I like bowling here. This is a nice, clean, modern facility. In addition to the regular lanes there's also a private party room with four lanes available for small to mid sized gatherings. There's a good selection of balls available to use. There's a pro shop on site - I wanted to get some shoes and they didn't have the size I needed but Jeff got me the size I needed within a couple days. The staff is accommodating and works to keep the lanes in good shape. There's plenty of parking in the attached garage and there's no charge to park there either. read more

This is probably my least favorite bowling alley. 1. The service is terrible and crabby, 2. We payed for 1 game and were shut down 20 minutes before close with several rounds left, and 3. We showed up at 9:10pm and asked to play 2 games and were only allowed to play 1 even though there were only 3 of us playing on a lane. Overall not a fantastic experience. read more

We have enjoyed bowling at this facility multiple times , usually with our adult children and our grandchildren . The facility is clean and plenty of alternate size balls that are easily marked for customers use. Light weight balls for kids, too. Easy access to parking/entrance. Always receive good service from knowledgeable staff. Have only had good experiences at Cherry Lanes. read more

Only giving one star because I had to. Wow wow wow!! Employees were so incredibly rude!! I cannot believe this place employees such people. Absolutely the biggest jerks I've ever encountered at public facility. Bob & Tom get a new job if you hate yours so much. They had the place closing up an hour before it was time to close & wouldn't let us bowl another game with plenty of time left to bowl. We will never ever ever come back to this place. Ever! Our first and last time there. We were on a family trip and this was our last stop. Sure left a sour taste for our family. Thanks for nothing Bob & Tom. I had to rate atleast 1 star but Cherry Lanes deserves no stars!!! The big reason is as the other reviews indicate the rudeness of the employees!!! They sit or stand there with a look on their faces like they are mad at the world or hate that they have to be there. If you don't want to be there then get a job somewhere else. I can't believe the manager trains his or her employees to be that way. Customer Service is the biggest part of working at this location. If you have great customer service the customer will return. The way my family and I were treated was rediculous!!! There are 3 other bowling centers in Dubuque and we will go there the next time we want to open bowl and we will buy new bowling balls and equipment at a different location also. Not always family friendly. we bowled there last Saturday, arriving just after 9 PM with 2 12 year olds. Cosmic bowling with videos playing, but multiple videos featured nudity (like Tove Lo's Talking Body). I registered a complaint before leaving, hoping to discuss this with the manager. He didn't get in touch until I emailed on Wed. He stated that all videos are "mom approved" before 9 and everything after 9 is PG and readily viewable on TV, then passed any blame to a music service they use to provide videos. He said he would "look into it" but there has been nothing further; it would have taken him 1 minute to go to youtube and another 4 minutes to watch the video I mention. It would be nice to be able to take the kids here without exposing them to this stuff; at least post a sign saying that videos are for mature audiences so parents can make an informed decision about being there read more

what rude employees! our family went to cherry lanes to bowl for the first time and we had to wait. i understand a busy january sunday. we were given a pager that was to go off when a lane opened up. we watched 3 families come in to bowl (they were not on a waiting list/no pagers....i asked them). as we were waiting for 40 minutes the employee started to talk about us and made crap out of us for not calling first/etc. needless to say, we left and i was still polite telling him to have a great day and i got nothing in return. this is a terrible way to run your establishment! our 6 year old son was in tears! thanks for nothing cherry lanes!!!!! read more
