Placed an order for Cheryl's cookies on 12/25/24 around 11:30pm and asked to edit my order the next morning at 9:48am, 12/26/24 via chat/text. The associate I spoke with (Kristine) said that was not possible anymore since the order has been confirmed. I asked what confirmed meant and I was told "it means that your order was already confirmed, and ready to go to transit". So, I then asked the associate if my order had been shipped yet. That associate said no. I then asked the associate about the information that was sent in the bill that was emailed to me after my order was placed. I even sent a snapshot of it in the chat/ text. That information reads "Please note: if your order has already been shipped or delivered, we cannot make any changes or cancellations". But my order hadn't been shipped yet, or at least that is what I was told by Kristine the associate . After many endless texts about technicalities, it seemed like that chat kept going in circles. I was even sent that text companies send when they think they haven't heard from you in awhile and want to close out the chat. But it was weird because I was still actively chatting with Kristine. So I asked for a supervisor. I was then asked for my number and eventually gave it after asking why I couldn't text with the supervisor here in the chat. I was answered many times with "give me your number and a supervisor will call you now". I kept being told that I was getting a call now, but I would wait and nothing would happen. Eventually after this happened a few times I did receive a call from a supervisor that basically told me the same things that the associate had stated. But when asked about the misinformation that was sent via email on my bill and why I was told that my order hadn't been shipped. All I received were apologies and that the associate was wrong. Still didn't get to edit the order, but did hear a lot of excuses. I'm sure the cookies are great. But the customer service needs work. Hopefully this helps others and/or is a cheat sheet when going through customer service at Cheryl's Cookies. P.S. I tried asking for help navigating the reviews and was texted back with like 3 different responses from Kristine. (Like, "Are you still with me?, Looks like you stepped away. Wow! So disappointed and disgusted by the customer service! Ordered product for Christmas for my parents and the website said it was to be delivered by the 18th or 19th of December. Those days came and went and was never delivered. I called to find out what was going on and found out they no longer had that particular package of cookies and instead they chose an alternativethat never even showed up and it wasn't a product that my parents would like! When I noticed I had placed two orders, I contacted customer service and asked for one order to be cancelled the same day, I was told order could not be cancelled because it was already processed. I was offered a Quarter of my money back. They were sorry for the inconvenience , but there was nothing that could be done. I spent close to $200 there and they could help me. Very disappointed. Yes, I, like the other reviewers below have been sadly let down by this company. I ordered a birthday cake for my daughter weeks before the delivery date and they didn't deliver, even though I was sent a tracking number with USPS. When I checked with USPS they still had not received the cake to ship. I contacted Cheryl's cookies and they promised to ship it and sent another tracking number, which was also showed no cake delivery to USPS. I've opened a dispute via Paypal to refund my money. Luckily I managed to order a birthday cake 24 hrs beforehand through a fantastic local bakery to be delivered on the day! Cheryl's took the money and didn't deliver. I dont know if I'm just lucky, but its insane to see so many 1 star reviews. The cookies weren't for me but for my boyfriend and his family, it was the medium 55 piece $75 cookie tray, with different types of cookies and a few fudge brownies. It was delivered on time, the customer service is not bad, could be better but just confusing. I feel bad for all the 1 star reviews, I am glad everything went accordingly. They have a weird site, they said it will be delivered on december 4th instead of 3rd, which is why I panicked at first. For now, my boyfriend said the raisin cookies were good, the fudge brownies are not bad, and its not as cloying as everyone makes it out to be. Perhaps we're lucky this time, i'd be a bit careful around ordering these but I wish this company luck, they need to step it up a bit if they want to succeed. 1000+ bad reviews and 200+ on trustpilot, it seems like this company has terrible rep. read more

I have gone round and round with customer service for an order placed on 7/27 for delivery between 8/1 and 8/7. I noticed on 8/1 that the package had arrived in Olathe, KS so was getting near its Wichita, KS destination. I logged back in on 8/7 to verify that the package had been delivered and FedEx still showed it was sitting in Olathe. Here is where the fun begins. I reached out to Cheryl's via their chat feature around noon. It first connects with some sort of AI and then after conversing briefly asks if you want to be connected to an agent. I was thinking that was why I was using chat, but I responded. Once you type "Yes", you are connected. Here is where it gets dicey. The agents have no clue what they are doing. On my first chat, the agent checked on the package, typed that it was to be delivered on by end of day and disconnected from the chat. I tried again and the same thing happened. Therefore, I waited until end of business day to try again just in case the package was magically delivered even though the FedEx site showed it was sitting in a city 4 hours away from destination. Once again, I went through the AI stuff and finally got a live agent on chat. They said the same thing as the prior chat agents and sent me a link to the FedEx information. I quickly clicked on their link to verify that we were seeing the same thing and it clearly showed packaged was still sitting somewhere in Olathe and clearly stated at the middle of the page "No delivery date is available for this item". I typed back to the agent to let them know that the link showed the package was indeed not being delivered and they disconnected me.....again. I started googling for a phone number as there is none listed on their site (first red flag) and finally found one through 1-800-flowers. When I dialed it, I was connect with the flowers people who must offer Cheryl's Cookies with their flowers so they were able to provide me with a 1-800 number for Cheryl's. I called that number and was connect with someone not in the US who was finally able to tell me in very broken English that the package did indeed appear to be lost and that they would ship a new package via 2 day FedEx at no additional charge. They also issued a new order number that they gave me over the phone Fast forward to 8/8 (the next day). I decided to check to see if the order was processing as the birthday it was to be delivered for was now past. I typed in the order number, shipping zip code, and sender zip code and was told that this order number was not in the system. I decided to start with chat -- I know, what was I thinking?!?. I typed in that I was looking to verify that my order had been sent but that the order number was not in their system. I was once again transferred by chat to a "live person". This person types back, "I see that you want to cancel your order." Where out of what I typed did they get that? I had typed the old tracking order number and the new order number and ended with "When I put that number into your system, I receive a message that says 'Unable to obtain order details for this order'. How do I know if it has been shipped and how do I track to make sure this one actually gets there?" I typed back that I was NOT canceling the order but was trying to make sure it was sent. They did apologize and were finally able to provide me with a FedEx number that shows a label has been created but package was not yet picked up. They finished by telling me that they couldn't guarantee a delivery date. That seems odd since they are supposed to be shipping it 2 day and the person on the phone the day before said guaranteed delivery on the 10th. I guess the message here is that I have no idea what the quality of the cookies will be or IF they will ever be delivered. The moral of the story is that if you order for someone else through Cheryl's, you had better call the recipient to see if they ever received the cookies as the cookies may be sitting somewhere lost. And if this does happen, enjoy going round and round with customer service. I have wasted over an hour trying to get a single order delivered. From reading other reviews, it looks like I am not alone. Note to Cheryl's Cookies -- I realize that things go wrong in shipping but your customer service people need to be trained to handle that. The people on chat obviously did not realize that on the FedEx website anything in purple on the progress map has happened. Anything in grey has not. Therefore, if "Out for Delivery" is not purple, the item is not out for delivery and is sitting wherever the last purple update indicates. If customer service has indeed moved over seas as appears to have happened from my experience and from that of others, bring it back to the States and train your people. You pick a date on their calendar for delivery and then they charge you $15 for FedEx Ground not guaranteed, to be delivered 5 days after my recipient's bday.... that's the excuse they give you. Telling me I should've ordered express service for a ridiculous amount for shipping. So now, this bday box will get there 5 days after their birthday and will be in transit for 9 days!! Unacceptable. We ordered over $100 worth of cookies to be delivered as Christmas gifts. They were to be delivered between December 14 and the 19th. They never came. We called Cheryl 's and they assured us that a replacement order would be mailed overnight and would arrive on December 21. They did not arrive on December 21 so we called Cheryl 's and we're informed that they would arrive on December 22 which is too late for what we wanted them for. We also discovered that the replacement did not contain the same cookies that we had initially ordered. So now we have cookies coming tomorrow which we do not want, we do not need, and they are too late to use. We were told that we will receive a $50 voucher since we didn't get what we wanted but that doesn't solve our problem and we may never order cookies from Cheryl's again. There is also no way to file a complaint directly with Cheryl 's. read more

It was so nice to receive a box of valentine's day cookies from a friend...the cookies were individually wrapped and shaped like a heart. The cookies had butter cream frosting on them and when I took a bite, the sugar content make the cookies good for the garbage. In my opinion, someone can not eat these cookies as they are so sweet. I called the customer service number to ask if this was typical for the cookies to be so sweet and the answer was yes, it is the frosting that makes them sweet.... but the lady thanked me for calling. Unfortunately, like many others, I think this company really misses the mark. I placed my order through a special with Brads Deals ($10 for six Valentine cookies), and they shipped last week and arrived yesterday. For me, the issue isn't with customer service or shipping times, but the quality of the cookies themselves. They're each wrapped individually in plastic and while I imagine this is to preserve them, it actually seemed to make them sweat/form condensation so they're a bit gummy. They also taste no different than the kind you find at the grocery store for $5 per box of 12 at every holiday. I mean no difference, seriously. The flavors are fine, but they're overly sweet to the point where you're thirsty after eating one. I wouldn't order from them again and can't recommend them to anyone. Stick with the cheapo grocery store kind if you want a bargain or spring for a nice local bakery instead. read more

In less than 12 hours, the online chat to cancel put me in a logic loop and would not cancel. When I called the number on the order I was transferred and put on hold twice. They say they ship your stuff but it's all lies. I ordered cookies $70 worth confirmed for a delivery on 1/28/22. They didn't show. Then I was told by a Cheryl's Cookies rep. They would be here on 2/7/22. They didn't show. When I called again I found out neither order ever shipped. No phone call or text or anything. First time ordering from this "I could not care less about you or your order because I already have your money" company and it is also the last. Placed one order for two boxes of 100 cookies to send to a vet hospital that has been providing such great care for our dogs. Paid some incredibly high amount for shipping (on top of the overpriced product - - nearly $400.00) to arrive in 2 - 3 days per the e-mail from this "company". After we placed the order, we called to make sure that both boxes would be delivered at the same time. The customer (lack of) "service" person with whom we spoke told us that she was not located anywhere in the US and conversed so as to make clear that she did not speak or understand English at even an elementary level, assured us that both boxes would be delivered at the same time. A couple days later, received an email saying that the order had been delivered. It had not. They delivered one box and the other box was nowhere to be found. Called this customer (lack of) "service" again and received the runaround again. Turns out the other box had not even been shipped. When you are on hold with this customer (lack of) "service" and you hear the recording of the "founder" saying how much they care about making people feel good with their products, it only makes you want to pull your hair out. I am so disappointed. I should have read the reviews. I ordered cookies for my son for Valentine's day - to be delivered on a specific day before the holiday. He is in the military and was getting ready to ship out. I picked the day I wanted them delivered and there was a delay notification. I phoned their customer service at 8:00pm that night and was told they would absolutely be there by 9:00pm (the end of their day). They, of course, did not arrive so I called the following day and they "I am sorry, but they would be there the following day", they were delivered - finally. The customer service person said they would give me a $20.00 towards our next order. Which I did not receive. I had also ordered a box of cookies to be delivered to for my assistant - those are delayed 4 days - when I called the customer service person again was sorry, but said that they have 5 days to get things out from the day you want them delivered. So why ask when you want them delivered - or put that on the website, or don't let you choose a date that is not possible for them to deliver on. At this point I asked to speak with a supervisor and was told someone would have to call me back "within the hour", she asked for my phone (which she had verified 2 times already) I gave it to her and no one called. Paid extra for my Christmas Elf cookie set to arrive on December 24th and was supposed to surprise my children with a gift from Mrs. Claus. Well, I received it two days early and my kids opened the box, read the note, looked at the receipt and packaging, and are now questioning if Santa exists. When I contacted the company about this, this was their response: Thank you for contacting Cheryl's, your business is important to us. I'm sorry your gift was delivered earlier than expected. Just a note, your gift is being shipped by Federal Express Ground and is not a guaranteed method of delivery. The only way to guarantee your gift will arrive on a specific date is to use one of our upgraded shipping methods such as Fed Ex 2nd Day Air or Fed Ex Overnight Air. I've made purchases from other sister brands without issue. Made a large order to customers, and employees. I was considering a few options however was sold on the rolling message at the top of the home page depicting the countdown for standard shipping. With a couple days of buffer, I placed the order. NONE of the deliveries are going to make it in advance of Christmas - none. I called a couple days ago and spoke rot a customer service representative who just couldn't care less. By reading the reviews its pretty clear that the their issues have existed for a while so rather disingenuous to flat out falsely advertising. To date we still have not received the order. I reached out to the live chat to ask about the order and was told it was "some" delay but the cookies would be delivered soon. I placed an order online for a mystery cookie box on April 23. It's shipped via fed ex. Fed Ex is supposed to send you a tracking number so you can follow the cookies journey. As of May 2 I received a tracking number that states the package is still in Ohio. The delivery date was to be on May 4. I called customer service and asked if they could locate the package and what I was told that the box of cookies were shipped on April 25 and to expect these cookies around May 10th. So Cheryl's Cookies takes your money with out a single thought, shipped it five days later and tells me I have to wait roughly 2 more weeks for the purchase to arrive. Such bullshit!!! Never again!! We love when Adrianna, Vera and Maverick receive a shipment of these delicious treats in a box from Gigi and a Papi every Valentine's Day! The cookies are always so fresh and tasty! The cut out heart cookies with the buttercream icing are absolutely amazing! They are so good that I ate 3 of them for dessert one night! The cookies stay so fresh since they are individually wrapped and it makes them easy to pack in lunches for school or work! If you can't eat them within 2 to 3 days of receiving them you can freeze them to preserve them and they are still delicious at a later time! Cheryl's cookies are absolutely amazing . . . the best available! However, the 50 minute customer service experience I have just had is enough to keep me from EVER ordering from the company again! I was checking on the delivery status of my most recent three orders. After nearly 50 minutes on the phone with Matthew, I still had no information on the orders. It was as though each of us was speaking a different language; most frustrating customer service call I have EVER had! After all that time on the phone, repeating the order numbers, recipients' names, etc., etc. over and over again, the call ended with Matthew agreeing to re-send the orders. I still have absolutely no idea what happened to my original orders, and now the Thanksgiving cookies will be arriving a very long time after the holiday. A couple of times during the call, when it was clear that Matthew was unable to provide me with the information I was requesting, and probably didn't even understand what it was I needed to know, I asked to speak with a supervisor. I ordered 4 of the same cookie assortment going to 4 different addresses all with the same delivery date/window. 2 were delivered the week before the specified delivery date/week. All 4 assortment's contained cookie types that were not specified; not what I ordered. Two calls to customer service only made me more pissed off! I believe the calls are routed to Twain? The customer service agents have a poor understanding of English and only offered a couple coupons for future orders? I placed an order of 60 different cookie baskets on December 2nd for a total of $3500 to be all delivered on December 19th, just in time for Christmas. What I ordered looked beautiful and had a nice variety of cookies with different frostings and pieces. They were in stock when I placed the order. Cheryl's ran out of stock and decided to do nothing at all. Nobody contacted me to ask if I want to replace the order with something else or anything. I called on the evening of December 19th and a clueless customer service representative told me I need to call next day the business center. Which I did. Then I got transferred few times and ended up speaking with someone. I was assured me via email that ALL the cookie baskets were re-ordered and sent on December 20th. They were not. I told customer service about that on December 20th after I received the spreadsheet that showed tracking numbers to about 10 of them and the rest were missing. On the morning of December 22nd, I called again and spoke with few other customer representatives, and I finally found a supervisor to help me. After spending 2.5 hours on the phone with him, going thru about re-ordering 13 of the orders, he assured me he will take care of all the rest and get back to me. Which he did a few hours later just to tell me it is still not completely done but he will get back to me later, which he did not. ALL of these orders that needed to be replaced (I presume about 45 of them) are not going to arrive in time for Christmas. So we basically deliver Christmas cookies after Christmas because of the incompetence of this company. Let me also mention that nothing of what I ordered initially was sent. They replaced my beautiful orders of cookies with boring cookie red and green replacements. (Yes, I asked the people that actually received them to send me pictures). About 15 of the 60 orders were received as of December 23rd. I am not even sure the rest will be sent yet as I still don't have a confirmation. It is unacceptable to do business this way and Cheryl's lost us as customers. We have been ordering cookies every year for our volunteers. They were looking forward to receiving these cookies and now they will not. Our order did not go in time, what was sent was NOT what I ordered and instead were sent boring cookies. I'm so disappointed that I have to give Cheryl's Cookies a bad review. Cheryl's has been my go to for special gifts for a few years but now I'm having second thoughts. On March 19, I ordered cookies for my sister. The total was $66.00. My credit card was charged immediately - normal process. My card was charged again on March 20 and again on March 21. I called customer service and they said the last 2 charges are "soft charges" and would be dropped in 1-3 business days - what??? I told customer service, in the Philippines, that I felt like I was robbed! I let them know they were using my credit card for unauthorized charges. Now I have to watch my CC to ensure I get credit for the unauthorized charges. I wonder if what they did is legal? read more

I have been a customer of Cheryl's since they began as a local company many years ago. The past few years I have noticed a reduction in quality of both delivery and product. Today is the final straw. I placed a Valentine's Day order January 29 for delivery by today, Valentine's Day. I checked on the status yesterday and my order hadn't even shipped. So this morning I called customer service only to be told they CANCELED the order late last night due to unavailability of product. I received no email, nothing to tell me this. I understand this day is a busy time, but good customer service would warrant at least replacing the item with a comparable product rather than leave a customer hanging on a holiday without a gift and without any notice that the order was canceled. After this post I will be calling to cancel my Celebrations Passport membership. I will not be ordering from Cheryl's again, nor their family of companies. I see now my loyalty is unreciprocated and this company has lost my trust. The one star is because the cookies are very good still, but if you don't know if you will receive them, why bother? read more
