The price to spend (AN UNLIMITED) time with the cats is $13, which is a GREAT deal compared to the other cat cafes I've been to in LA or San Diego! The cats are well cared for, and the workers are very attentive, making sure to keep an eye on both you and the kitties during your visit. You are allowed to pick up the cats and snuggle as long as you are being mindful of the cats' comfort and body language- another difference between this cat cafe and the others I've visited. This place is also a nonprofit so anything you purchase goes towards caring for the cats, and all of the little knickknacks they have for sale are pretty cute and reasonably priced too! The most impressive aspect of Unity Home is that they address such a diverse variety of issues when it comes to domestic abuse and its painful cycle. With their amazing team of staff, volunteers, and generous donations - they are able to help victims and their families with the following things: Supervised Visitation Assistance filing a Temporary Restraining Order Individual Counseling Parenting Classes State-Mandated 40 hr. Domestic Violence Training Food Basket & Hygiene Items Emergency Shelter for up to 30 Days Transitional Housing (for clients who apply and qualify) Teen Dating Violence Prevention Tools Legal Aid Childcare Court Support Morongo Basin Unity Home is available to the community 24 hours a day, seven days a week and you can call their hotline at any time for assistance and advice. Little did we know that this would be one of the highlights of our trip. Not only were the stars beautiful but we met a very nice and passionate scientist who decided to chat with us and teach us all about the constellations. It was such a treat. He and his wife were finishing up and packing away their telescopes and he told us that they were going to lock the gate of the parking lot that our cars were parked in, but let us know that we could move our car right outside of the gate and stay all night if we wanted to because it was open 24 hours. He also warned us about the coyotes and cougars. Coyotes stay away with noise and cougars are attracted to noise, so pick your battle lol. We definitely can't wait to come back! And it's free!

He's been able to participate in all aspects of learning horsemanship, which has not only built his skills but also his confidence. He has become dedicated and is always wanting to do his best when completing tasks. What we didn't expect--but are so grateful for--is how therapeutic this experience has been, especially with his favorite superhero horse, Murphy. Being around the horses has had a calming effect on him, and the ranch has become a safe, peaceful place where he feels comfortable and supported. It has also been a great success in helping with his fine motor delays. The staff are incredibly loving, patient, and understanding. They take the time to connect with each individual and create an environment where everyone can thrive at their own pace. It's clear they genuinely care, and that makes all the difference. We are so thankful to have found Wild Wind Ranch. It's been a meaningful and positive experience for our son, and myself gaining wonderful friendships.
