Brandy is a perfect fit for us and so loving. We have boarded her twice at Our Pals Place and their attentiveness to our questions, or instructions on what our Brandy eats. They let us bring her bed, blanket, toy, food and meds. Gigi, the Owner and Director is on site, and she makes everything so easy. We were on vacation, and we received two photos of our Brandy playing with large and small dogs. They introduced her to others slowly to make sure all was alright. Our Pal's Place is by far #1 in our book for this area. Privately run and not a large corporate boarding facility. I cannot say enough. Thank you, Gigi and your staff.

We found a beautiful German Shepard mix today at the Dollar Store up the street. We could tell the…read moredog belonged to someone because the dog looked very well cared for (the dog looked to be at least 80 pounds or more) but its obvious he is lost. The poor guy kept going up to every car in the parking lot hoping he would bump into someone he knew. At one point he actually ran toward the main intersection and we actually had to run out to grab him. After a quick search on Google we found Our Pal's and decided to bring the lost dog here to see if we can find his owner. We talked to Gigi the owner who was so nice and helpful. She gave us the name of a vet down the street (Shallowford Animal Hospital) who could check to see if he is chipped. We could tell Gia cared about our lost dog and even gave us a really strong leash to use... Thanks to Our Pal's we were able to find the lost dog's owner. Thanks Gia and the staff here....you guys are an animal's best friend.

They do an interview and check references, and they're very concerned with making sure the animal goes to a good home. They made sure she was up to date on all her veterinary care and provided me with detailed information on her health history. They even stamped a tag for me while we were interviewing. I am incredibly impressed with the whole operation, particularly Jonnie, who was a great help in speeding our application along.

I contacted Dana, she helped get me though the night with how to feed and take care of the babies until I could get them to her and her baby expert the next day! They were quickly adopted by their foster. Seeing all of the stores on their page helped me get my scouts involved with the rescue and helping out. I also fostered a cat who had a traumatic injury, was on the list to die at animal control until Dana and her crew saved him, fixed his broken jaw and gave him a chance!! He is now fat, healthy and happy!! The reviews about this rescue could not be more wrong! I have seen these volunteers drive hundreds of miles to saves cats from euthinazia, seen them spend their own money for food and supplied and vet bills and work 7 days a week 12 &13 hour days. Cats get sick but they are quickly quarantened and treated! Visit for yourself before taking the review by either disgruntled volunteers or those who you can't do anything to make them happy!

She was too young to eat solid food and extremely fragile. I took her to this organization and it took a month of round the clock care before she was healthy enough for me to adopt her. I was told that the status of Max was uncertain and someone would get back to me. I suspect this dog is long since adopted and they keep his photo up on their site to draw interest. I am done. I have to have a breed or mixed breed that is good for allergies and have spent weeks on Adopt a per and Petfinder and no one has the dogs I ask about still available. I'm glad these pets have found homes, but the small non-shedding dogs go so fast. That I'm wasting my time chasing after dogs so often already adopted. I can afford to buy a small mixed breed dog that doesn't shed. I was trying to do a kindness to a needy dog. If you are looking for a big dog there are so many in need of adoption.

I had cats in…read morethe past and they lived a long life 19-21 years old and I have NEVER abandoned a pet and have perfect Vet records. Every pet I inquired about, I was told it was already adopted by someone else. Because they have so many animals, I kept trying but again, was told each time it was already adopted. They never reached out to try to let me know when a cat came in that I was looking for or followed up or anything. I ended up getting a cat from a Chattanooga rescue group who was so nice and drove her here to Atlanta for me! I also own my house and dote on my pets and treat them as family members. I also drove up to their compound and looked at the cats there and it made me sad, they were in small plastic "kitty condos" - and it is a very nice facility but they could have made larger cages with all the money they spent. Cats do not like confined areas at all!

We saw an adorable dog for adoption posted by Homeless Pets and contacted them about meeting Bronx…read more They invited us to come meet him. We arrived to find a bright and clean facility. Before they brought him out, they warned us about how he looked. He had come in starved and severely matted. When he came out what we saw was a friendly, happy dog. He knew they had saved him. He came home with us that day! They sent us home with a container of special food for him. Since then we have been back for a weigh in and check up, an injured leg (he hurt it having too much fun), and neutering. Each time he was welcomed enthusiastically and with much love. The vet (Dr. Anna) took her time to talk with us answering all our questions. The day after surgery the shelter called us to make sure he was recovering well. All communications with Homeless Pets and in particular Susannah have been positive, helpful, and timely. If you are looking to adopt a pet, I can't recommend Homeless Pets enough!

Don't recommend this pet rescue at all. They lied about the dog's health and didn't give any…read morerecords at pickup. The dog was bleeding from its bottom the first day and after notifying the rescue who also has a vet on site, they only said "it will clear up". A vet never called to check on the dog or asked to see it. Once they got their adoption fee and got rid of the dog, they didn't want anything else to do with it. They claim they get dogs healthy for adoption which is completely false. After multiple messages to the rescue and getting no where, I took the dog to my vet who performed a $2500 surgery the same week. I gave the rescue an opportunity to make it right, and they refused to compensate for any of the cost. Very disappointed in a local rescue who claims to be looking out for pets. These are the facts, and they know what they did was very wrong.
