I have neuropathy in my hands and leash walking has definitely been challenging for me so, I was hoping Greg could give me some pointers. Never did I expect Trinity to be able to walk next to me without a leash. Where to begin.... Vanda, the receptionist, was so kind, patient and sweet! She was extremely helpful with my multitude of questions before, during and after. I am very much the helicopter mom for our fur baby...lol. I've never done something like this so Vanda was amazing answering all my questions. You could genuinely see the love she had for all her fur and human customers. Trinity boarded overnight and it was obvious she was very comfortable and connected with Ashlynn that was giving her some trail walks and taking care of her. Due to the limited amount of time I had in town I was only able to get two sessions in with Greg. It is mind blowing how much he taught Trinity but more so me in that time during our sessions. I loved the analogies and thought provoking scenarios he provided in order for me to relate to our pup and her thought process. I had always heard it's more about training the owner versus training the dog. Which I definitely see now. Greg even told me by the time we left on the second visit that Trinity would walk next to me without a leash. And she did! Now I have a lot of work to do still especially when we go back home down to South Georgia. But I definitely look forward to bringing Trinity back in a couple months to work with Greg a little bit more. Because I had to go several times I really feel like I got to know the staff. Trinity was very excited to see Vonda, Ashlynn and Greg. As I like to say, Trinity did the wiggle butt dance every time we arrived! Regardless if you need doggy daycare, overnight boarding or training the Peacefulness & Serenity of this facility is like no other and your pup will be in GREAT hands. This was such a precious find! I also loved all the little extras that could be added on. The irony is when we lived up in this area 8 years ago, our German Shorthaired Pointer Rascal used to run to a farm behind us. Little did we know it was Atlanta Dogworks. It was pretty impressive that Vanda remembered our Sweet Rascal Girl too. That sure was a sign that Trinity was in good hands! My dog was brought in to board from Sept 3-9. When I brought her in on Sept 3, I left written…read moreinstructions that said the following: Give Trazadone half a pill once a day at bedtime. She can also have an extra half pill every 8-12 hrs if anxious during the day. Cover well with the turkey and give. If she is still anxious, call her vet to increase dose. When I picked her up on Sept 9, I was told that she wouldn't be allowed to come back to the kennel as she "wasn't a good fit". She was extremely anxious to the point that she was shaking and had to be hand fed. Unfortunately, when I arrived back home and counted the trazadone, I saw that no extra doses had been given, just the bedtime dose. The pill bottle itself even said give extra if needed. My instructions also said "If she is still anxious, call her vet". When I called Countryside, I was told "We never call vets". The problem is, I wasn't called either and my dog was allowed to be extremely anxious when she could have been medicated. I would like to know why my dog was allowed to be so scared when Countryside had extra medication to give her and failed to let the vet or me know that she needed an increased dose. Countryside suggested I get a home caretaker. My dog won't let anyone in her house. She's be very abused prior to our rescue. I've been working with a trainer to help. I sent an email asking for review by a manager or above, but got not repose from Countryside.

My truck broke down and had to be repaired in Maryland so we were a week late getting back. I knew the food would run out so I called and spoke to the manager. My dog was on a special diet. I told the manager to go to Hamby Road Animal Hospital to get more food and have them call me for my credit card. No one followed through and when we got back my dog had lost two pounds because she wasn't getting enough to eat. It was very noticeable when I picked her up. Then Covid started and the lobby shut down. There were less employees too so for years now I've never seen the dogs outside like I used to. Plus our dog seemed hoarse the second to last time she was boarded there which struck us as odd. Last March 2023, I had to have surgery. We boarded our dog for only two nights. When she was picked up, not only was she hoarse again but she had to poop 3 times in a row. So we surmised she was put in her room and ignored. She would only bark if she need to go out or wanted her play and walk times I was paying for. Our dog was so well house broken that she held her poop and barked to be taken out so much she got hoarse. We decided that she would never go there again. She is dead now from cancer but the two trips we made last year before she got sick, we took her with us. We decided not to use this place anymore.

Based on my recent experience, I do not believe they have their clients' pets' best interests at heart. Yesterday, I took my one-year-old dog to Ruff House for daycare. Unfortunately, I made a mistake and told my husband the wrong pickup time. I mistakenly thought they closed at 7:00 PM because another daycare we use has those hours. Ruff House closes at 6:00 PM. When my husband arrived at 6:15 PM, the facility was completely empty--there were no employees, no vehicles, and no one available to assist us. I spoke with the manager, Ann, the following day about the situation. The conversation began pleasantly but quickly became dismissive and confrontational. Rather than addressing my concerns, she attempted to tell me things about my dog that I know are not accurate. She also openly shifted blame onto individual employees, mentioning them by name and attributing the situation to their mistakes. During our discussion, Ann confirmed that Ruff House does not have an after-hours emergency contact number and has no plans to establish one. This was particularly concerning given that they are responsible for caring for other people's beloved pets. While I fully acknowledge that the initial pickup issue was my mistake, I was surprised that no one attempted to contact me by phone, text, or email to verify whether we were coming. I live only seven minutes from the facility and could have been there immediately. What concerned me even more was learning that boarded dogs are left unattended overnight for approximately 13 hours. According to our conversation, all employees leave at 6:00 PM, and no one returns before 7:00 AM. I understand that facilities may not be staffed 24/7, but 13 consecutive hours without on-site supervision seems excessive. When I worked at a dog daycare in college, staff remained with the animals until 9:00 PM, and morning staff arrived as early as 5:30 AM to care for them. To make matters worse, my dog was fed without my authorization or prior communication. Since returning home, he has experienced vomiting and diarrhea. After this experience, I contacted several other local dog daycare facilities, including Puppy Haven, to ask how they handle situations involving late pickups and overnight care. Their policies place a much stronger emphasis on communication with pet owners and ensuring the safety and well-being of the animals in their care. While everyone makes mistakes--including me--the way this situation was handled left me deeply disappointed and concerned. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Ruff House. **As of today, there is no business by this name with an active business license with the State of Georgia according to the Secretary of State's website. All businesses in the state of Georgia are required to have a business license and all are searchable on the website as they are public records.**

Please keep an eye on your fur babies and if they start coughing or have diarrhea, take them to the vet to get them checked! I picked up my 3 dogs yesterday and 2 of them have KENNEL COUGH!!! To say I'm upset is an understatement. I was in contact with the lady that runs the facility. She told me yesterday morning that my dog, Togo had a one short 2 cough spell but that it wasn't hindering him. I became concerned at that point. I know I am not a vet BUT I am a groomer and I have worked at a vets office before, so I do know some things. I picked the dogs up and the coughing got worse! Well to top things off my dog, Spirit started coughing. The owner wanted me to keep her informed, so I did let her know that Spirit started coughing. Then to top that off, I had to groom ALL 3 of my dogs when I got home. Now I know they are going to stink or be dirty when staying at a boarding facility BUT when my dog, Monty had dried dog poop all over his belly, that is unacceptable! They were absolutely filthy and smelled so bad! When this was mentioned to the owner (I have the messages,) all she had to say was, I'm sure that is from when Spirit had loose stool in the run. Um.....did you not clean the run? And why would not rinse off my dog? I'm not asking for a full blown bath but you could at least rinse him off! I also would like for y'all to know that even though I was notified about the one short 2 cough spell, when I picked up, my dogs where still in the same run. They had not be quarantined from other dogs in the same area as they were. I sure hope those who had dogs staying there were notified that their dogs had been exposed to not one but two dogs with kennel cough, as this is HIGHLY contagious. I even said that to the owner. I have all the messages. I want to also say that she seems to be so nonchalant about it. She has not even offered to pay for the vet bill and still charged me for boarding. Well with the timeline the way that is of when the coughing started, one of two things happened: 1. There was already a dog there with kennel cough and they failed to quarantine, notify incoming boarders and failed to properly clean/sanitize. 2. There HAD been a dog there with kennel cough and they failed to properly clean/sanitize. Either way my dogs are now very sick and refuse to eat and drink water and they did catch this virus at the boarding facility! Please DO NOT EVER USE THIS BOARDING FACILITY. I will be making sure to ask any future boarding facilities for their general cleaning procedures, to make sure this doesn't happen in the future. **Anyone is more than welcome to contact me and I am more than happy to send videos, pictures, etc.**

The groomers are professional, but the behavior of the owner/manager has become unacceptably rude. Today was the last straw. I had purchased a gift certificate months ago before COVID surged. I bought it from 2 of our dogs that go there often for another dog who has since gone back to its owner. I asked if I could use the $45 from the certificate for today's groom. Now, if she has said "no we don't let people transfer them between pets," or "no, it's not recent enough," or "no you'll have to use it another time because you didn't tell me at drop off," I would have understood and would not likely be writing this review. BUT NO! She stood there and repeatedly accused me of printing it at home and lying. She insisted she's the only one authorized to print them. That may be so, but as I told her, it was a young girl at the desk who sold it to me about 4 grooms ago. She printed it right on the printer in the front area. Then, the manager accused me lying because I didn't tell her about the certificate when I dropped the dog off, but I wasn't sure at that time if I could even find it. Again, if that was an issue, couldn't she offer to let me use it the next time? Couldn't we compromise on a lesser amount? Or couldn't she let me know the certificate couldn't be used without accusing me of forging it!!?? I'm a regular customer. She could have easily said no without standing there for two+ minutes yelling at me and accusing me of forgery like a mad woman. THEN to top it off, she swore and slammed the desk door, yelled "after dealing with COVID for a year, I'm done!" And then slammed the door to the kennels. I wouldn't want this woman near my dogs again. I don't need her $45. However, I expect respect and appropriate responses to questions. Not accusations and rants. She's very sweet, nice and very bubbly. As soon as I walk in the door, she calls back to get pebbles. As I wait, she has a conversation with me. It's not just customer service bull either. She genuinely cares about our pets and us as customers. It feels more like a second home than a daycare. I will always come to Creekside Pet Hotel as long as Megan is there to greet me!
