This was my first visit to Cherry Valley Nails & Hair. I'm 38 weeks pregnant and was looking for somewhere close to my house that would be easy to get an appointment where they actually take you at your appointment time. I read reviews and made an appointment with Ashley based off a lot of people recommending her and saying she is great. They did not lie! She is fantastic and very friendly. It felt easy to chat with her and she did a great job on my gel manicure/pedicure. Even though I don't get my nails done often I will definitely be returning here the next time that I do. read more

Sorry it wasn't a better experience. Got a Apre gelX. Spent $30 plus a $10 tip. Drive off and 5 minutes later, one nail popped off. Another 15 minutes and another popped off. Maybe it's my nail beds, but an hour later, there was lifting and I ended up pulling off all my nails. So sad. Waste of money. I didn't like how they looked or felt. The women who work here are very friendly and their interactions read as genuine. They seemed to know many of the women who came in by name which was very nice. I'm not sure if it's because I've never had acrylics done in this fashion, but when I get home and looked over my hands I noticed so many mistakes. The acrylic is lumpy and uneven and my finger nails appear stubby and awkward. I run my fingertips over the nails and they are wavy with poor finish and the shapes of the nails vary in width, thickness, and the polish is missing from the tops and some of the sides. Thinking about it, it wasn't even a true manicure as there was no cuticle clean up or other treatments that I considered standard in most salons experiences. I noticed a few imperfections when I was at the salon and the girl was quick to fix them but as I continued to point them out, she seemed distracted and made me shy to point out. I found it very unusual that she asked me to point out problems, as if to hand over responsibility to me. I'm very unsure how someone with such much experience in this field would find it appropriate to let me leave with my nails like this. Had I seen them in better lighting, I probably would have requested them to be done over. I will probably go to another salon to have them replaced. Shame that such lovely women provide such crummy quality. I won't be returning. read more

I have come to the salon on more than one occasion. I always ask for Sheena, she has done my eyelash extensions, a haircut and color, and she's done the hair of my other half. She was always courteous, professional, and never has a rude thing to say about anyone in the salon. If she Left the salon I would definitely not be a patron. I give Sheena five stars. There is another person who works there, that you always hear her talking rough around the edges, not proper business language, is not pleasant, and is always eavesdropping on the conversation I'm having with my stylist. My first visit to this nail salon surprisingly took about half the time as a different place took in Banning.....Surely not as thorough, and the employee never even asked me about my large calluses nor did any treatment on them. WHY? And, as other Yelpers have mentioned, there is way, way too much banter between waiting customers and the workers serving the customers. In fact, mine was 15 to 20 minutes of yacking with a lady seated who bitched and complained about everything under the sun for a good portion of MY time with MY pedicurist. It is the employee's duty to stop this sort of B.S. from happening by going over to the waiting person (even if a friend) and telling them to "shut up when I'm with a customer." I really enjoyed coming here! I got eyelash extensions done and the lady who gave me them was super sweet and really kind. She talked me through everything and made sure I was comfortable and she was very reassuring. I really loved the way they looked and it was so worth the money! Rachelle is AMAZING!! I get my nails done often and it always makes me nervous when I go to a new-ish (for me) place. I used to live in this area and came here once. It was nice but the drive out here didn't seem worth it...TILL NOW!! Oh my gosh I LOVE it here!! Place is clean, chairs are nice and if I wanted to get my hair done too I totally could!! What's cool too is they give you your own nail stuff so you're never sharing with someone else!! Hygiene is so important!! No fungus for this girl!! Rachelle is the owner and she definitely takes pride in her work! She's an artist!! She isn't happy till I'm happy!! I'm going on a mission trip to Honduras and wanted to be festive!! Spot ON!! It's such a bummer this place is disappointing. Living right around the corner me and my family have tried this place several times. It's impossible to get service without an appointment. With an appointment they're always running late. Each time I walk in, not a single employee says hello or even acknowledges that there's another person in the room. After waiting for 15 minutes after my scheduled appointment of sitting there I am acknowledged and informed "[shes] running behind". ...uh obviously. Furthermore, it just looks like this place is trying to do too much. They've got mani/pedi, hair stylist , piercing, massage therapist, waxing, babies in car seats and only 3 people employed in one small space. I made an appointment online the day before, have had a painful ingrown toenail and wanted a mani pedi. I walked in to the most unprofessional atmosphere. The only employee there told me to just "hi, sit down", I did arrive a bit early, and then continued talking to her client using very inappropriate language. They were discussing very personal issues, and you can tell the customer was bothered by the employees word choice including f**k and whatnot. Ten minutes past my appointment went by (no big deal really), and she didn't even acknowledge me. Could have at least drawn the water...very disappointed. Won't be going back. read more

One of the worst pedicures I've had. There was no cuticle trim; they weren't even pushed back. Only one coat of polish was applied, and my nails look awful. The entire thing was done inside of 10 minutes. This place charges way too much for what is essentially nothing more than a polish change -- and a bad one at that. ***In response to your response: No, it was not a polish change; it was a pedicure! You've already messaged me privately (owner) and I told you that you're the one (owner) that provided the pedicure. When I was there, I asked you how long you had worked there. The manicurists are nice but the place is dirty. The wonan who did my nails was sloppy. Her utensils were old, not sharp and ratty looking. When she was ready to do my pedi, I sat down and looked in the foot bowl and it was crusty and had a black hair in it! She didn't even clean the bowl before she sat me down! She just put a plastic liner over the bowl. There was nail dust ALL OVER from other peoples manicures; her manicure table was covered in other people's nail dust as well as the soap dispenser and shelves where she sent me to wash my hands. Sub par work and nasty salon. I'd rather pay more and have a quality job done in a clean environment where things are clean and sterilized properly. Germ city!!! read more

First let me start by saying that the owner Rachelle is an excellent nail technician. She does great acrylics, pedicures and even gels which for some reason my body rejects. Must be something to do with my body chemistry, although they look great when first applied. Second she is just a plain really nice person. I have been going to her on and off for a while due to health issues which I am almost done with and was ready to be back full time as I tend to be a very loyal customer once I find someone I am happy with and I was. So I went in for a regular fill yesterday and had one nail which had come off. It was a regular two week appointment. I have an excellent memory and when I first started there she told me that as long as I came in within the regular two week appointment, there would be no charge for a broken or missing nail, or more. After that time period there was a $5 charge. So she charged me $5 for the missing nail and then told me that it was within one week. If you're going to change the rules, I will abide by them but I would like advance notice. I realize she is paying off debt from expanding her salon but I have had massive debt from medical expenses from the past 2 1/2 years. So there's that. I do NOT NEED nails. I would have stayed a regular nail and occasional pedicure customer for ever. This is not a socialist country yet and even if it were, she is not the government and not entitled to redistribute wealth as she pleases. After I made my next appointment and got home, I began to think about it and decided it wasn't fair. So I called and cancelled my appointment. Again, I DO NOT NEED nails. I feel prettier with them but they are not necessary to my life. Now she has missed an opportunity of me being a loyal customer for ever over $5. Was it worth it? That is the only reason I did not give 5 stars. read more

I going to be very honest, first time here the ladies were very nice, my acrylic nails however weren't as I wanted them to be. I got the white tip. For $35 dollars I was hoping for super natural nice nails. My nails weren't measured, the powder on a few nails are bumpy, & you can see some of the white powder that hadn't set yet, on the side of the nails. Worst pedicure and haircut ever. Haircut was two inches longer on the left side. The pedi consisted of a foot wash in plain water, nail trim, lotion and polish. Nails snagged on sheets all night. Had to go to another salon for redo's. I do not think that Sheena actually has a cosmetology license or pasted state board. I also did not see any sanitation done in the tub before my pedicure which is against the sanitation laws of California and will be reported to state board. read more

I won a gift card to Cherry Valley Nails so I thought I'd try it out. Made an appointment yesterday for 1:00 pm today for a pedicure and gel manicure I arrived about 12:50 and I was surprised because it was not a large salon....it has 1 hair station, 3 or 4 nail stations and 3 or 4 pedicure stations....very unlike all the others that have a lot of people at one time. There was only one young woman working and she got started right away on my pedicure then when she finished she took me to her nail station and I was done by 2:20. I think found my new salon!
