asked for short square plain nails. nail tech told me i should do coffin a design so i said silver design is fine. he did silver and gold and also didn't clean up the access nail polish on my fingers. First time going to this salon and will never go back. I had my nails done at another salon 3 weeks prior and explained to the guy filling my nails that I didn't like the shape and wanted my nails pointy stiletto not almost shape. I also explained I had one tip break off and would need that one finger redone completely. After he was done applying the acrylic and shaping the nails he asked me to look. I noticed that my pinky nail was the right shape but the rest were close but didn't completely match. As he was working on my other hand .. I kept looking down at my other hand because they weren't quite what I was looking for... they were close so I wasn't going to say anything.... He then looks at me asked "What's your problem" I was shocked at what he said and said "excuse me?" And he repeated again louder "what's your problem?" Right in front of a whole salon. I felt like a fool for looking at the nails on my own hand. The nail I needed completely redone because it was broken wasn't fixed at all... I had glued the tip back on so all he did was file it down add more glue at the crack and apply more acrylic. I made it clear that I would pay extra to get that fix. Didn't happen. I wanted a sparkly pink on top of black with my middle finger left black. When I was explaining that to him he shook his head and started laughing once again making me feel like an idiot for what I requested. In the end I paid $70 with tip for a acrylic fill and gel polish and a broken nail that was even fixed. Had he been respectful and not made me feel like a fool I could have easily looked past the shape... a broken nail just being covered up and being disrespected like that makes me feel terrible as a customer. Our new go-to pedicure spot! My wife and I dropped in for pedicures not expecting any openings for walk-ins but we were pleasantly surprised they could get us both in. We waited less than 10 minutes. V and Justin are both very friendly, took great care of us and did an awesome job with our gel pedis! I got the Luxury and my wife got the Deluxe. The difference is a paraffin addition which I love and also your choice of scent in the products used in the higher package. This was the first pedicure ever for my wife and she is hooked. She has in-grown toenails and has always been scared to get a pedi so she was really happy with her positive experience. We will be going back and will make appointments with V and Justin! read more

I have been going to this salon for over a year. Yesterday I had an appointment at 4:00 and I arrived at 3:45 as usual, signed in and sat down to wait my turn. At 4:30, I was still waiting. 4 women came in right around 4:30 and sat down to wait also. At 4:40, one women asked us if we all had appointments at 4:30 and wondered if they always ran behind since this was her first time. Everyone said yes except for me. I said my appt was at 4:00 and I have now been waiting an hour and no one has said a word to me other than the owner asking me what color polish I wanted. Pretty soon one of the techs called one of the women back and sat her at his table and started to do her nails. I was a little confused as I was still waiting for my turn. Then a few minutes later, another Tech gestured to one of the other ladies to come on back. She had never even been there before. I just looked at him and said "really?" He just looked at me and the woman followed him back. I finally got up and left. What a complete waste of my time! The other lady said "I don't blame you. I wouldn't have waited that long." So I guess loyal and repeat customers are just not worth the effort. As a former business owner, I know that customers are very hard to get but if you take care of them, they will come back every time. Well, she just lost a loyal customer. The owner was right there and never said a word or made any attempt to reach out to me. I have referred many people to her over the last year but no more. . read more

This review is based upon the fact that I have given Cherry's many chances. Their manicures/pedicures are better than average. My reason for giving them 2/5 stars is because they do not honor appointment times in the least. I have waited 20 min or more at least 5 times when visiting Cherry's having an existing apointament. The longest wait time with an appointment was 45 min. I understand the long wait as a walk in but they seem to only want to get you in the door which is a poor business practice but clearly they can do it since Prescott is now overpopulated without adequate services to meet the needs. read more

I have been a regular customer for about 8 months. After spending $110 for a pedicure and gel fill just a few day ago, one of my nails cracked across and dropped off - clearly the end part wasn't even attached to my nail. I called for an appointment to get it repaired. I was upset to be charged $12 to fix the one nail. The problem was their fault, as clearly the gel hadn't been applied properly. I told Cherry that I wouldn't be coming back. Very poor customer service. read more

Let me start by saying that I had the best pedicure I have ever had at Cherry's. I was in town for a wedding and didn't have time to get one before I left, so a local recommended this place. I made an appointment for a pedicure, showed up, and after only waiting a few minutes I was told to go to a chair. A woman came over and asked me what "flavor" I would like, she meant scent, and I chose aloe vera. As some time went on I realized that this was a pretty extra involved pedicure. Someone came in and sat next to me and was handed a menu with different choices and prices on it. She chose one. Then Someone else came in and was handed a menu of choices and chose one. I was never offered a menu or any choices, so I looked down and saw one and grabbed it. She had obviously chosen the most expensive pedicure for me - without asking me what I wanted or clarifying what the choices were. The most expensive one on the menu was about $75 as I recall, and I was shocked, but again, it was amazing so I decided to just be fine with it. Then, I went to pay and it was $95!!!! I have no idea why it was so much and I was in too much of a hurry to ask and show my annoyance, so I just paid and even tipped $20. If you are reading this and you work at or own Cherry's, this is a terrible business practice. Please don't charge people $95 and never even ask them which service they would like. read more

I was visiting from out of town and decided to get a pedicure. I took the chance walking in and was able to be accommodated. Cherry did my pedicure. During our conversation I found out she had opened her shop 1 week prior to the COVID shut down. I felt so dang bad for her. First starting a new business and second for having to work on my jacked-up feet...not having a pedicure for 5 months. She did a beautiful job. The shop was clean and followed social distancing. Everyone wore masks. Even the manicure stations had plexiglass between technician and client. read more

Spent 65$ today on a FILL and it took 2 hours. They were very rough and I got switched between different people and had an appointment.

I was so sad when I heard that the previous owners had moved away because I loved their work. However Cherry texted me and invited me to try her new salon out so I did- ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! Everyone is so sweet, they all pay great attention to detail plus they are quick as well! Prices are reasonable and they are all just so delightful! My nails were also very damaged since I bite them- that was no problem for that salon to handle! I have Toan do my nails there, however they are all wonderful from what I have seen! I get to treat myself to a professional mani & pedi maybe once a year, and as a new mom who also works full time, it seems like even less than that. As a special Mother's Day surprise, my husband booked me an appointment at Cherry's yesterday. When I was walked back to the pedicure chair, I was asked what kind of nails I wanted I first said acrylic, but quickly revoked and said "oh no actually I want gel, not acrylic" upon remembering how much acrylics had damaged my nails the 3 other times in my life I had gotten them. The tech looked at me like he understood. The woman in the pedicure chair next to me ordered the same pedicure as me, began hers first, and enjoyed a longer massage than me and a longer overall pedicure. Not to mention, the Polish on my toes is already chipping. Now, my hands. Mind you, I only get my nails done once a year, so I'm not super familiar with how all of the product application process looks. The tech asked me if I wanted to add lengthening tips, and since I had originally said I didn't want acrylics, I said no, just my natural nails. I showed him a reference photo of what I wanted and he went to work. I saw a friend there & began chatting with her as he did my nails but assumed he was doing gel because I had asked for gel. He didn't talk to me at all during the manicure and he didn't even do the design on my nails, he asked Cherry to come do it. When I was checking out, I saw that I was charged for acrylic nails and said "wait, this is acrylic? I asked for gel." Cherry then told me "You asked for acrylic when you came in." So I said "Yes, but then I said no never mind, I want gel, not acrylic. If I had known it was acrylic, I would've done longer nails (since one of my natural nails is broken shorter than the others - why would I want uneven nails if I'm knowingly doing acrylic anyway? )" She didn't offer any solutions or make any attempt to rectify their mistake, so I said "I mean it's whatever I guess, they're already done." So I just paid and left. After leaving, I called my husband to cry and vent because I was so disappointed. The nails I got were not only the wrong type (acrylic, not gel) but also poor quality. The lines on my design are chunky, not sleek like the reference photo I showed, the filing and shape of each nail is inconsistent with the others, and one of my nails looks like there's dust trapped under the acrylic. Not to mention they hurt from the thickness of acrylic, which again, I didn't want. My husband called to complain for me because he knew I was upset and they told him that I didn't know what I wanted, but I could come back in to get them fixed. The times they said I could go to get them fixed didn't work for me as I had work. So I called the salon back and explained how unhappy I was and that I did not have time to go redo everything. They proceeded to argue with me and invalidate my personal experience with them. The man I spoke on the phone with repeatedly asked me in a condescending tone "how did you not know he was doing acrylic? Why did you wait til the end to say anything?" I explained that I didn't know he was doing acrylic, I thought he was doing gel like I asked for, as I get my nails done once a year and don't remember what the different application processes look like. He did not accept my explanation and proceeded to speak to me like I was stupid, but kept calling me "ma'am" like that make it ok. He was very rude and disrespectful throughout the whole convo. He said "Fine, come get a refund, you get a free full set today" as if I was plotting to just get a free set from the beginning. I went for my refund but Cherry said she apparently has never given a refund, which by the sounds of other negative reviews, I believe, so she doesn't know if she did it right, & that if I don't see the money back in my account within 3 days to come back & she'll give me cash. I'm honestly just over it at this point. At least they gave a refund after arguing and disrespecting for 20 min., but we'll see if I actually get that money. Terrible service & quality. read more

I stumbled upon this salon because the one I usually go to is closed on Sunday! I originally made an appointment for two people but my friend ended up not being able to make it. Cherry was very sweet and understanding! There are so many nail colors to choose from and all of them are dazzling! I like to keep my nails as natural as possible. I don't get any acrylic. Cherry did such an amazing job on them that they look like a full set!! She shaped them exactly how I wanted and painted the gel polish so that it wasn't too thick. They are remodeling but still accepting clients and being very accommodating! I would HIGHLY recommend Cherry!! read more

So, I don't know what happened but the last several times I've been to Cherry's I've gotten a very cold attitude from Cherry and Tom. Mind you, I've been a steady customer since I first found them, I tip VERY well and I'm always polite, complimentary and friendly so I'm perplexed at the attitude I've gotten. It makes me feel very unappreciated and unwelcome. The last time I was there my appt was at 12:30, I wasn't seen until almost 1:00 with no acknowledgment that she was running late. Once seated, I tried to strike up a casual conversation with Cherry mentioned how windy it was and she literally did not respond. I told her I was going on vacation to Hawaii and nothing! Not a single comment. I noticed that she totally chatted up the next lady she did asking how her daughter was and laughing with her. Very puzzling. After my nail fill I was told what chair to sit in for my pedicure with Tom who was finishing up another client. No one turned the water on and I sat there for over 10 minutes while Cherry walked by twice and didn't even look in my direction. I finally got someone's attention and asked if she could please turn on the water which she did. I've decided I'm not going to pay that kind of money to feel unappreciated and disrespected so I'm not going back. Hopefully, I can find somewhere that appreciates a regular, good tipping customer. Too bad, I really liked this place and told everyone to go there. I'm very disappointed. read more

Where do I begin...walking in I felt some weird vibes. I wasn't greeted or acknowledged in any way. The woman said go pick out the color but I wasn't sure which samples I was supposed to look at. Now mind you, I've had many many manis and pedis in my life, and I've never been treated like this before. Even the ambience looked more like a factory then a nail salon. Yuck! So I get a pedi first. She moved so slowly I thought that maybe it was her first pedi. Then the gel mani...she went so fast and never spoke a word. I felt like I was an imposition to her. So once done I realized my mani pedi were different colors. I commented about it the nail person and she said it looks the same. I went outside and they weren't even close to my pedi. I shouldn't have paid for it and what's worse I tipped them both! 3 days later I went in to the salon and complained about the nail colors. Worst experience ever. She said they would redo the color on my feet to match. She told me to pick a color that was close to my pedi. So what did they do??? Painted my toes without taking the original polish off. Tia was absolutely rude, rough and disrespectful just too mention a few points of a bad pedicure gone even worse. Her lack of knowledge and customer service are highly evident. When asked about the multiple imperfections on my gel pedicure she became extremely defensive rude and verbally abusive. Tia literally forcefully and intentionally grabbed my toes by pinching each one she painted,slammed my ankles into the edge of water basin and roughly slammed the hot rocks into my ankles that are now starting to bruise. The massage lasted less than a minute. It seemed it was an imposition for Tia to perform her job. I have had many pedicures this was an unbelievably incomplete painful torturous pedicure. Crazy to have had 2 amazing pedicures here without this craziness. When checking out after such a horrific experience Cherry stated "I don't know what's wrong with Tia today" The whole time Cherry was looking back to make sure Tia wouldn't hear the conversation. Cherry was very apologetic and stated that I should ask never to be placed with Tia?! Sorry Cherry your very sweet but, I will never be back to experience that craziness again! I will not recommend this establishment to anyone as well! I will be reaching out to the state board of cosmetology for further direction. read more

I have had dip nails for years. I visited Cherry's because they were open on a holiday. Bad experience - I should have known when they poured acetone into a plastic baggie and stuck my whole hand in the bag to remove the old set that it was not going to end well. The drill is the only thing they used to get the somewhat softened product off. Dip nails are meant to be better for your nails because there is supposed to be no drilling other than to remove the final top coat. Also, there is a finishing product that is the final top coat - they got a bit beligerent because I wouldn't use the gel topcoat that goes under the lights. She tried to convince me that the only top coat for dip nails is the gel topcoat with the lights. Wrong. Finally one sweet young girl offered to finish and went to get the appropriate product. Worst of a bad situation, 3 broken nails in 6 days. Save yourself the time and $$. They depend on visitors who have no recourse if something goes wrong. She even asked me if I was a visitor - I have lived here over 20 years. read more
