I had the French Toast with coffee and was very impressed with the service and food. The coffee was not bitter like IHOP. They keep the ambiance true to the name, as this location is a buffalo trading post. The only reason I can't give 5 stars, because the owner charges $0.27 or a percentage if you use don't pay with dollar bills. The positive side is that, they give 10% discount for KOA campers and military/veterans. read more

Stopped to eat here today and had a wonderful experience. The catfish was perfect, the salad bar was fresh, well presented and reasonably priced. My husband enjoyed a bison burger. The food here is amazing and I love that they serve breakfast all day. I really recommend taking a stop here and trying out the food. Their service is really amazing I love that they are super sweet and make sure that I always have a refill. The tables are always kept clean and it is great that you can seat yourself. One of my favorite stopping places for lunch back in the day. Everything is pretty good here, but get the bison burger. It's what they're known for. On the other hand, if you're here for breakfast they have the usual diner fare and it's quite good Stretch your legs after walking around the trading post next door or head out to the corral where the bison are kept. read more

Could not make up my mind chicken fried steak, which was hand made with a ribeye or Indian fry bread tacos .....I chose the chicken fried steak made with the ribeye. It was delicious if anything, a bit too much cream gravy for me, but the gravy the chicken fried steak, the baked potato, the green beans all very southern homemade delicious, my partner had catfish, which for him had a little too much breading but again delicious. We should have split a meal as the portions are huge It felt like a step back in time to an old diner with good homemade food. On the other hand you're looking for some modern Nuvo type cuisine. This is not the place for you. Highly recommend the chicken fried steak if you're a chicken fried steak lover, even though it was a ribeye, you could cut up with the pork. It was so tender gravy. My grandma used if you had a grandma that made that. lol. I say give it a shot. read more

Go for the bison burgers (make sure to get a fried egg on your burger!), but stay for the fresh, made on site onion rings, fried green tomatoes, and (best of all) coconut cream pie. The men's room was neat and fairly clean when I went in -- always a good sign in a truck stop kinda place. (Yeah, most truck stop restaurant restrooms are NASTY. This one was clean and fairly well kept. though.) Ask for Angela -- she's the best server this place has working. P.S.: Staff is masked, but many patrons were not masked when we went in today. Road stop! HUGE trucker portions! It's clean, staff is busy! Julie had chicken strips, came with a trip to the salad bar, mashed potatoes green beans and a drink, I had enchiladas they came with rice and pinto beans and a taco along with chips and salsa!! They have pies and huge cinnamon rolls!! Buffalo steaks and burgers are on the menu too!! It's good food. Really fresh! All sort of souvenirs are available here and right across the parking lot. The service here is FANTASTIC! Shannon was my server, I was having a bad day and she cheered me up with a smile and some friendly banter. In a rarity for most restaurants she didn't suggest the most expensive thing on the menu, instead she helped me find meal I would most enjoy. She also brought me a to go drink, which always gets you bonus points. The food is great as well, best onion rings I've had in a long time. The atmosphere is perfect, the classic American roadside diner. It's a little gem off the highway in Western Oklahoma. read more

Up until several years ago this restaurant was pretty good. The past few years even before covid the quality of the food has gone down and the service is not nearly what it once was even though the prices have gone up a great deal. Their chicken fried steak was wonderful at one time, now it is a lot of crust with a tiny piece of tough meat inside. While the place is convenient for a lot of people they're not doing a great business any longer because of the quality decline in their food. read more

Service was ok. It was a Sunday afternoon, so I understand why. I ordered the Southwest burrito and upon arrival I received a "sweet chilli sauce" instead of the salsa like the menu said. When I finally flagged down our waitress, she told me that is what it comes with even though she knew it was not right. She did bring me some salsa. The burrito was just ok. I wasn't dissatisfied but nor was I wowed. It also comes with hashbrowns and 2 jalepeno poppers. I will have to try the lunch menu. A bit of a tourist trap in my opinion, and very very limited menu for me (I've got celiac disease and can't eat gluten or dairy.) I've been to this restaurant since I was a very small child, it's always been fairly loud/with slow service. Nice salad bar, usually very fresh and I definitely enjoy their tea. read more

As a new local that's never been here before I was hopeful we had just found a new 'spot' for good diner food. Sadly I was wrong, restaurant was probably at 25% capacity with 3 waitresses but our food still took 45+ mins to come out. One we received each meal was stone cold and one plate had 2 dark short hairs in it. I mentioned to our waitress and she sent the manager over, she was short and snappy and asked if I wanted it microwaved or boxed to go. Not sure why she wanted me to leave by offering it to be boxed up. She microwaved ONE meal out of 3. It came back luke warm at best. She didn't stick around to see if was warm enough or even refill drinks after I complained. Rude and unapologetic, I work in the service industry as management and I would never act this way or train staff under me too. The cold hairy inedible food was the highlight of our visit sadly. No apology, no discount and when we walked to the register to pay she quickly left the register and a young girl came and took out money and was just as snappy as the manager. Such a shame, we were hoping this would be a great local spot to visit frequently. read more

A typical roadside diner, but with a more expansive menu. You can get breakfast all day, or go for sandwiches, burgers, or the southwest menu. They have a little salad bar, and on Sundays they have a buffet menu. The best part of the whole thing, however, was our server. All of her customers were her new best friends!
