Women Beware!!!!!! Cherry Park Automotive 77095, does a poor job diagnosing your vehicle. After having my vehicle towed to the shop they replaced the fuel pump a more expensive job. Two weeks later I was stranded on the side of the road again I went to a different auto shop, replaced the battery only to find out that it was the starter. Now I have to pay and have the starter replaced. I trusted that Cherry Park Automotive would service my vehicle and make the necessary repairs and I would be on my way. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about the manager and the mechanics at Cherry Park Automotive; specifically at the Cherry Park location. I literally was a walk-in, seeking help as the undercarriage (lining) underneath my car was literally dragging on the street. I stopped at the nearest mechanic to ask if they could just please remove it. They were so gracious, kind & courteous. In lieu of removing the part, they fixed it! I do not live in the area but do frequent the area for other reasons. I plan to make an appointment to leave it with them so they can do a thorough inspection of a few concerns I have. They have gained my trust and look forward to doing business with them. Oh and I failed to mention, they did not even charge me! I was so grateful because I was at least 25miles from home and there was no way I could drive my vehicle on the expressway. This was hours before the winter storm was supposed to hit and I was anxious to get home; and figured they too needed to get home, that I sadly did not offer a tip! :( However, I do plan to make up for it! This is for the West Road location. First of all I did not get any of the customer service people wrote about in previous reviews. Outside of receiving my quote via a text link, there was no communication from them to me. I decided not to get the repairs done and when I went to pick up my vehicle, they told me that it no longer starts. I drove the car there the day before. Somehow, after their inspection, the car won't even start. No one contacted me to let me know that this could happen with the inspection and get my approval before doing it. Nor was I contacted about my car not starting. I had to find out when I went to pick up the car. Not only is the car not fixed, it is worse than it was when I took it there. I see some reviews of people saying that they're hesitant based on other reviews. I don't think people should base their decision solely off of reviews. Most reviews are based off of a bad experience. I recently bought a used Mercedes Benz and I was having a problem with one tire that kept losing air. I brought it to Cherry Park and they found a screw and a nail in my tire! This is after I had already brought it to discount tire twice and they said that they didn't see anything in my tire. After Cherry Park plugged the tire, I kept experiencing the same issue. At this point I was frustrated and ready to just buy a new tire, but they offered me one more solution to try before making a big purchase. They took the entire tire off, submerged in water to find air bubbles, but didn't find anything. They even took the rim off and I think cleaned it up (I'm not a car/tire expert, so I might be a little off on exactly what they did). The point is that they didn't push me into just spending money on new materials. They tried to save me money. In the end, I ended up buying a new tire. I appreciate everyone who works at this business and I trust them with my car and money. read more

I decided to get a second opinion and went to Cherry Park Automotive, and they fold me I needed a new compressor, expansion valve, and condenser for $1650. SCAM ALERT !!!!!!!!! SCAM ALERT!!!!!!!! This is for anyone that is planning on coming here or has already been here. My 4x4 light started flashing this Friday so took my Toyota in to get it checked out next morning. They called me later and told me it was my transfer case needing to be replaced and the total was 2,849.06 to repair and also that I needed a few other things. I took it to another shop this weekend and they told me that the actuator was dirty inside and it took them all of 20 minutes to remove it clean the contacts with sandpaper degrease and boom my 4x4 was working . The mechanic said that whomever looked at my truck should have known that this is a common issue and that the dirt and water gets in if breather tube comes undone which it had been for some time and that was the root of the problem, he showed me the hose which you could see clear as day it was not hard to miss. Any how this Cherry Park Automotive was ready to bend me over for 2,500.00 for one ship hour of labor. Stay day away from this place and if your a current customer I hope you read this. When the mechanic gave me a ride home from Cherry Park after dropping of my vehicle originally he told me that they had a similar issue with an Infinity 4x4 and that the transfer case needed to be replaced and now I see the pieces of the puzzle coming together. I hope whomever reads this knows now what other would have wished to have known before stepping into to this place and getting told do you want to keep your vehicle because here's what's wrong. Dishonest mechanic shop! BLOOD SUCKER! My check engine light was on 3 weeks ago, they diagnosed the problem, replaced ignition coil and valve cover gasket. They charged me $400 for that. I checked the ignition coil parts price online, they charged more than double of the online price ($90 versus $40 online), moreover it's not even have a brand name on it! I paid them $55 for the valve cover gasket set versus the online price of $20. Despite to the over-priced parts, they still charged me labor cost of $120. Well, as a lady who know nothing about car, I put my trust on them. I don't mind to pay higher as long as they can do a thorough diagnose and resolve the issue once for all. But, I'm WRONG, 3 weeks later, my check engine light is on again, I went back to them, they told me another problem to fix, now it's oil control valve issue, and to replace the "timing solenoid", they quoted me $300!!! which the online price is ranked from $100 TO $150, and of course the labor charge and the misc which total up to $500!!! They're really blood sucking vampire!!! I questioned them why the diagnose was not done completely 3 weeks ago, as I have been over-paid them last round for the services and parts. They claimed they didn't see it and they can't ensure another issues will come up again. What a lame excuse, they had open up the engine and they were overlooked the oil control valve which is just next to the ignition coil? I tried to get help from another male customer sitting there waiting for oil changed, he told me he just come here for oil change, he never let them do other stuffs of his vehicle. I wanted to take my car back, but they have broke the timing solenoid, and they just put it back and told me it will be leaking. Very cool blooded, if anything happen to my car when I drive it back (my daughter with me) , they're the murderer! Bottomline, just avoid this shop. Over-priced with bad service, dishonest, irresponsible and blood sucker. One more thing to add on, the waiting room have a broken water dispenser, there is no water, I told the front desk, no water and that's it, they're not going to do anything.. Stay away from these guys they take you for a ride and then some, if given the chance they will Just throw parts at you and believe me they are not cheap I took my 2012 GMC Sierra due to some electrical problem they told me I needed a new battery and alternator they charged me $700+ dollars claiming that would solve the problem. 2 weeks later guess what?? There it was again I take it back it took them a couple days to come up with $1,200+ repair claiming the driving control module was defective and blah blah blah. 2 months later guess what? Yes you guessed it, the problem came back so this time I decided to ask a friend for help he recomendé his friend who came to my house, charged me 50 dollars for the visit hooked up his computer to my truck and told me that the problem was a $14 dollar ground wire, so I replaced it and Let me just say that I was way beyond pissed about this situation. The establishment is clean and professional, and the services are fairly priced. If your car needs repairs they will discuss the source of parts (OEM vs aftermarket) with you, including warranties, etc. This is now my go-to auto shop for all my vehicles. Oh... for the record... I am a lady who has been there with a little kid in tow, and they STILL didn't try to rip me off. My husband is a diesel mechanic, so we would know. Been here a few times in the past year, these guys have been honest each time. They are probably the least expensive place for regular maintenance for foreign cars, specifically german cars. I had a major issue with my master cylinder and these guys gave me a great price when compared to a the dealership and another place I was going to. I know the stigma that some mechanics shops have as being scams and seedy, but this place is clean, quality staff, and you usually wind up talking to the actual owner so you can a put a face to the place's name.
