Formans is shady looking take as much form you as they can possibly get legal or illegal. It's one thing to make profit....it's another to look to rip people off ‼ A few months back I took a loan out at this place on an item of both monetary and sentimental value. Fast forward to the 17th of March I paid 500 for my March payment (last payment made on 2/13)...meaning I only owed 185 or so in interest the rest is automatically supposed to go to the principal right⁉ Nope not at this place‼ This guy says since I paid on the 13th of Feb, and the 17th in March that 4 days automatically put me on the hook to pay interest for the entire month of April which hasn't even arrived. He says that in the state of PA 1 day over equates to the entire months interest when it comes to pawn broker loans. He acutely took 2 months interest and tried to justify it by saying it's how it's always been. Really? Sounds like your customers have been getting taken advantage of for years then‼ (ThIs is % against the law) What's even more f'ed up is in January I paid on the 16th (remember last month in Feb I paid on the 13th) So I paid a few days early right ⁉ Nope not at this place‼ According to him it doesn't matter when you pay you got 30days. Go past by 1 day you accrue the entire next months interest, pay a little early... so what. he starts your loan over that day. Don't matter if you pay 5 days before or 5 days after this guy is pushing you into the next months interest before it even gets here. This way you never pay off the loan because you're never paying on the principal. Not sure how they've been getting away with it long. Sure enough, never heard a whisper from the pawn shop, but I had also made a police report & when my serial #s pinged back at this pawn shop, they acted like they had no idea what could've happened, completely dodged the responsibility of contacting me, & then made me buy my stolen goods back (this is PA state law, and a flawed one at that, but still added insult to injury.) So I guess no big surprise that this is a shady af pawn shop, but if your items go missing, be aware that they may end up here & the people working here will lie to your face about it.
