I came with my Mom as she came to register for the Beaumont run. The young lady at the counter was amazing, super friendly and professional. Unfortunately, her male coworker had some serious stank face. The dude acted like he owned Beaumont and looked us up and down. I hate when people have low self esteem and take it out on others. Albert Chatigny is free to visit and has plenty of parking. However, I saw many cars waiting in the wings as community events are very popular. It's nice to see community members value their local hubs.

When we first moved to Beaumont and the kids were small we came here for the monster mash at Halloween. It was a fun, free event that the kids got to play games and earn candy and surprises. We have come for events like building your own stuffed animal, and our little loved it! We also come here for the volleyball league, and way back when we came for toddler soccer. With the exception of an employee who no longer runs the volleyball program, everyone who we have encountered has been very helpful and friendly. There are always fun events going on as well as blood drives. They have all kinds of flyers on the desk for all kinds of events going on, definitely something for everyone!

Last week there were four new students and so she's willing to go out of her way to start at 1:30 this week to teach us the basic steps in Hula. They dance to about 6-8 songs so it's pretty crazy to remember the steps on all of them. The ladies who are there now have been there for about two years so they are well-grounded. Yoyo provides the hula skirts and leis too. They have been asked to perform in a church function and personal events.

Women's bathroom was completely disgusting with only two available stalls and broken doors that didn't close plus no paper towels. The fields are janky with tall tufts of grass, a bunch of dirt and electrical boxes on their soccer fields. Balls don't even roll, they wonky bounce every where. I…read morefirst joined because my friends told me about the two hours of free childcare included with membership, and as a new mom, that sounded amazing. At the time, our income was low, but the Y offered scholarships, which made it possible for us to join. We received a 50% scholarship, and it truly was a blessing. It gave me time to work out, take classes, and just have a little "me time" while my baby was safe and cared for. Now that my son is in preschool, I have the flexibility to come at any time, and I love that freedom. The childcare hours used to be limited to mornings (around 8 to 12) and a bit in the afternoon (around 3:30), but now I just come whenever I can. I usually do my own workouts since the group class times don't always fit my schedule, but there's such a great variety, swimming, tap, pilates, fusion, and so much more. Another thing I love is the sense of community. I often see friends from church here, and it feels like an extension of that family atmosphere. The staff is generally friendly, though a few could be a bit more personable, but overall, they're helpful and kind. For the value, variety, and community, the YMCA has been such a big part of my life these past few years. I'm so grateful for it, and I can honestly say, I love the Y!

It's a great facility for kids as they have a lot of classes. It has a large workout area but I hate the setup. All the machines are so colse together that a bunch of them are facing each from across. I like my space and it feels so cramped. That we don't come here anymore.

It's best to make a reservation online for a specific time that you want to swim so you don't have to share a lane ($5 for non-residents, $1 for residents). You can make these reservations online up to 30 minutes before your desired start time; lanes are available up to two weeks in advance. There are limited drop-in spaces. Swimmers must be at least 12 years of age and able to swim continuous laps. Restrooms are available for you to change, as well as an outdoor shower to rinse off the chlorine. Just keep swimming!

When I called again today, June16, 2025 at 6:25 pm I spoke with someone who identified himself as Craig. He informed me that tryouts had occurred at 5pm today and suggested I go to the middle school immediately. When I asked for clarification on the location, he mumbled the school's name, making it difficult to understand. I requested an email with the details for confirmation, but he refused. I then asked to speak with someone else due to the communication issues, and he again refused. I asked if I could receive a refund due to the lack of communication and was only met with a laugh on the other end. This lack of organization, poor communication, and unprofessional response has been very disappointing. I hope future improvements are made for the sake of other families relying on your programs.

In the middle of this very rural area, sparsely populated and laced with dirt roads, sits this amazing oasis of desert energy and local community culture. Programs include First Saturday Breakfast cooked and served by an all-volunteer staff ($5). Delicious and you sit at community tables with super-friendly desert dwellers. First Tuesday Bingo is a hoot and there's a CAKE break for $1. In addition there's a USDA Food Distribution for low-income residents, a PTSD group, monthly board meeting and an incredible THRIFT STORE open during events. Rock bottom prices and new stuff all the time. Summers bring movies in the outfield screened against a cargo container. Come get a taste of the desert at a community center kept open purely with member funding. You'd be hard pressed to find another place as wonderful as the Copper Mountain Mesa Community Center.
