho was piping hot and all food was delicious. The woman up front was extremely nice and made sure to pack and mark everything for our convenience. Will definitely come back! read more

Staff was nice and efficient when I ordered take out. The Green Curry Chicken was so acidic it tasted (and smelled) like bile. The Moo Goo Gai Pan (chicken) smelled off too, tasted marginal at best, and that's if you don't mind canned vegetables. The quality of chicken in both dishes was sub-par. I was so excited when I read all of the reviews for this place. I was so hopeful for a super great asian restaurant on the NW side of town. In all fairness, I got my meal to go and there was traffic on the way home...that being said, the pad thai was horrific. It had zero resemblance to any pad thai I have ever had. The noodles were wide and flat, now while I have seen pad thai made with these noodles, they aren't my favorite-but that could have been forgiven had the food tasted good. There were so many vegetables in this dish that the noodles were lost. To some, that may be appealing, but for me, it was a negative. I don't believe traditional chicken pad thai consists of mainly vegetables of many varieties. The sauce was brownish, not orange, red, or yellow. I could not taste any curry flavor. Yes, I am going on and on, but the pad thai was just such an epic disappointment. They should call that dish "random asian noodles and veggies", but not pad thai. The sweet and sour chicken tasted like it probably would have been good in the restaurant, thats why I am giving this place two stars. I cant imagine how they have 4 stars on yelp. Maybe the NorthWesters of Tucson just don't have many options. Sad really. read more

Best Asian food in NW Tucson. My wife is Chinese-Indonesian, so I'm pretty spoiled by wonderful Asian food every day. Cheng's is the only Asian restaurant my wife will eat at in Tucson - it can compete with what she makes. Their 7-day a week lunch specials are a great bargain. My favorites are lemon chicken (you can taste it's real lemon), Mongolian beef, rice sizzling soup, the spicy calamari, mu shu pork, cashew shrimp... I guess I have too many favorites. Other considerations... parking is pretty easy, interior is nice and comfortable. They accommodate small kids OK (although I rarely see small kids there). Service is good; bathrooms are clean, simply but elegantly decorated. Highly recommended! read more

Well, i like the lighting, but it's small in there and when many people are there and you want to relax it is very noisy and annoying. My mom got a wonton soup that had lemon grass which is tai influence, she said it was good but, not very flavorful. I got the mongolian beef, i liked the flavor but no chili pepper oil i could taste and the onions were huge chunks....The hot and sour soup did not have a lot of vinegar and the chili pepper flakes again were void...It was not too salty which was nice, but the flavors were blander than usual...I like the choices of teas and there prices are good enough. This is the BEST Chinese I have ever had!!! The vegetables are always fresh, the meats are not fatty and not over breaded! The quality is better than some fancy options out there. Personally I didn't think much of this Chinese food, it was average. We ordered the crab puffs and they were oily and soggy. The taste was not great either. My husband got sesame chicken and it was good. I got Thai shrimp and it wasn't bad, just not what I was expecting. Overall I wouldn't say the experience was bad but it wasn't very memorable either. One of me and my boyfriend's favorite Chinese restauraunt. Always fresh and delicious, huge portions at a fair price and they also sell Boba tea!! We went here because of the other good reviews we read. It is a very nice, clean, small and quaint restaurant. We really like Asian restaurants like that and they are hard to find. Dishes were very authentic and had such a lovely, fresh homemade taste. This restaurant had good energy, you could tell everyone working cared and that too makes your meal more enjoyable. Service was very fast and we had a very friendly, outgoing server. Was nice to see someone with such passion at their place of work. I'm a frequent eater of Asian food, and since their food is handled by a delivery service I've had it delivered, I've done takeout, and I've eaten in. The real awesomeness are the fresh Thai soup with aromatic herbal and floral scents, extreme heat, flavor and it has no added thickeners (won't congeal in the fridge!) Second after that is their Pho -- noodle soup -- both full of meats. Ok other than soups, their fried rice is the best in town. They add so many other vegetables you don't find everywhere. (Yeah carrots and peas but also:) mushrooms, micro-corns, and various other things. It's fresh as heck, sticky enough for chopsticks but also does not congeal in the fridge! (You don't need to water it before microwaving after a night's fridge stay.) The rest of the food is great but I would recommend dine-in because the flavors cool and the dry and wet mix: Thai prawns. Volcano beef. House special (beef/shrimp/chicken). All great. Service is normal, cleanliness is great, seating is quick, checkout is quick, etc. (By service "normal" I mean it's friendly but not like waitress-sits-at-your-table just normal professional excellent service.) For takeout & delivery they also overstuff with lots of soy sauce, really hot mustard, fresh hot sauce and fortune cookies. If you have kids, pre-count the fortune cookies and steal some for yourself so everyone (else) gets only one :D read more

Solid food, terrific service. We were looking for comfort food after a loooong day. Wifey wanted Chinese, so off we go. Menu looked terrific; pan-Asian. I struggled between ordering a pork dish or the Pho, but wondered how good the Pho could be given the lack of traffic.business here. Went with the Cherry Pork, which wasn't very adventurous, but very well-cooked. Wifey wanted something non-meat and the server made some good recommendations and cobbled together a dish (rice noodles, veggies, fish sauce, a bit of egg...) that was really well-seasoned and delicious.
