I came to this spot today with my mom, after her physical therapy nearby. We so wanted a good Thai meal for the day. The restaurant is next to my bank, and also a Super Cuts. So, strip mall food was what it was, like a lot of Tucson. Both our dishes from the bat had very little appeal for the presentation. It was basically overcooked food and obviously no heart from the chef. Every sauce they mixed or put on our table was from either a tin or jar, e.g., peanut sauce, chili sauce, walnut sauce. Nothing felt fresh and it made me think the BOH was just going the lazy route. Even the peanuts were stale that were on the peanut sauce, that came with the spring rolls that I had subbed out after sending my original plate back to the kitchen (Thai Basil w/ tofu). Not even the chilis I asked for were fresh, in order to add something to my bland and boring dish, that most Thai spots will serve in a little tri-rectangular container. My mom's walnut shrimp were practically inedible and had a congealed sauce over breaded, fried shrimp. I spit out the first bite from her dish onto my plate. That was the start of the meal... *** To the server, with the long hair, and obviously new to the job: This is a bit of constructive criticism I would like to offer, from someone who worked in the industry for 15+ years... 1) Greet the table when you go to it and present yourself. Simply say "hi" or "hello" and just welcome the clients to the restaurant. 2) Then ask if they would like something to drink to get started. You lob the first ball. 3) Coming back to table, ask if they've "any questions about the menu" and/or in the least, "are you ready to order?" *** PLEASE DO NOT go up to every table and simply spit out "You know what you want?" Or worse yet, as I heard you, "You know what you want yet?" These people are your guests, and it's not just about taking an order to feed the machine. A little goes a long way, especially since your kitchen does not obviously have your back and you are the face of the restaurant. All in all, this was probably the WORST meal across the board that I have eaten out at in years, possibly decades. One star at the least. Unless you have tasted authentic Thai food, served fresh and lively, then you will not understand just why I hated everything about this meal experiecnce. Uffa! read more

Nattha's Bann Thai Asian is one of the best Thai spots I've found. The Khao Soi was excellent and tasted very authentic, with rich flavor and just the right balance of spice. Their Chinese food selection is also very flavorful and well done. The almond chicken was amazing, and the mango sticky rice was honestly the best I've had outside of Thailand. The service was also great--very welcoming, friendly, and attentive. Definitely worth visiting if you want authentic Thai food and great Chinese dishes in one place. read more

4 stars because I like a little mystery in my life but also because Nattha's Bann Thai Asian absolutely delivers when you know how to order. Translation: ask for Thai chilis and suddenly you're in a full blown flavor situation. They do not play when it comes to spice, and I respect that deeply. Major love for the clearly labeled vegan and vegetarian section because yes, we like options that aren't just "remove the meat and good luck." Everything we tried was delicious, the service was genuinely kind without hovering, and the whole place has this laid back low key energy that makes you want to stay longer than planned. We ordered at lunchtime-Mongolian beef-fried rice-1 egg roll &2 crab puffs --House fried rice (shrimp,chicken,beef) --shrimp lo mein and sizzling rice soup and extra egg rolls. We all enjoyed our food and sampled the others. They food was ready when they said and the service was excellent-everyone so friendly and helpful. I don't live here but my family who does will definitely be back. As said picked up so didn't really pay attention to restaurant but smells of food being cooked was very awesome and got you ready to eat. read more

It's a very tasty soup however this time when they added coconut milk they let the soup boil which resulted in curdling. No one likes curdled milk so that was a bit of a problem. I've lived less than 5 min away from this gem for 6 years and never knew it existed until now. I can't tell you how happy I am with my order. I did pick up and everything was correct and ready in the quoted time. Our food was hot, fresh and most importantly delicious! Inside there was plenty of seating, nice lighting and very clean. I recently discovered this Thai restaurant by ordering through Door Dash and just experienced eating there in person last night. We arrived almost a half hour before closing and they had no problems with letting us stay and eat. The entire staff is so friendly and accommodating. The food is incredible! In the past I ordered their mussman curry and pad thai noodles for delivery and in person last night ordered their curry again since it was so good the first time. The portion sizes are huge! We both had to take leftovers home. I wish it was closer to my side of town but it's definitely worth the drive from anywhere in Tucson. I order take out from them for lunch a lot, the shrimp Thai fried rice is amazing, and you can pick the spice level. The flavors are so good, there is lots of onions and cucumbers mixed in. 4.5 stars really. We were looking for a restaurant with semi-late (7:30p) Sunday night food and dropped in here. The place was 1/3 full and still doing a fairly brisk takeout and DoorDash volume while we were there. She ordered the small hot/sour soup $4 and Eggplant Thai Basil with Beef $17. I got the Green Curry with Beef $17. Each came with a small side of rice included. I feel I need to emphasize that because too many Asian restaurants now charge separately for the rice. Service was a bit underwhelming tonight (slow to take order and no water refills) but the food came out in less than 10 minutes and it was delicious. There was ample beef in both entrees and spice level was as requested. Sadly, we didn't have room for the Mango sticky rice dessert but look forward to trying that next time. Ambience is nothing special (kind of touristy decor and brightly lit) and parking is free/easy in this small strip mall. read more

Ambiance was very nice. Service was poor. Had to go search and find a waitress to get sugar for ice tea. Waitress never returned to our table to see if everything was ok. Needed more napkins but never saw the waitress to ask. I gave up. Decided to give Bann Thai a 2nd chance since first time was very disappointing. Wonton soup was only minimally better, little taste or flavor and few veggies. Phoenix dragon dish was again completely flavorless. Very large portion with a lot left over which I didn't even want to take home. Told the waitress the dish was not very good but got absolutely no response. My sisters beef & broccoli was decent, but not very flavorful at all. This 2nd attempt was another and a last chance for this restaurant. We won't be back. I made a stop at Bann Thai Asian Restaurant over on 22nd and Wilmot on the east side, and it was really good. The first thing I want to mention is the service it was on point the servers were friendly and brought out my food fast and it was fresh. Now for the food I got the basil chicken lunch special with the crab puff and egg roll. The one thing that stood out for me is that it wasn't greasy!!!! It was flavorful and just delicious then I got the mango iced tea and it hit the spot. My meal was around $13, and the drink was like $3. It was money well spent. I also just took pictures of my family's food just to show other stuff. Pictured- crispy pork belly pork and green beans, and a Curry. We were all happy with our food and the prices. Today, I ordered the Mussaman Curry, mild, no spice, and the pineapple red curry, mild, no spice. When I got home and tasted them, the Mussaman Curry was mild but the pineapple red curry was very hot- at least a 2-3 on the spice scale. I had ordered mild because my daughter only eats mild curry and loves pineapple. I also don't like spicy food. I called the restaurant and spoke to a male. I explained the problem. He told me that the pineapple red curry cannot be made with no spice. He offered for me to return the curry and they could try to remake it for me. I told him that my husband was eating it so I could not return it. I shared that I've gotten red curry at other Thai restaurants and they are able to make it mild with it tasting spicy. The man said to me, "I don't know what other Thai restaurants make red mild curry, but we don't." I asked to speak to the owner. He told me the owner was not there and asked if I wanted to speak to the Chef. I declined and ended the call. First of all, he was not really apologetic about the issue. Secondly, while he initially tried to rectify the situation, he ended up escalating it by arguing with me. My family will no longer be dining/getting take out from this establishment and will start recommending other Thai restaurants to our friends/family. read more

We visit this restaurant for both to go and dining in. I love that it has Thai food and Chinese food because my kids and I like Thai and my husband likes Chinese so there's something for all of us. My favorite is a yellow curry here his favorite is the beef and broccoli. The staff is always very friendly and the food is always made very quickly, which is nice because my kids don't have a lot of patience usually. I also always get the crap puffs which are delicious. Highly recommend ordering those if that's your thing. Thai food in Tucson hasn't been as consistently good as I am used to but Nattha's hits the spot for me. My favorites are the Tom Kha soup at highest spice level (5/5 there which isn't very spicy when compared with Thai food in bigger cities) and the red and yellow curries. I also like their pad thai. They are vegetarian and vegan friendly and offer lower pricing when ordering vegetarian which I love. read more

LONG WAIT - BURNT & OILY FOOD **February 15, 2025** THE WAIT... We ordered and waited 45 minutes for our food. After following up, one dish finally arrived. The second? Another 15 minutes later. THE FOOD... The Cantonese Chow Mein was swimming in oil and completely flavorless. We sent it back. The Pad Thai? Burnt. Out of sheer embarrassment, we nibbled, paid, and left. THE SERVICE... Friendly at first, but just like other reviews (which we unfortunately didn't read beforehand), we were completely forgotten. The people who ordered TO-GO were complaining! "I've been waiting for an hour since it said it was ready for pick up!" THE AMBIANCE... Unremarkable. If the food had been good, we could've overlooked it. Sadly, everything just made horrible sense.
