Cherry Knolls has been a part of our family for a little over a year. They've been great. We have an English Bulldog and we're in there a fair amount. Dr. Fleischman was quick to assist and made sure I was comfortable with the options available. She made me feel comfortable and was extremely knowledgeable. Our dog Teddy was seen by Dr. Shannon from 2010 when we moved from Maryland until he died in March of 2016. For the six years Teddy was in her care, we always felt she had Teddy's best interest at heart and charged fair prices too. Dr. Shannon diagnosed him with cancer and she helped us say good bye to him when it was time by making a special visit to our house where he could be the most comfortable. She and her staff were amazing. Now we have a new puppy and we will continue seeing Dr. Shannon. I highly recommend Cherry Knolls Veterinary Clinic! read more

DONT GO HERE MONEY HUNGRY....Very disappointed in today's visit I stopped in to get a third round of shots for my 4 month old husky. When the technician gave the dog back to me after waiting outside (COVID) the first words out of her mouth were regarding hip dysplasia and wanted an x-ray done at 6 mo. Now I'm not saying it's not possible and know the risks of having this breed however just felt that it was very poorly handled, I feel this way because one.... the tech literally grabbed my dogs rear legs and tried to fully extend them in a fairly aggressive fashion causing my dog to obviously be uncomfortable and whine. Then she tried to sell me on the benefits of getting the xrays and without being mean I recommend that they come up with or new sales pitch or maybe have the doctor directly discuss it with the owners because it seems like I was at a car dealership sorry just being honest. Not going to put the issue aside but definitely will be getting another look at her when I see my trusted vet back home. Additionally they charged me for a shot that they ran out of and said that they would call me when it is in ....... no thanks I'll do it myself. Not saying the recommendation was bad or wrong but 100% seemed to be an up sell and with the prior complaints about up selling I find it hard to go back again. Friendly staff and what not but just got a weird feeling about it today and wished the doctor would directly reach out rather than the tech who seem very flustered and seemed uneducated on the matter. Additionally the prior paperwork that I had seen for the dogs vaccinations would've ran $52 and when they gave me my receipt afterwards and then jump to 82 because they put a $30 exam fee on there which was not explained in the prior documentation definitely will not be returning to this vet at first I would've recommended it but now noticing that they overcharged me for sure they are just there for the money, they always had me sign off on the bill prior to having anything done in agreements this is the first time that it had slipped my mind and they got me for the extra $30 and FORGED MY SIGNATURE sayin I agreed for the payment. they need the money with all these reviews. read more

This vet clinic, the vets and the employees all try to upsell you to things that aren't needed, and the rates are exorbitant. Example, they wanted about $1,000 for dental work and so I shopped around a bit. All the other places were MUCH less for the same dental work (had an itemized listing). I ended up spending about $300 at a different vet clinic, saving $700! They always want to do tests for this and that, which aren't always necessary. They just want to make money. read more

We have taken our two cats to this Clinic for five years. My favorite tech is Ben K. He always remembers my cats, and can handle "Ed" a lot easier than the other team members. The whole Clinic is very responsive to my appointment time needs, and they have late evening hours and Saturday hours. I have read a few of the comments about extra tests and costs, but they have always been respectful of my decisions not to spend the extra money as my cats are older and about ready for pet "hospice" care. I highly recommend this Clinic for your pets. read more

Very inexperienced and immature vets. I have had dogs my entire life and have had excellent vets in the past. My last vet was a female so wanted to give this a shot. Staff friendly, but found the vets to be more interested in making a buck than the well being of the owner. Took my dog here for six months and switched. Would not recommend. read more

It has been almost 3 months since I lost my beloved pekinese of 12+yrs. Dr. Shannon encouraged me to have a dental done on him due to bad teeth, however, I had to get an echocardiogram to make sure his heart murmur could withstand anesthesia $300, then the morning of his dental, they did labwork and his liver was elevated to 350 (normal 30) never in his life did he have a liver issue, instead of calling me to let me know, and treating this new problem which I wasnt aware of, Dr. Shannon took it upon herself to go ahead with the dental, and pulled 8 teeth $700, when I took him back for the 2wk checkup, his liver was now 958! Here we go with more medicine, pain pills, appetite is gone, weakness, had to give him food by syringe because he stopped eating, he no longer wanted to go for longs walks or any walks. If this vet, Dr. Shannon had any human decency and integrity, she would have treated his liver problem, first instead of going ahead with the dental to collect more $$ out of me. My little dog passed away in my arms, and I know if he had been properly taken care of by a vet, he would be still here with my and my boys. It was the absolute worst experience I have gone through with a pet, and if I would have gone somewhere else, he would still be here. I will never have another dental done on an animal, and if you care about your pet, please don't go to Cherry Knolls Veterinary if you want your pet to live a long and healthy life. I have talked to other vets in the area, and they all said how inhumane it was for Dr. Shannon to do a dental when an animal's liver is comprised, and they all suggested to post everywhere possible to tell people about the awful experience I indured and to warn others so they won't have to lose a pet in the way I did. 12/7/16 Lori K. read more

I am new to pet ownership and boy, I can tell you, it's expensive! The last thing I would ever do is pinch pennies when it come's to my baby... That's what it's important that I find a vet that I can trust to do what's best for me and my puppy. I am so disappointed to be writing this review, partially because had I taken time to read the other negative reviews I would have realized how money hungry this place is. I had initially taken my dog to Red Rocks Animal Clinic because her vaccinations were included with her adoption fees and that was the clinic I had to go to. That place was super crowded and walk in only, so I decided I would get her initial vaccinations there and then find a vet that was closer. I didn't check Yelp reviews because a friend of mine referred me to this place. I went in specifically seeking information about heart worm prevention as well as flee prevention. I had forgot to bring in the records from Red Rocks but they assured me that they would call and get the records transferred. Which they did. Kind of. I left there and they handed me a long list of vaccinations to consider, something along the lines of $200. I was like, okay, this doesn't feel right. The last vet told me I was good for the next year, so I took the list home with me and did my research. What I determined from my research (which included talking to several pet owners to see what vaccines they give to their animals) was a bunch of unnecessary vaccinations. So I'm leaving town this month and have to have my dog boarded. The boarding facility calls Cherry Knolls to check the current status of her vaccines. They call me and tell me I have to get her bordetella vaccine. I call the vet and schedule the appointment. After I schedule the appointment, I pull out my records from when I first got her and realize that she had all her vaccines for bordetella. I bring in the records and the lady says "oh, I don't know how we missed that" and then tells me "well, she has to get this every 6 months" (which is partially true; if you are boarding your animal Colorado requires that they have the bordetella vaccination every 6 months). Cherry Knolls offers to print up her updated records so I can bring it to the boarder and then hands me back the paper and changes the expiration of the vaccination on the paper that initially said EXPIRES May 2017 to July 2016, so I can bring her back in and get the shot. Well, I'm boarding her this month, not next.... so why would I want to pay for a vaccination that isn't necessary? I wouldn't, I won't. I will make sure to give you guys a call too so you don't mistake my unresponsiveness for neglect and report me to Animal Control like you did that last person that wrote a shitty review about your shitty business. read more

Just a update since my last visit.. The vet decides to call early in the morning and argue With my mother for 10 minutes. I love how professional this place is! I called to make a last-minute appointment to get annual vaccinations for my dog, Kenny. They were able to see me 20 minutes later. The service was impressive; I appreciated how they treated and took care of Kenny. We will definitely be coming back! read more

Dr Shannon has been a fantastic vet for us for many years now. She has helped with minor injuries and even had me bring Zoey by for a quick check on something I was concerned with (at no charge!). That single visit made me a permanent customer of hers for any pet I own. They handle my dog with great concern and tenderness and you can tell each person really truly enjoys working with pets. Now that Zoey is getting older, we have had more frequent visits and more medications. The prices are reasonable and they answer every question without getting offended or resentful (I always ask if this treatment/medicine/visit is really necessary). I feel totally comfortable referring them and would highly recommend them. read more

After having taken our dogs here for over 10 years, I had the unfortunate experience of having to deal with someone other than Dr. Shannon. After a very difficult emotional and lengthy discussion amongst the family, we had decided that our 15 year old Brittney had no quality of life left. He couldn't hear, could barely see, was having difficulty breathing, and couldn't keep food down. This was a traumatic process for the family, but we made the decision that was best for him. One of the other vets, a younger female whose name I have forgotten, challenged our decision to put him down. Maybe that's what is being taught in vet school now, however she refused to proceed without us agreeing to spend hundreds of dollars on tests. After this experience I will never bring another animal to this clinic. The additional strain and emotional cost due to her belief that she knows better than the people that have lived with an animal whether he is healthy and what his life is like. read more

These people are fantastic! The people working the front desk are friendly; the techs are caring, friendly and great with animals; and the Veterinarians (both Dr. Shannon and Dr. Lauria) are knowledgeable and compassionate. Appointments are super easy to schedule, and the appointments themselves are thorough and informative. Most importantly, we know that when we walk in that door our pets are loved by all of their employee's. A typical complaint you hear regarding all veterinary clinic's these days is the number of services they try to sell you on. The reality is Dr. Shannon and Dr. Lauria and staff are going to offer you additional services and products. It's all part of being a good vet. They are doing it because they are in the business of keeping our animals safe. It is their responsibility to do so not just as owners and operators of a business, but also as caregivers of animals they must inform us and offer whatever may be of benefit to our animals. Whether these purchases are actually made is entirely up to us. As pet owners we have the right to accept or reject any product or service. You can rest assured that you will only be offered what will be of help, and should you choose to deny that help you will not be judged harshly by any member of their staff. In the 6.5 years we've been going to CKVC we've run the gamut of pet experiences. We've brought in a puppy. We've brought in full grown dogs. We've brought in a cat. We've vaccinated. We've recommended friends (these friends also really liked the services they received). We've had a few emergencies. We've had false alarms that the CKVC staff eased our minds on very quickly. We've seen a little bit of everything with these people, and we cannot express how appreciative we are of the members of this clinic. They showed their true colors when we had to put Lena, our German Shepherd, to sleep this past winter. As anyone that has been through that knows, that was an awful experience, but their entire staff helped to make the best out of that situation. They were kind and empathetic before, during, and after (days, weeks, and months after). They showed us how much they cared, and that helped make the whole thing so much better. Dr. Shannon at Cherry Knolls Veterinary Clinic has been the vet for my pets for over 10 years - however many years she's been at the clinic. She and her staff are so compassionate and knowledgeable - I wouldn't think of changing vets. She has treated my pets for diabetes, cancer, heart issues, arthritis and routine ailments and normal annual exams. She's very knowledgeable and researches the latest treatments available when issues come up. They follow up with a call and ask how the patient is doing after every visit - which I really appreciate! She and the staff are wonderful. I'd recommend them to everyone! read more

Dr Shannon and staff gave my dogs the most thorough exam they have ever had. I was very impressed by their concern and caring.

I bring all 3 of my dogs here and always receive excellent care and customer service. I am usually able to get a same day appointment, or the next day, for urgent issues and they always call to follow-up after my pets are seen. Dr. Shannon is amazing, a true animal lover, as are the rest of the techs and vets. They shower attention on your pet, take time to listen, fully evaluate and make a scary vet visit not so scary. You cannot go wrong entrusting your fur babies to these folks. read more
