4 stars because I like a little mystery in my life but also because Nattha's Bann Thai Asian absolutely delivers when you know how to order. Translation: ask for Thai chilis and suddenly you're in a full blown flavor situation. They do not play when it comes to spice, and I respect that deeply. Major love for the clearly labeled vegan and vegetarian section because yes, we like options that aren't just "remove the meat and good luck." Everything we tried was delicious, the service was genuinely kind without hovering, and the whole place has this laid back low key energy that makes you want to stay longer than planned. Come hungry, speak up about spice, and thank me later.

The service is fast and friendly and the food is typically delicious. We ordered tom kha to start with. It's a very tasty soup however this time when they added coconut milk they let the soup boil which resulted in curdling. No one likes curdled milk so that was a bit of a problem. For our main course we ordered red curry and pad Thai and both of these were very delicious.

I've lived less than 5 min away from this gem for 6 years and never knew it existed until now. I can't tell you how happy I am with my order. I did pick up and everything was correct and ready in the quoted time. Our food was hot, fresh and most importantly delicious! Inside there was plenty of seating, nice lighting and very clean. I 100% recommend giving it a try you won't be disappointed. We ordered around 2pm on a Wednesday. The beef and broccoli has plenty of sauce and the Mongolian beef was so flavorful spice level 1 was not spicy at all so maybe I'll try a 3.

My coworker ordered from here a while ago and I regretted it so much.. the food smelled so good.. today she suggested it again because I was craving Asian.. I got Mongolian beef 0 spicy level with fried rice.. comes with 2 crab puffs and a veggie egg roll .. it was so good and so much food for a lunch portion.. definitely would order again.. I didn't go to the restaurant so I myself can't speak on it.. but my co worker says the service is always good and the restaurant is always clean..

I recently discovered this Thai restaurant by ordering through Door Dash and just experienced eating there in person last night. We arrived almost a half hour before closing and they had no problems with letting us stay and eat. The entire staff is so friendly and accommodating. The food is incredible! In the past I ordered their mussman curry and pad thai noodles for delivery and in person last night ordered their curry again since it was so good the first time. The portion sizes are huge! We both had to take leftovers home. I wish it was closer to my side of town but it's definitely worth the drive from anywhere in Tucson. I'll definitely be back or will be ordering delivery again soon!

Love coming here, for lunch and or dinner, when I'm "forced" to be in Tucson for work. Hidden gem within a strip mall. Who needs fancy? Ambiance is always clean, the "girls" are always welcoming you with a smile. Good vibes only. No matter what dish you choose it's always tasty, no exceptions! Simply Lovely

4.5 stars really. We were looking for a restaurant with semi-late (7:30p) Sunday night food and dropped in here. The place was 1/3 full and still doing a fairly brisk takeout and DoorDash volume while we were there. She ordered the small hot/sour soup $4 and Eggplant Thai Basil with Beef $17. I got the Green Curry with Beef $17. Each came with a small side of rice included. I feel I need to emphasize that because too many Asian restaurants now charge separately for the rice. Service was a bit underwhelming tonight (slow to take order and no water refills) but the food came out in less than 10 minutes and it was delicious. There was ample beef in both entrees and spice level was as requested. Sadly, we didn't have room for the Mango sticky rice dessert but look forward to trying that next time. Ambience is nothing special (kind of touristy decor and brightly lit) and parking is free/easy in this small strip mall.

Adjacent to a Fry's at 22nd and Kolb. Easy parking. Ambiance/Cleanliness- Completely generic dining room, extremely clean. 4 stars Service-Adequate...hostess very polite. 3 stars. Food-I have eaten here before...plate of Pad Thai large enough to eat well and take home leftovers. This time i had orange chicken...very large plate. Average quality. Enjoyed the fried rice. 3 stars

Ambiance was very nice. Service was poor. Had to go search and find a waitress to get sugar for ice tea. Waitress never returned to our table to see if everything was ok. Needed more napkins but never saw the waitress to ask. I gave up. Decided to give Bann Thai a 2nd chance since first time was very disappointing. Wonton soup was only minimally better, little taste or flavor and few veggies. Phoenix dragon dish was again completely flavorless. Very large portion with a lot left over which I didn't even want to take home. Told the waitress the dish was not very good but got absolutely no response. My sisters beef & broccoli was decent, but not very flavorful at all. This 2nd attempt was another and a last chance for this restaurant. We won't be back. A complete waste of money and a real disappointment.

Every time we have been here the food has been exceptional. Service is great, place is clean. It's my go to spot for Thai food. Can't wait to take others. It's a true gem!

Do you offer safe options for those with a peanut allergy?

YES we do. Thank you so much for asking. Just let us know what your allergy is. We have programmed our Point of Sale system to notify the kitchen when someone has any of the usual known allergens. Peanut is a common allergy that we are aware of.…

Do you have a vegetarian dish with tofu, veggies and peanut sauce?

Hi Lisa, I know we have tofu and veggies and if you want some peanut sauce, just ask. Also, even if we don't have the dish listed in the Vegan or Vegetarian section, ask because we often can substitute tofu for the animal protein.

So I searched Yelp and I found this gem, Jun Dynasty. We traveled an hour and forty minutes from Maricopa to try this place. I could've traveled to other Chinese restaurants in half the time in and around Phoenix and Scottsdale, but something just intrigues me about Tucson. Jun is located in an older part of Tucson and its location can be misleading. But trust me, you want to try this place. We were immediately greeted and seated after we entered the establishment. We were handed menus and asked what we'd like to drink and I ordered Oolong tea and water. The menu included several authentic dishes not found at other Chinese restaurants. I kept it simple though and ordered Walnut Shrimp for my wife, Steamed Dumplings in Peppercorn sauce, Salt & Pepper Fried Fish, and Bok Choy. Steamed dumplings were the first dish brought out. I ordered this because my wife can't eat anything spicy. Well this had a kick to it even I wasn't expecting. It was numbing, literally! Some restaurants will even list this type of dish as cooked in numbing oil. Soon after swallowing the dumpling, a numbing sensation enveloped our tongues. Sorry honey; I thought I ordered a mild dish. I ended up eating all of them. It was hard tasting the other dishes because of the numbing effect. The walnut shrimp came out next and I have to say, they were probably the best I had; even better than Fat's in Sacramento who set the bar back in the day. My wife devoured them. Bok choy was brought out next and she also loved them. They were served with I think a garlic sauce and it was very tasty. The Salt & Pepper fried fish were delivered last and they were also good. However, my wife preferred the walnut shrimp. I did have better S & P fish elsewhere, but these were still good. I can't speak enough about the staff. They were the friendliest I ever experienced in a Chinese restaurant. Our server always checked on us to make sure everything was fine. They all even said good-bye when we left. Yeah, I picked a good one!

Promptly seated, drinks brought out, order taken and food delivered fast, hot and correct. The background music was some chinese music tv station playing modern easy listening tunes and, along with the comfortable chairs and solid table made for a relaxing environment. The food? meh. You can see our order in the latest photo and how expensive it was. the Lo Mein was mostly tasteless and certainly lacking in thast "lo mein flavor." Although the meat was tender, the sauce was just a sticky brown sauce. Surprisingly, the Spicy Pickle Tofu was essentially the same sticky brown sauce as the Lo Mein but with some fried tofu in it and without the noodles but nothing otherwise remarkable. You can tell by looking at my earlier picture attached. The old picture shows a bright and colorful plate. The dish today was a dark brown (you could hardly see the tofu from the beef) as everything was just dark. Eggplant seemed to have a similar brown sauce as well but the eggplant was otherwise tasteless. Nothing popped. Chicken bites were bland and not at all crunchy. Just fried to soft texture but no real flavor. According to our server, the menu was just recently updated about a month ago. We noticed because one of our favorites was the Fried Taro Pie which is now gone from the menu and the server said yes, that's right. Maybe this place has a new owner or chef, but it's no longer in my top asian restaurants for Tucson.

Service was attentive and everyone inside was incredibly kind and respectful. Ordered Crab Rangoons and Beef Chow Fun, a couple of staples of mine trying new Chinese restaurants. Rangoons were perfectly crispy, while the chow fun had a delicious wok hei flavor. The noodles and beef were tender and the dish had plenty of onions/green onions/etc. The only thing I didn't care for - and this is a personal preference - is that the chow fun did have a little more star anise/five spice flavor than I care for. I got introduced to the existence of this Chinese restaurant that serves pretty authentic Chinese food for being in Tucson from a non Chinese doctor who hangs out with Chinese doctors at his Tucson hospital and they brought him here to eat REAL Chinese food in Tucson. I know this restaurant serves Chinese authentic food because they have a dish that is nothing but "cut off duck heads.". Just so that you know they have non-authentic Chinese food on the menu that only white people know as Chinese food such as gungbao chicken and broccoli beef, as well, if you don't want to order something as strange as the pile of duck heads. I ordered one of my favorite Szechuan dishes here. It is whitefish fillets with pickled vegetables in a soup. It is like a hot sour stew. It was a generous portion for $16.95 that year. But the reason why I am giving this restaurant two stars is because something happened that never happened to me ever in a restaurant in my 73 years of dining experience, Chinese restaurant or other wise. What happened was I like well lit tables. I don't like to sit in the dark. I was dining alone and like to read while I am eating and I said I want this brightest table which was the first one next to the waiting area. It was a table with four independent chairs. After I sat down and was already eating my food the restaurant asked me to move to another table which was a booth in the corner which was the darkest table in the restaurant. I like bright well lit tables because I read while I eat and I always dine alone. The reason why they asked me to move was because four very obese men couldn't fit in that darkest booth in the far corner of the restaurant, because there was no room in the booth for their bellies to fit. They had to sit in the independent chairs at the table where I was sitting and I was only one person eating at that table for four by myself. They could have waited till I was done eating. So I did move when they explained why and I saw the 4 men waiting there, but honestly I don't think this request that I move when I was ready eating at that table would have happened if this were not a Chinese restaurant, and I say that because I am Chinese. That was my first time eating there and I never went back.
