Super cute place with thee best cookies! I'm not big on sweets but my fiance is so we went and the staff was so friendly and helpful. I tried the cinnamon roll cookie and man soooo good! Sweet but not over the top. My fiance got chocolate chip, cookies and cream and chocolate chip peanut better. Loved them. Cookies and cream were my second fav. There may be some chain cookie spots in the neighborhood, but why support them when Lion Cub's reigns supreme? I've been to the store in Grandview a few times but recently I ordered delivery for the first time. I was a little worried that they would get cold during the transfer, but that worry was silly. My cookies arrived about 40 minutes later and they were STILL WARM. I was shocked. They came in a mini pizza-style box with great branding and even a seal to confirm that they hadn't been opened during the drop off. This time around I got their classic chocolate chip, their pumpkin option, a chocolate Reeces, and a cinnamon one with white chocolate (which was the star of the show). These cookies are huge so plan to share, even if only getting four like I did. While they are pricy ($20 for 4 large cookies), they're worth it in my honest opinion. I actually wouldn't recommend going here because all you will think about is when is the next time you are going back. This place is unreal. Great service, great flavors, and GREAT cookies! Reviews have been amazing for these cookies and I have had these before at a Yelp YES function and remember liking them... so I stopped in thinking to try a variety that had not had before. Warning this isn't the glowing review of most: wasn't super impressed with the shop. The clerk was friendly but talked too much and the shop felt.... Unfinished. Messy. Maybe that affected me, because after I ordered two cookies and I just wasn't blown away. These cookies are huge and have a lot of rise. The cookie I bit into (after I drove away) wasn't fully baked. It was Oreo stuffed but I couldn't really make out any taste (and no, I don't have or have had covid!). The other cookie just was also lacking any buttery taste. A chocolate chip cookie should have a slight taste of butter, and not overwhelmingly taste like playdoughish flour. My takeaway: It's a cookie that is truly novel and hyped up. Good the first time you have them but afterwards.... They are non spectacular. Give me a gold old-fashioned (flatter) toll house cookie that grandma bakes any day over these. And again, we(lovely Mrs came along for the drive) drove three hours to pick up six for my birthday dinner. The folks running those store are so nice. Lion Cubs has become a Columbus staple and for good reason! Locally owned and great products. Its a small store front that's essentially a bakery with an order counter. Staff has always been friendly and their cookies are very fresh. I'm a sucker for their chocolate chip but will say the rotating flavors have been a bit hit and miss for me. They make large cookies that are crisp on the outside and gooey in the middle (secret is they're slightly underbaked, think medium rare cookie). This is a great business model and the store is staffed by really friendly people. You can order cookie packs in various sizes online (1,4,6, etc) and they have a rotating weekly menu of flavors. I suggest scheduling cookie pickup for an off hour, as parking is really tough on Grandview Ave. As others have said, they have perfected the crispy outside and soft, gooey inside cookie. For my personal taste they were way too sweet, but I get what people love about them. I also thought all of the cookie flavors kind of tasted the same, except for the incredible chocolate peanut butter flavor. These cookies have to be my favorite of all time! They are so good and definitely worth every penny. My favorite used to be the Chocolate Chip until recently when tried the Puppy Chow. The chocolate chip however is warm vanilla base with melty semi-sweet chocolate chips. Thanks to the advise of Hunter, I was able to try the Puppy Chow and my new favorite has warm peanut butter base packed with gooey semi-sweet chocolate chips, topped with a creamy vanilla frosting, crunchy puppy chow and a sprinkle of sweet powdered sugar. I think I am in love with it. It's so good and I cannot wait to get another. I went on their website while making this review and there are so many cookies I want to try that I might need to make an order. Cute little bakery in Grandview! I was greeted kindly and it smelled soooo good. The A/C was freezer-cold and the space itself was super clean and simple in a nice way. I treated myself to two cookies to go - both chocolate chip ($4 each) and, though each was a generous sharing size, it was too sweet for me. The other flavors on rotation that day/week weren't flavors I'd try because i was afraid they would be too sweet, too. Honestly a bit of a let-down because I really had hoped to love and support more often. No shade on the sugary cookie lovers, of course! These just aren't my favorite. We were greeted with smiles and welcomes. They have a small fresh cookie selection but they are good size and well stuffed inside. The girls got the triple chocolate cookie. They are messy but the chocolate in the center was oozing out. I got Banana Cookie, it had a wonderful flavor that was sweet but refreshing. Highly recommend! I'm so glad these amazing cookies finally have a storefront I can swing by! My first lion club cookie was when they did the banana pudding cookies for hot chicken take over, and wow. Just, wow. Unfortunately being organized enough to remember to order cookies online wasn't happening so I have been very impatiently waiting for the Grandview location to open. These cookies are HUGE and they are AMAZING. In fact, they're big enough that you won't mind letting your kids try the flavor you picked out. The menu changes weekly so that makes it easy to justify going every weekend. So far the puppy chow has been my favorite but I'm hoping to see the banana pudding make a come back. I just love a business that has one thing they've perfected, there's no guess work here. They have fantastic cookies, and they also some beverages to wash those cookies down with. The cookie crazy in Columbus is growing and although the other one(I won't mention is bigger it isn't better, in my opinion) I was introduced to loin's cub cookies by my wife who received a gift card from one of her students. We tried them and wow, we were hooked! Tonight we met friends in grandview for a early birthday dinner and decided to hit up loin's cub for dessert. I got the new French toast cookie for syrup taste in the shortbread cookie topped with powder sugar and maple frosting it was really good, my wife got the chocolate chip cookie that is offered daily.
