I am somewhat new to town and have been trying to replace my home nail salon in Phoenix. I was recommended to try Cherrys nails I set a nail appointment and showed up. I was given the guy in the third booth. I asked him a few questions about my nails and his tone and response was extremely dismissive- making me feel stupid. I was nervous to ask him exactly how I wanted my nails to look - even though I am paying for the service. This employee was extremely rough with my nails, cutting into my skin multiple times and letting it bleed - saying oops once he realized I was pulling back because it hurt. My fingers are cut everywhere & i have never had this type of experience before. I have tried several places in town however this was hands down the worst service I have ever had. My fingers hurt He made me feel so uncomfortable. I would have easily doubled his tip,  if he was friendly and patient and gentle on my nails and skin   At one point, I was trying really hard not to cry. I was nervous to complain, being one of the last ones in the salon. He did not clean my nails up towards the end, which left my skin stained. I have washed my hands over and over (including a shower)  since getting them done yesterday and is still stained on my skin. The pictures I took today reflect the poor service & quality I had, after paying over $100 for this. My camera quality is not the best, therefore I took multiple pictures and angles showing how cut my fingers are after one day of this service One of the most expensive places I have ever been to, on top of everything. So sorry I had to write a bad review on the salon. Unfortunately, one employee can ruin the whole experience. This was very unsettling. read more

I went into this salon for the first time for a pedicure on Saturday 7/6/24 and I'll never go back. I get pedicures because it feals good to have your feet rubbed and pampered. What I experienced was more like torture. I always opt for callus removal at other places and I've never had a problem. This time I noticed areas of my feet were stinging. I instinctively went to put my feet in the water and the nail tech wouldn't let me. I couldn't figure out what was wrong. By the time I got home I noticed actual cuts in my feet. Today I got a $50 FILL LOL... they up-charged me for 3 things 1: a broken nail (reasonable $5) 2: reshaping my nails from oval to almond (WHAT???...) and 3) for the gel coat nail polish... isn't the polish always included in the fill price... it was a fill and I literally paid for what a full set starting from ZERO should cost... I'm genuinely wondering how much their full sets cost..? $100? Anyways, whatever. I tipped the guy $10 bc he did his job at the end of the day. So a total of $60 spent on my fill today. I sat in booth #5, idk what his name was. He was an older man... not the friendliest, SUPER ROUGH, and his station was very messy. read more

Everyone was welcoming when I arrived and I was seated right away. I didn't catch the name of the woman who did my pedicure, but she did a good job and the massage was wonderful. Finn (sp?) did a fill and reshaped my nails into the coffin shape which I like much better than the square shape I had previously. He smoothed out the bumps and fixed any problems from the last acrylic manicure. He was efficient, listened to what I wanted, and did an amazing job. I'll definitely be back! read more

From out of town, stopped by to get mani and pedi. The lady I had didn't care about giving good quality service. When she was using the cuticle pusher, she barely touched my nails. When she was giving me the massage, it was basically rubbing her hands against my skin with no pressure applied. A sloppy job of trimming my cuticle. Trinity is a girl to go to if u need to get your mani and pedi done! I even let her picked out the nail color for me at last visit since I was slightly indecisive. The only complaint is the strong smell from the nail remover or some sort of chemical smell inside the salon. Just wear the mask and problem is solved! read more

I really enjoy getting my nails done with Cherry. She has a great selection of colors and nail styles and her pricing is very fair. This is family owned business and they all work together to give you the best service in town. I now drive 20 min just to get my mani and pedi done here. Danny was my nail tech and he was rude when I asked him to do his job. Did the Parafin wax treatment and my hands felt dry right after. Wasted 10 dollars. If I come back I will be requesting a different technician. How are you going to have an attitude when someone makes a request for something that it's literally your job to do? How is that ok? I'm all about tipping for a job well done. I hardly "don't tip well" but he had all different choice words to say to everyone around. In English and the other language he spoke. So I tipped him what I thought was fair. 70 dollars. 10 dollars to do the cuticles. 50 for gel. 10 for wax treatment. All in all the nails don't look bad, but the service sucked. Finn (Booth 3) was my nail tech and did a great job with design, however he was very rough and cut me with the nail file. I got acrylic nails, which on their website gives the assumption that they are charged by length. I got 1/2 long mail "extensions" for my manicure. i went in thinking the most i would spend on my manicure was 100$. my boyfriend got gels that came out very beautiful, and were priced accordingly. for my acrylics i paid $200. very overpriced compared to their competitors. Finn was very agitated most time and even hit his vape in the middle of my appointment. I was sitting in the chair for at least 10 minutes before he saw me sitting in front of him. sadly it will be my first and last visit here. read more

I am very picky when it comes to nail salons. Getting my nails done is one of ny few indulgences away from work and family tasks. I look for a salon with great service, a nice environment with kind professional people and Cherrys has it all. I have been coming to Cherrys for about 4 years now and have never had a bad experience. This is a small family owned and run business with a staff that cares about how the customers feel about the services they are getting. Cherry prides herself on her work being well done and the customers being happy. All of the customers, even the kids. I just came from Cherry's and you'll have to excuse me but I am pissed! I had an appointment for 3pm. I was taken for the manicure in a timely fashion and then was sat in a spa chair for a pedicure at 3:20. I sat with my feet in water for over 40 minutes! Other people came in and were sat in spa chairs and attended to. I could tell the one gal told the gentleman who was to do my pedicure that I had been waiting. I told him what I wanted, the luxury pedicure, and he got the products and disappeared. I was apologized to several times by one of the other operators; the gentleman was in back and then came out, he sat at a station, looked at his phone and then went to the back again. By now it was after 4pm. I told the gal who apologized to me that I had to go. She got me a towel to dry my feet and I told the person who I believe ran the salon that sitting in a spa chair for 40 minutes was unacceptable. I paid for my manicure and the people that were waiting asked me what happened. I told them I sat in a spa chair and was ignored for 40 minutes, and that I hoped they received better treatment than I did. I realize they were busy but I did nothing to merit their dismissive behavior other than to make an appointment and show up. There certainly has to be places that provide better service. read more

On the 9th of October, I went in for a gel-polish manicure for my natural nails. I've had a gel manicure many times before, but never like this. It is the 27th of October and it's still going strong. Usually, as the nail grows, the thick polish, near the cuticle, will lift. My hair will get stuck in it, it will chip, and/or I'll pick the polish that has lifted. This has magically not been the case. I have never had a gel manicure last this long. I love Cherry's Nails. We started going back when they first opened and I really love their work. I've been to so many shops in Prescott and even driven out to Prescott Valley and i've never had someone get the shape and design perfect every time. Need to get better at listening to people YOUR customers want. They treat people with disrespect, give you nails the way THEY want. If you ask for long nails they'll give you short nails and even after you show them a simple photo of what you want they don't really great the nails in the picture and even after telling them you want them longer than what they tried to do they completely disregard what you say and do their own thing. Needed to find a salon open on a Sunday as I was going to have surgery next day, looked online and saw this one with good reviews...how did that happen? I showed the guy who was to do my nails my nail with the shape I wanted and even explained straight up and just oval at the top and he nodded his head. He hugely yawned at least 4 times while doing my nails without covering his mouth..yuck. When he started to file, he filed the side of the nail in and when I asked him to please do the nails like I asked he argued with me that he knew oval and was doing it correctly...not really. I just wanted to get it done and get out. I was then charged $$45 for a fill! Are you serious? My regular salon is $38 and the one I had been to the last time as my regulars were on vacation was $38. My friends and I had 12:30 pm appointments, called ahead to see if they happened to have earlier availability and were told to come in at noon. When we got there we were sat fairly quickly. My two friends pedicures began within minutes of being sat, I was left for half an hour waiting to get my pedicure. The water was cold and no one even acknowledged me or let me know what the issue was or that they would get to me soon. What was the point of booking three appointments for the same time to not have our pedicures started at the same time? My two friends were over half way through their pedicures when mine began. My toenails were trimmed down way too far and it felt as though the tech was rushing through since she knew I was now 30 minutes behind my friends. I much rather would've had a pleasant pedicure and nice nails than have her try to play catch up. The end result was not good - my nails are crooked and the polish isn't even. My pinky toe is only half painted and you can see where she applied a second coat without even trying to make them look nice. After my terrible pedicure, I had a manicure. One friend was already done with her manicure while the other had about five minutes left. My friends had to wait for me to get my manicure which once again felt rushed. The male tech cut three of my fingers and didn't even apologize or acknowledge it. I am overall satisfied with my manicure but the entire experience was not good, nor was it worth the very hefty price. Will not be going back. read more

Long post but here goes.. My best friend and I went in to get nails and both people were so rude!! She had a guy and I had a girl I think Laura but that only because the business license one the station was Laura so not super sure.. anyway I wanted a pretty simple design and she gave me a ton of attitude when I showed her. She didn't say a single word the whole time and kept huffing and puffing anytime I said anything. I was really polite the entire time and when she ran the file into my cuticle for the 6th time I pulled my hand away and she snatched it back to her. The nails were PAPER thin.. like flexing to the touch and she had an attitude when I asked her to make them thicker (she did and still they broke as soon as I left because they were still paper thin) That's a small portion of what I had.. My best friend simply asked for gel over her real nails. The guy started clipping all her nails down fully and when she stopped him and asked what he was doing he said he was putting the fake tips on because that's how it's done. The owner came over and said "he's putting those on to even your nails". She's a lot nicer than me so she just said whatever and let him do it even though she didn't want them. When he was cutting them down they were really long and she asked him to do them shorter and he got a full attitude and said "if you wanted them that short I could have just used your real nails and not the fake tips!" Ummmmm yeah that's why she said she wanted gel on her real nails and tried to stop you when you cut her real nails! He cut her fingers so bad that she had cuts on every finger and it burned under water. To boot.. she asked for rounded square so they weren't sharp for her babies and he made them full round. We both ended up filing our own nails at home after. Hers looked like press on nails! Cherry is great but the people she has working for her are ruining the clients she built. So my experience with Cherrys nails first started off amazing. Cherry was so sweet and accommodating to fit my best friend and I into her schedule short notice . I was so appreciative of her willingness to help and excited to check out her salon. We were told to sit in chairs #3 &#4 my friend had gotten an elderly woman and I had an older man helping me. Our experience was the WORST EXPERIENCE for the both of us . My friend was treated so rude and so was I . I had told the guy doing my nails that I wanted a full set , gel on my natural nails . He looks at my fingers and says "do you want them shorter" so I said yes (because my natural nails were kinda long ) he cuts off my finger nails so short and uneven. Then starts to glue on fake nails and I said "oh no I just wanted gel " he was so rude and said "this is that ways it's done". Fast forward he was frustrated with me that I asked him to cut the tips of my now fake nails( because they were long and I explained that I had a baby and didn't want to scratch her) and he said "well I didn't have to cut your real nails and glue these on if you wanted them short " the whole time he was doing my nails he was sighing so loud and was so rough with me . (I have SEVEN cuts on my fingers) I wasn't going to leave a review but this happened yesterday morning and my fingers are still so sore . Then I asked him for a rounded square for my nails , and I got just round . So I went home and filled them to the shape I wanted myself. I am so disappointed and would not recommend going here ever . It's a waste of money . I paid a total of $65 with the tip included. (Even though I didn't want to tip , I still did) and had to go home and fix them. My friend was treated so rude and when she asked for a simple design on her ring finger the woman helping her looked at her and said "he do it , not me " and Kept sighing and puffing . Then my friend asked if she could please make her nails a little thicker and she looks at my friend then starts talking in her native language to the guy helping me . They did that for quite sometime and kept staring at my friend and myself. It was the most uncomfortable experience.. Cherry is very sweet and I don't understand why she has such rude people working for her . They will ruin her name if she doesn't get people who actually care about her and her business. My first-time visit today was a positive experience. Cindy did my pedicure, a basic, plus callus remover, for $37 total. She did an excellent job, careful, gentle, but got the tough skin off. HORRIBLE !!! I had the worst experience with this Salon and Cherry's husband personally. I walked in around 10 am, Cherry informed me that she was booked but if I can wait she would get me taken care of. After waiting and choosing a color I sat in chair #3 Everything was fine until it was time to paint my nails. The color apparently had gotten old and instead of being nude it was Neon orange. While she was painting my nails I asked her if the color was supposed to change.. She kept telling me later. Well when later gets here only one nail is nude and the rest are bright orange. I express that I am not pleased and asked if I can just do white with the glitter on the top. Instead of removing the bright orange color off my nails, the nail tech painted over about 5 coats of nail polish to add 3 coats of white and one of the glitter. They were horrendous (see pictures provided). I have NEVER in my life had a bad nail experience before today. After expressing to Cherry that I was not pleased at all she first said to me "What you don't want to pay for it" trying to make it seem like I was walking out of the salon with out paying. Finally to have someone else remove the polish and paint my nails white. He removed the polish and it took away some acrylic and made the nail SUPER thin. I asked him to fix it and he did not want to fix the nail at all. He said something in his native Language to Cherry and Cherry had to stop what she was doing to come over and try to talk me out of asking it to be fixed. At that point I was frustrated and wanted to pay for whatever it was I received and wanted to go. It was now after 12 pm. Cherry walks to the door and holds it open for me to leave so I walked out. Her husband then followed me out the store recording me and taking pictures of my vehicle. Stating I was just going to take the nails THAT I WAS NOT SATISFIED WITH, with no polish on them and get them done somewhere else! I asked him what his deal was he said I was stealing and that I needed to come back inside and let them cut the nails off. Okay AND?! I didn't want them to begin with. Cherry's husband is very disrespectful and after informing him of everything that happened his only response was "oh" and "Well don't come back" Like I would ever in my life step foot into a place like this in my life again. I've used this nail salon several times. I always make an appointment. Today I was short on time- my appointment was with Tom. After he finished my toes, he said it would be 5-10 minutes wait for someone else to finish my finger nails. He proceeded to start working on the fingernails of a client that came in as a last minute walk-in. After about 15 minutes, I had to leave. I told them I won't be back, my time is valuable, they don't value it. read more

This has to be the worst place I've gotten my nails done. I asked for simple black nails with a design and it looked nothing like the picture. There was acrylic on my skin, the design was completely off, black gel all over my cuticles, and parts of my nail weren't even painted.
