I used to buy Cheryl's Cookies all the time, for myself, for work, for friends, for family, had boxes of them in my fridge. Now the shipping is outrageous (example $30 for one shipment, shipping is as high as the cost of the cookies)! The price of the cookies is also outrageous ($3 per cookie, for cookies that are now smaller than they used to be)! The website is not organized very well, needs search filters. Don't get same results each time you query. Highest priced items come up first. Nothing is priced low enough to be able to afford. I shopped for hours, for days, finally got one result that I could afford to buy and ship. I went back to reorder the same thing for other family members, and got an error, that the product was no longer available, also the only products available were full price, no deals. Extremely disappointed in what used to be a good company and good product. Also, the delivery on the one box I ordered was delayed two or three days, for no reason, so family will receive them late. Initially, the estimated delivery date was 12/24, but then UPS tracking changed it to 12/26. I am a past recipient of Cheryl's cookies and absolutely loved them. This year I wanted to order for my daughter's boyfriend who recently moved away for college. I placed my order Dec 9th for delivery today 12/18 for his birthday. When I checked the status of the order, it showed shipping label was created on 12/14 and nothing else. When I contacted customer service they said that they could not see anything done with it. They offered to resend with a $15 credit on another order. I declined. Her boyfriend would be home this weekend and not back until January. So disappointed. We were really looking forward to surprising him. We have been ordering these cookies for over 10 years now. Our families favorite, the buttercream frosted cookies. They are individually wrapped and absolutely delicious! They use the finest ingredients and we have sent these cookies to so many people over the years. For Christmas, Valentine's Day, birthdays, graduations & thank you's. We ordered cookies for the nursing staff at a hospital. The cookies were to be delivered to our niece so she could make sure they got to the right people. First there were multiple delays. Then they said they were delivered. Our niece never got them so maybe somebody got to enjoy them if they were actually delivered. I truly think there needs to be a ranking available for when a business is undeserving of even a 1 star review. This is such the case with Cheryl's cookies. First, I have to start my review by saying that I should have learned my lesson last year when I had issues (pretty much the same as this year) However; customer service handled things nicely so I figured it was a one time thing. Huge mistake on my part! This year, again, I saw on Brads Deals a link for Valentine's cookies. I went to the site to place my order. On the order page it tells you when your item will be delivered approximately. Or you can opt to pay $3.00 extra for what they call "Exact Day Delivery". Which I opted for, seeing as though I would be out of town. I scheduled my delivery for Thursday Feb 13. Yet, on Monday Feb. 10th, my cookies were delivered! I wasn't even in townvto get them. Obviously they are a surprise and I didn't want my husband to get the mail. So I had to call around for someone to get my mail(is the short version of this). I gave them the cookies since they had to drive an hour to help me out. Obviously I called customer service immediately and I emailed. I still haven't received any emails back from customer service. The man who I spoke with, who I could barely understand, apologized. And to my surprise told me that even though the website states that if you pay the extra fee for what the site claims will be "Exact Day Delivery" that it isn't actually true. It's still just an estimate and only means that it will ship quicker than the other standard delivery method. What a bunch of crap! Why make false claims? After a long drawn out conversation, he said he would ship me out new cookies. He would ship them 2 day air and I would for sure (I confirmed several times) receive them by Friday. I would receive my confirmation email after we hung up. Which I never did. I called the next day, they showed the order placed and for sure I would receive it Friday. Great, I was relieved. Still never received the email though. 7:00 tonight (Thursday) I receive an email that my order has shipped and will be here Monday, February 17. Are you kidding me? Why would anyone want there Valentine's Day gift cookies delivered after the actual holiday? So, once again, I called customer service. Customer service is horrible, they are super slow at responding and they say they can't make changes because it's currently being shipped and honestly I don't know how you can mess up shipments that bad, since it's an easy go from point A to point B and not zig zagging throughout the many states we have in the US. I made 2 separate orders: 1st order on 1/25/22 for a 2/11/22 delivery date to Los Angeles, CA and I've been tracking the package and it's flying left and right all over the US. Right now it somehow made it back to Grove City, OH which was where it was on 2/8/22 (the date it was 'supposedly shipped out'). Somehow it's made it to Missouri, Illinois, Texas, and Arizona as of yesterday. Then just right now I get notified that it's back in Grove City, OH and it says that my delayed delivery is now 2/20/22 which is horrible since I was hoping to have them for Valentine's Day. But now it's going to be thrown in the trash. 2nd order on 2/5/22 and shipped out 2/10/22 for 2/12/22-2/17/22 arrival. This one is expected to arrive 2/18/22 but I'm not sure what will happen since it's been all over Ohio and is still there. I am very very very disappointed with Cheryl's. I just received a cookie tower as a gift from my husbands uncle! I was super excited and then I opened the package. Good 1. Beautiful packaging 2. No preservatives Bad 1. Everything is individually packaged (think a fancy hostess/little Debbie) 2. The majority of the basket is small butter cream cookies (loft house cookies). 3. The shortbread cookies (typically my favorite cookie) are awful! My toddlers who will eat anything called a cookie spit them out. I ate one. In all save your money. At the beginning of December, I ordered my grandmother a cake for her birthday to be delivered on 12/26. It said it was delivered to a "mailbox" on 12/22, with no address attached to it. I called 1800 flowers on 12/26 and they reshipped it to be delivered on 1/5/24. It says it was delivered on 1/6/24 to a "mailbox" in Midland, MI. This is so disappointing and frustrating. Most disgusting things ever tasted. They are literally not baked at all.. right out of the bowl dough. I could not give them away to anyone. I couldn't lick beaters as a toddler as it was uncooked & nauseous. I guess they can pretend it's a thing to eat raw dough and save themselves time & baking equipment costs. They also have thick frosting on them that I can't stand on anything, so could not just put in the oven & bake them. They were for my birthday so I don't usually say when something is bad but this is the exception so they don't waste money sending to others. They usually find a new place & send for all occasions that year. These were 24 box. How hard would it be to offer cookie dough or regular baked cookies. They mold in a couple of days if you don't freeze when received. I think if they baked them like normal cookies they would last as normal cookies. I sent out two cookie orders on 9/23/2020, one to my parents and another to my in-laws. It was a small gift, each item was a $9.99 six cookie sampler with free shipping. I first called in mid October, the representative told me that the order was lost in transit by the shipping company. The representative spoke very broken English, which is a huge pet peeve of mine when I am dealing with customer service agents on the phone. They had NO RECORD of my previous phone call, how aggravating. She asked me who I spoke to, like it's my fault??!?! I didn't write down the persons name. So she eventually offers to send a replacement item, then I am on hold for about 20 minutes. Supposedly, this item is being replaced and shipped. This has involved 1 hour of my time on phone calls for a $9.99 gift. I guess no good deed goes unpunished!!!!! Nearly six weeks and this item is not delivered, it looks like others have been having similar issues based on the Yelp reviews. I saw these cookies on QVC several times, and they looked delicious and cute. I wanted to try them for a long time, and I finally ordered a six piece Halloween box. The decorating was on point, but the overwhelming taste was just sweet with some butter undertones. The cookie was so soft that it almost seemed damp, and the icing was sickeningly sweet.
