Yes, they have great plants and produce…read more I come here for the apple pies. The best crust, like grandma or great grandma made. Better than Briermere. Yes I said it. Very flaky. Flavor. And the bonus? Most of the time they are still warm on the bottom. Just the apple. The other flavors must be made elsewhere because the crust is not the same. No, I'm not a fan of that other place, just not impressed. More impressed with a place way further up county but it doesn't matter. Westchester Greenhouse makes the best Apple Pie. Yes, I have busted into this pie in the car many times. Forks ready. The pie is still hot, folks. Seasonally, the apple cider donuts are the best anywhere. Yes, better than That place. And that other one up there with the mazes, and bouncy houses and things you don't want or need or have to pay extra to walk on their property. Donuts. That's what that line is about. It moves fast. They hand you the box in the line, they are hot. And with more apple cider taste than those other places too. Apple pie and apple cider donuts. Oh and Wave Hill breads if you can't make it to the farmers markets. Everything else is a plus. Plants. Produce. Wreaths. It's all good. I should buy raspberries from them and tell them to make be a custom raspberry pie with that crust they have on their Apple.

It wasn't until I read through the entire ingredients of the product I consumed where I saw "macadamia nut" listed in the mix of all the other ingredients in the products & it wasn't in bold. Don't get me wrong. The produce is beautiful - summer fruits especially. Yes it is very expensive…read more I have been a loyal customer for several years. I don't live in the area but nevertheless I go out of my way to shop and tell everyone I.know to.go. 2 weeks ago I bought a honeydew, half an orange flesh melon and a watermelon.. I specifically said I wanted it ripe for that evening. The orange flesh and watermelon were good. The honeydew went straight in the garbage. It was not close to ripe. But 2 days later the orange flesh and watermelon.also went in the trash because they had turned rancid. Today U went back. I had every intention of making a purchase, but wanted to inform the store of the subpar produce ( that cost an arm and a leg btw) from my last visit. The staff are friendly and very accommodating. The person whom I can only assume is the owner. Is quite nasty. He claimed this has never happened to him in 43 years and that I didn't store the fruit properly and I should've called. He was quite rude and has a lot to learn about customer service. The staff however were very apologetic and could not have been nicer. He is lucky to have them, and I hope he treats them.better than he treated me this morning.

Finally had a chance to go apple picking with a group of friends at this lovely, sprawling orchard…read moreduring Fall Festival Country Music theme weekend. There was a lot going on throughout, including awesome live music, hot apple cider, farm store filled with gourmet products, multiple food vendors, pumpkin cheesecake tastings, and of course the vast orchard where all the apple trees were, which were all located uphill. There were over 10 different types of apples, such as Mutsu, Evergreen, Macoun, Snapdragon, and Honeycrisp. I mostly collected the more unique kinds. I also managed to locate the Pear trees, way behind the hay riding area. I picked Asian and Bosc pears. We went on a hay ride, which was $5 and it was rustic, bumpy, giving a sweeping view of the beautiful orchard grounds. Back in the main area, we had lunch. By this time, lines were pretty long, so we divided and conquered, as well as found a place to sit. I shared Pork Ribs and Fries, which were both very tasty. The Ribs were delightfully tender and well seasoned. Fries were perfectly crispy. One draw back was that most everything at the store and most lunch items were quite expensive. Overall, there were great vibes, and I really enjoyed the views at the farm, apple / pear picking, as well as the hay ride.

One of the best times I've had in a really long time!…read more As a born and raised Floridian, I'd never been apple picking, but a fall trip demanded it so we found ourselves here on the last weekend of the season. We started down at the bottom of the hill with "Apple Cannons" ! Pneumatic launchers that lobbed our apples into an old truck, pumpkins, hay bales, and fun targets. So awesome! Then we headed up to the main event and wow! It was a total vibe! - A live band playing exactly the perfect country music you'd expect at an apple orchard on a cool fall day. - Vendors selling soft & hard cider, juice, various hot foods, and my personal favorite, hot fresh apple cider donuts! - Costumed characters walking around passing out trick or treat candy to the kids. - An Apple orchard! Row after row after row of apple trees, most were picked pretty clean, but we found lots of juicy and delicious fruit waiting for us on the trees. You can wander around and eat whatever you want or buy a bag and take some home... We did both! Inside there's a general store and souvenir shop as well, and everyone we let or talked to was helpful and friendly, but we had all our fun out in the open.
